Really disappointing. Stale tortillas, fajitas were bad, salsa from a jar. Don’t go! Friendly attentive service, but the food was not up to par.

Reliable spot for a Mexican lunch. Service is sometimes hit or miss but the food is consistent. The lunch specials are great when you have an hour or less for lunch. Parking can be difficult sometimes.

I am always looking for new places to eat with good food. When I noticed this place had average 4 stars I was hopeful. We entered into an average space decorated in that cheesy after thought Mexican resturant style. Ok no harm done lets get down to business. So, we ordered a plate with a chess enchilada, tamale, crunchy beef taco, rice and beans. I always judge a Tex mex place by their cheese enchilada with chili concarne. Chips and salsa were ok but nothing special and no heat. The food arrived looking unappealing lay average. The first bite of cheese enchilada revealed a flat gummy wanna be. Seems it was pre made and staked, maybe frozen and heated when needed. It was drenched in a bath of room temp chili con carne that again had little to no spice. The tamale was ok, taco passable, rice yes, beans runny. All in all if you are in McKinney and driving thru this area, why not. I mean they may have something you like. But if you are native Texan like me and know and want a high caliber of Tex mex then move on.

Tacos Mixtecos are amazing! Best salsa verde in TX. Whatever you get, make sure it has salsa verde on it. Outside of the food, the wait staff was great. Our waiter made a mistake with part of our order, but he was quick to let us know and make it right. We had a great experience.

My boyfriend and I came here on a Tuesday afternoon around 2:00. There was only one other customer but that may have been just a weird time. The customer service was slow and I would have expected the opposite since there was only one other guest… The chips came out warm and weren’t entirely covered in salt or grease. The salsa was very good and really spicy! I ordered a strawberry margarita and my boyfriend got a regular one and both cost just under 5 dollars– and very strong! We both ordered the chicken lunch fajitas. The portion size was great but they didn’t come out sizzling which was a little disappointing considering how long they took. The bean soup was really good and the rice was delicious. I would definitely go back again especially because Wednesday’s the margaritas only 2 dollars!

We’ve been coming here for years. It’s always been a pleasure, the wait staff is wonderful, and Arturo the owner is the hardest working restaurant owner I have ever met. Always a friendly greeting at the door, prompt service, and wonderful food.

I hardly ever give any place less than 3 Stars. Especially when the location and staff are great. The waiters were very friendly and the location is beautiful. And that’s about is. The food… was horrible! And I mean, Horrible. When I took a bite out of my burritos covered in cheap theater nacho sauce, I was done. When I ask around the table, everyone else couldn’t eat their food either. And everyone had ordered a different plate. I guess some people might find this place edible, but not me.

Came here for a networking event luncheon. The staff were very friendly. Complimentary chips and salsa were already on the table. One of the best salsa’s I’ve ever had. A bit spicy but still very good. Since the salsa and chips were so good I had high hopes that the food would be just as great. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I ordered the garlic pescado(fish), with salad and rice. It was beyond horrible. The fish didn’t seem to be cooked all the way and it had some weird egg-ish type of something crusted on top of it. The rice had a lot of burnt pieces on in it and was tasteless. Salad was okay, I guess. At first, I thought I was tripping. Like how could everything be so horrible. So I asked the people next to me if they liked their food and they all said no also.

Our go to for Mex, family dining, great service, and hot food… An old family business and they take care of the customer… they know how to treat customers. Always a welcome at the front door, and very sincere. I get Carne Asada… spiced just right… good mix of sides.

PLEASEREADBEFOREGOINGHERE!!! The food was nothing special at all and then we get our check(which is written out) and our food total was $ 42.43, our drink total was $ 12 and some change, and our tax was $ 2.75. The total after calculating it on my phone was $ 58 and some change and the total that he wrote was $ 62 something. **HEADDEDANEXTRA $ 4TOOURTOTAL** He assumed we wouldn’t add up the food, beverage, and tax totals that HEWROTEOUT and tried to sneak in an extra tip for himself when it came to the total amount. That’s considered stealing in my book and unacceptable.

I had the Yucatan chicken and my husband had steak and chorizo. This place is more authentic Mexican then Tex-Mex and is absolutely delicious. The waitress was attentive and there is always a very warm welcome when you arrive.

I orders the pollo Azteca and it was very good, best Mexican food I’ve had in Texas, nice and friendly service. They did everything we asked. Nice atmosphere. Great sopapillas and bean soup. It’s a must eat!

Service was really good. Food is good. We’ve been here a few times and so far it’s quite good. Parking is not so great, but if you go on the weekend or evenings, you can park in the lot next door.

It seems like Mexican and Tex-Mex are popping up everywhere! I don’t care as long as I can go to San Miguel’s! They have authentic delicious food and the service is second to none! When we lived in Plano over 20 years ago we used to frequent Mario’s Chiquita where Arturo of San Miguel’s used to be manager. It was our favorite place and were so happy to find him again about 10 years ago in San Miguel’s in McKinney! I feel like family there and can count on a wonderful meal every single time! I highly recommend the Carne Asada with the Green Cheese Enchilada and the grilled Linares Cheese! My husband loves the Bebe and my daughter loves Fajitas! But start out with their fabulous Chicken Nachos which are the best I have ever tasted! My husband gets Dos Equis, Tecate or Corona and I usually get the frozen Margaritas… YUM!!! Questions were asked here about reservations, I have never needed them but fr a big group on the weekend I’d give it a shot & also asked about a TV… I think there is one in the Bar area but we are always in the Dining section so I wasn’t sure!

Great local place — great food, fun, casual atmosphere and terrific service. Would recommend the fajitas and a margarita silver.

I went here for lunch on Tuesday. I had veronica plate — tostado, taco, and something else(I couldn’t tell what it was) $ 9.15 plus coke $ 2.00. The food was tasteless. Just bland. Taco chips were greasy. I only gave it 2 stars because the parking lot was full — so maybe other people find something to like about this place — I don’t. I don’t see how they stay in business.

Stopped on my way back home to Denton. I am very disappointed. I asked for coke and they were out. I the proceeded to ask for another drink and told they were out. I ordered a chicken with green salsa which was okay but definitely nothing spectacular about it. The boss however was very very friendly! Don’t know if I’ll be back anytime soon.

This is our new spot. We always noticed that the parking lot is full so figured we’d better check it out. So glad we did. The staff is wonderful, very friendly and attentive. We didn’t have to wait for anything from being seated to having our meal served promptly. The margaritas were yummy and the food delicious! I would definitely recommend this restaurant and we’ll sin be regulars!

I give this place 3 stars, I ordered steak fajitas. It was okay. The meat had very little flavoring and they give you such a small portion of trimmings. I had to ask for more pico de gallo and was informed it was .75 cents more, For 12.99 i shouldn’t have to ask for more and if I do, it should be free IMHO. The Margarita was awesome!

I tried the shredded chicken nachos that another Unilocaler suggested and was not disappointed! I can’t wait to take my man here! So far he has been disappointed in the Mexican restaurants we’ve tried.
