History

Established in 2012.

Bethany Fansler, though not originally from Texas, quickly grew a great respect for the unique landscaping designs of the state and how these designs merged both the laid-​back side of Texans with the hard-​working side. Within months, it was clear that many local landcape companies did not share her enthusiasm. They were entirely too quick to «mow and go.» She quickly joined forces with Kevin Willoughby, who has been in the landscape business for over a decade. Kevin and Bethany put their heads together and developed a specialized business plan, where customer service is paramount to success. Mantis Land Management works closely with its customers to design a service plan to meet their needs.

Mantis Land Management has a deep knowledge base of Texas plant life and is eager to share this knowledge and enthusiasm with customers. MLM is a class above its competitors, and provides lawn care at all price points, so everyone can have a yard they can be proud of.

Kevin Willoughby is the President and CEO of Mantis Land Management. Kevin spent years in the realm of Human Resources for Fortune 500 companies. Having grown up in West Texas, Kevin found himself longing to be outdoors and wanting to be an integral part of taking care of our state and its citizens. He changed his passion of landscaping into a career, which he has built over the past 10 years. Kevin is hands-​on with every customer’s yard, not satisfied until the customer is satisfied. When he’s not landscaping, he can be found watching the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Longhorns. To Kevin, landscaping is not just a job or a pasttime or a means of making a living, it’s a chance to share his passion with Texans, and help them enjoy what really is, the beautiful outdoors.
