We offer free estimates and do not sub contract any of our work. All of our installers are our employees.

History

Established in 1963.

Gilbert Brasher started the business in 1963. His son Gil worked with his Dad at the age of 16. Gil is now the co-​owner along with his wife Stephanie. Many family members have and still work for the company. Customer service has always been the number one priority with superb craftsmanship being the key. We have loyal customers that started with us in 1963 and are still with us today, as are their children and grandchildren.

In addition, we take pride in our community. We support and do business with other small businesses and we donate to local schools and charities.

Excellent service, products and experience! Gil, Stephanie and Frankie were so helpful in helping us select wood flooring and carpeting. Their crew removed old ceramic tile, installed the carpet upstairs and returned a month later to install wood on the entire lower level of the house. The guys were courteous, cleaned up and tried to keep out of our way. They flexed their install dates around our kitchen install and other contractors. Thank goodness they worked with us, so no stress! We have an appointment to have Gil come out and measure for bathroom tile floors. We highly recommend Gil’s. We found Gil’s Carpets on Unilocal!and can’t say enough about how great they have been.

Gil’s did a great job! We shopped around at both the big warehouse stores and small stores and Gil’s pricing was the best on the mid-​high level carpet. From the estimate appointment, which Gil did himself, to the installation, everyone was courteous and professional. The installers worked hard for two days moving furniture, installing the carpet and resetting the furniture, after thoroughly cleaning up after themselves. I highly recommend Gil’s Carpets.

I’ll join the parade of 5 star reviewers of this local family business. Gil’s recently installed a linoleum (‘Marmoleum’) floor in our kitchen. Installers Paul and Corey did a magnificent job — timely, thorough, detailed, and respectful of the home. Couldn’t be happier with the product and job. We’ll utilize Gil’s for any/​all future carpet, hardwood, and other floor treatments. These people are pros — and nice too.

Recently had carpet and linoleum installed throughout the house. Obtained 5 quotes from large and small local businesses, Gil’s came in significantly lower than all others by at least $ 900.00 on the same line of carpet from the same manufacturer. When his crews arrived they were professional, hard working and stayed throughout the completion of the project. Gil also suggested to us that baseboards throughout the house was an option. We are so happy we did it! Totally frames the new flooring and really dresses up the house. He stopped by three times during the installation to ensure that all was going as planned and that we were satisfied with the choices we made. We have already recommended Gil’s to family and friends, we couldn’t be more satisfied and happy with the entire experience. Terrific product, price, installation and professionalism.

Suddenly decided to sell my house when a home I wanted came on the market. I had a whirlwind weekend of prep and planning and Gils came out immediately to view my home and prepare a bid for new carpet. I received the quote the very next day, as promised. The carpet was in stock and available to install immediately. They came out two days later and made it happen! I was really impressed! Gil and his crew are simply the best of the best. We had them install hardwood floors in our entire house and I couldn’t be happier with their professionalism, courtesy, and flexibility to work within our timeframe. The icing on the cake was that they were the least expensive of the bids that we received. Based on the quality of their craftsmanship, they should have been the most expensive! I will absolutely use them again on our next project!

This company is excellent, they just finished installing my carpet today. It looks great. I was given all the samples I wanted, then Stephanie had more dropped off at my home.
Gil was right on time for are appointment and the installers did a beautiful job, they moved my furniture for me and when they finished the carpeting they vacuumed everything and replaced the furniture.
Great service from beginning to end. Need more company like this one.

Hardwood Magic. They might be called «Gils Carpeting» but they definitely install other flooring with perfection. Gil and his wife helped me pick out a new laminate hardwood and baseboards, gave me opinions and advice (appreciated) and their crew is fast, efficient, hard working and perfectionists. Gil the second generation owner shows up in person to do the measuring and also to check on the job. It was a dream experience. Don’t use anyone else. You’ll be sorry forever. Crew cuts outside, no dust inside and installed my entire downstairs, 5 rooms, removal or old, large furniture and installation of new with all baseboards in 4 days flat. I’m in heaven.

One of the best local businesses I have had the pleasure of working with. At this point they have covered the floors in nearly my entire house with the exception of my living room. They are working up an estimate for that even as we speak! These folks are great to work with and their crew is top notch. Gil’s did laminate flooring in our kitchen and dining room 2 years ago. We had some previously installed laminate in the house which we wanted to match. Gil was familiar with that product, had a small sample of it in his shop, but it was a discontinued product. He brought several samples out that he thought would be complimentary with the existing flooring. He made several trips with several more samples as I could not make a decision. He was very patient and had great ideas about what would look best. We had him out again last week to measure as we’re going to add some more laminate in the entryway and living room. Gil’s installers were great, very neat and polite, very competent. Compared to other experiences we’ve had with other companies, they are head and shoulders above. I wouldn’t use anybody else. I highly recommend them.

This is my first time posting on Unilocal and am doing so because Gil’s Carpets did an absolutely phenomenal job at our home… The carpet installers were amazing and had our carpet installed in just over a day… We also had some baseboard work done, again, phenomenal work. Just had Gil’s do a small cottage I am renting. Stephanie is like having your sister helping you. She immediately knew that I needed to have vinyl flooring in one area vs. carpet. She had samples dropped off at my door twice while I was at work. I never had to visit their showroom. After several estimates and changes of mind, they set a date to do the work and voila! Done in one day. The installer even re-​hooked up my tv so I could flop right down to Jeopardy! I so appreciated their personalized and attentive service and willingness to work within our budget. They may not be the lowest price, but they also are gimmick-​free: good old-​fashioned reliable service and quality. Without hesitation I would recommend Stephanie and Gil and would definitely use them again!

Gil and his crew are amazing. My wife and I gave them a call for an estimate, a couple hours later he was in our home taking measurements and showing us samples. I was quite indecisive as picking out the right carpet goes, took me two days to make the decision, they were all very patient and helpful in the process. After reading about people buying carpet that needed to be ordered and shipped I was quite apprehensive about the time frame as I was on a tight schedule. They had the carpet ordered, received, and installed all in just over a week, and that time included my time to decide on the right material. The installers were super friendly, and great at what they do. The finished product looks fantastic, I couldn’t ask for anything more. If you need carpet this is the place to go.
Oh, they also removed our old baseboards and put in new ones, those too look great, it’s amazing how these two things totally transformed our home.

From the beginning to the end of the process they were courteous and knowledgeable. The office help who made my appointment asked the right questions to be sure they were prepared to serve me. They showed up on time, brought the right samples, answered my questions, scheduled the installation based on my availability — not theirs. The installers showed up on time, were neat, careful with my things, offered to help we move something that I had forgotten, cleaned up behind themselves, told me what was going to happen, when they would be back, and they finished when they said they would.
All of this would not have meant anything if the work had not been done so well. My carpets look great and the hardwood is perfect — the installer a true craftsman and artist.
Their price was not the cheapest but it was more than reasonable. Add in the quality of the products and the customer service and it was a steal. I highly recommend Gil’s Carpets.

Nice guy… store is friendly but seems a touch more oriented towards commercial projects. Great selection of floor coverings. Serving different clientele than the low cost places so pricing is not in the same.
