In town for work and co-worker suggested. Authentic food, everyone was nice as we walked in, and as I understand this placed is usually packed. The sangria was great and the service attentive as we had more chips with salsa. Ordered the chimis with hot sauce, food came out hot and delicious… and a friend ordered the chicken tortilla soup. Wish we could have enjoyed a dessert but we were all too full… overall good meal reasonably priced.

Ordered a delivery from here and was very disappointed. We ordered a carne burrito, that was actually ok, but a small portion for the prices and not a good value. We also made the mistake of ordering the chicken wings. They were among the worst I’ve ever tried. Clearly they were of the frozen variety and oven warmed. They we’re breaded although not described as such. They were soggy and mushy and tasted rather nasty. The blue cheese dipping sauce was also a big disappointment. Side note: we ordered two slices of cheesecake and 30 minutes after ordering were informed they were«out». Clearly this will not be a return for us.

As far as I’m concerned there isn’t another Mexican Restaurant in the area worthy of my time. Always fast, always hot, always tasty, always friendly.

My wife and I had stopped in STL for the night and were in dire need of some food. We drove around a bit and ran upon Chihuahuas and we are so glad that we did. The pleasant atmosphere and incredibly friendly staff only made the great food that much better. The food was delivered hot and delicious, which coupled with some margaritas made for a great evening. Highly recommended.

I cannot give this restaurant a good review. When you publicly argue with your customers who have each spent a minimum of $ 35 dollars/each about a coupon. I no longer want to come to your establishment that does not value a customer. «We don’t honor coupons if you order a special» «you didn’t tell us you had a coupon ahead of time» WHAT! We easily spent $ 300+ tonight and you can’t give us a $ 5 break. Done. Your batches margaritas are terrible you need to buy top shelf to tolerate a drink…

My new favorite Mexican place! It has authentic Mexican food — way better than el maguey, chimis, three amigos etc. try the tacos nortenga — deliiishhhh! They closed at ten and we got there at 915 but they weren’t crabby at all and the food came out quickly. It was so delicious we scarfed it down in twenty minutes so everyone was happy! I had heard about this place from numerous people and it didn’t disappoint

I’ve been here twice. First time I’d give it 4 stars but this time was a 2.5. Good staff, they take your order on a tablet. Salsa is pretty good but if you don’t like spice then you should stay away from it. The main thing I noticed between both visits was the time of day. Lunch time was our last visit and there were more people than our first visit which was around 4 pm. According to a sign in the front window they are building a new location which looked pretty cool.

Ok I’m a nice person but how do I report a bug. In the bathroom. Running towards me. Hesitating. Turning around. Is it a cricket? Ok I’m ok with crickets. Is it s cockroach? Ewwww. Thx for dinner guys. Great chips.

I believe a great Mexican food establishment can be judged on their fajitas. If you don’t have good fajitas, not good. This place, great drink specials, the chips and salsa was promising, I was getting excited, then the fajitas arrived. Flavor was good. The bacon wrapped shrimp was good with respect to flavor, but I’m not certain when they cooked it. Seemed pre-cooked and warmed. The steak and chicken was extremely dry in the midst of the soggy vegetables. Steak was chewy, chicken was so dry I went through two glasses of water. Beans and rice were standard. I won’t return because the food was average. If you’re looking for cheap Mexican food this place may be for you. I don’t really care about the cost as long as its good, the service was poor. I ran out of tortillas(only got three?) and no one cared to offer me more. I only saw my waitress twice, once when I sat to order and once when I paid. I don’t recommend this place, sorry. Not sure what the buzz was about, if it wasn’t for the chips and salsa, this place would have received two stars.

I always get the chimi supreme with steak. Nachos are good too. The prices are a bit steep now but its still worth it! Margaritas are spot on!

Came to Maryland Heights for a work trip and found this little place and it is wonderful! Our waiter was very friendly and actually got me to try something new! The food has wonderful spice and seems very authentic, not one item I ate was bland. I’m already planning a trip to come back with my boyfriend, who loves Hispanic food!

This place isn’t bad and I actually like their food. I really like the sweet chips. The food is fairly authentic and the margaritas are great I usually go ahead go to happy hour and try a few things but my favorite is there a grilled chicken fajitas which are full of flavor and are good portion. Their fried cheesecake is also amazing but it is a diet buster! Sometimes it’s worth it. The staff is very friendly and the service is quick. This is one of the most authentic Mexican restaurants I have been to in St. Louis.

Chihuahua’s is one of my favorite restaurants in St. Louis! Fresh, hot, tasty food, with great consistent service, and a nice clean environment. Sweet tea, cheese dip, and anything with grilled chicken is the best! I see a few negative feed backs, and I had one not so great experience here once before. Keep in mind, I eat her several times a month! I notified a different waitress and she had our food out and drinks refilled in 5 minutes. This is a family owned business, very very nice people and employees. If you have an issue, they will fix it immediately. LOVELOVELOVECHIHUAHUAS! :)

We eat here at least once a week. We love the tacos nortenos and Juarez shrimp Fajitas. Guacamole is wonderful too! It’s a small treasure for the Maryland Heights area! Half Picher of Margaritas for $ 6 on Wednesday nights! Never disappoints!

I count that I have eaten here ten times now. It is close to my former co-workers and is a good place for Mexican lunch. I stand by my 3−½ star rating and have rounded down in the past, but since I keep going back, I will round up this time. They do a very good job with huevos con chorizo, the tacos al pastor are decent and tacos de carne asada are good. Lately I have been ordering carnitas and taking at least half home. The serving is large and the meat is tender and juicy, served covered with grilled onions. My latest server explained to my lunch partner that flour tortillas are the default, but they are happy to provide corn tortillas if you ask. They will make chiles torreados for a small charge and my last serving was three large chiles. My buddy had good looking grilled chicken breast topped with chorizo and cheese. Chihuahua’s is a full menu typical family Mexican restaurant, better than average, nothing remarkable or surprising. It is not a taqueria. I like that they participate in AAdvantage dining and will remain a 3 – 4 times per year lunch place for us. There are still a lot of things on the menu that I should try, but I keep getting carnitas and huevos con chorizo.

In the past, I’ve only been here for lunch and absolutely love the mini chimi’s on their combo meal! However, when I came for dinner, none of their combo meals had the chimi. So I opted to get a regular size chimi instead, figuring they’d be just as good. For me, it wasn’t as tasty as their lunch version, and maybe it’s because I ordered the supreme chimi, which came with a lot more toppings/fillings than I wanted. If they have other chimis, I didn’t see them on the menu though. Their chips and salsa and cheese dip rock! I’ll still be back, definitely for lunch and maybe for something different for dinner.

As I was looking for somewhere to eat tonight when I saw Chihuahuas and realized I haven’t left a review I knew I had to. I love this place!
