I am very impressed with the quality of work, and the customer service that I received. This was my first time building a site for my new company, and they were able to patiently answer all of my questions.
I found Controlled Fate through online searches and decided to work with them based on their portfolio. Originally I was only looking to build a basic website. After consulting with their team, I had them design my logo, website, and marketing materials. They turned the design into an interactive website that became my best sales tool. They were to-​the-​point and offered great ideas on how to market my business and website. After the site launch, I retained Controlled Fate for basic website maintenance and to handle my internet marketing.
I really enjoyed working with their team on this project. A lot of work went into the site, and we were able to finish on schedule, and within budget. They really are a one stop shop for all your web needs.

Would 100% recommend this company. They built me an amazing website that had everything I wanted. They were very attentive to my needs and always there to help me when I needed them. Great communication, very easy to get a hold of and or quick to get back to me. I hired Controlled Fate when I couldn’t get any farther with a website I was creating. After initially talking to them and expressing all the things I wanted and taking into account how they would go about making the website what I wanted it to be I hired them.
I am nothing but satisfied with the work that was done and the patience they had with me every time I wanted something changed or thought I wanted something different, the changes I wanted would be made and more times then not I didn’t like what I thought I would and went with what they had suggested to begin with.
I would recommend them and definitely use them again!

What at first seemed like a professional local web development company turned out be a complete 3 month long nightmare. In the beginning we were given the impression that they had a well staffed development team located in the states that would make the necessary changes to our website. We had a well developed site that was maintained in-​house. However over the last year or so, we had compiled a list of changes that we wanted to make. Based on the samples that were provided to us and all the false references of other high end sites that controlled fate claimed to have created or worked on, we decided to hire them over two other companies.
At first everything seemed fine and after my initial communication with Jessica, who is listed as the creative director on their site, much of the commutation shifted to Rob. It was at this point that I started realizing that they had over committed to a project that they did not have the necessary expertise to finish. Some of the things that I had clearly stated and mentioned to Jessica as part of the project were later removed because «it is out of the scope of the project». Some of the key changes we wanted to make to the site were made using the cheapest extensions available on Open Cart Marketplace and Controlled Fate team aka Jessica & Rob had virtually not idea how to customize these extension other than some basic knowledge that can be acquired using Google and by watching a handful of tutorial videos on YouTube. The updates they made had many bugs and we were not satisfied but wanted to move forward as fast as possible due to the approaching holiday season of 2013.
As per the agreement, we had to issue the final payment before the completion of the project in order for the project to go live as Rob insisted that any bugs or issues can be resolved as we go forward. We made the final payment in the hopes that some of the pending changes will be made once we go live. However within hours of our site being replaced with the patched up and so-​called newer version of the site went live. We took a huge hit in traffic. We remained patient for the first 2 – 3 days and inquired multiple times as to why we had lost 80% of our traffic. Unfortunately, they had no answer and kept looking for excuses. We had no choice but to ask then to restore the old site back onto our server and that was last I heard from Jessica or Rob.
No communication from that point onwards. Not a single followup email or phone call after taking $ 3,000 for adding extensions that would have costed them a total of $ 200. We realize our mistake that we trusted them to deliver when in reality they themselves were out sourcing the work. I say this with certainty because two months into the project I realized that someone else who was doing the development so they were outsourcing the work. In essence, we were paying a middle man to do the work that was being done out of country. STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS if you want to get a professional custom website because all they can provide as pre-​made template based sites.
