I came here for a free Kung Fu Panda 3 première. It was fantastic! The movie was the best of them yet. Clearly the intended audience was not my intended age group but it was rather enjoyable. They gave us a free popcorn and a drink as well as some coloring pages at the end of the movie.
Honestly, I loved the movie and the experience and the venue was just good. It wasn’t great, the screen and seating options were usual, but it hosts cool events like that and is right next to all the other mall things so it was good.

They have reserved seating now! What? That means that you must pick your seats before you enter the movie. The cashier will ask which seat you want to reserve. They will show you a picture of the seats. It is a detailed map of the seats so no need to worry about that. Your job is to just look at the map and verbally tell the cashier which seat you would like.

There are a lot of good things about this theatre. Location wise, I like that the theatre is in a mall– it means that you can easily stop by the food court instead of paying hell to eat movie theatre food. If you drive, you can park for free in the mall’s parking lot and if you metro, you can take the Silver line.
They have a good number of large theaters and it’s pretty clean coming in. For popular showings, they’ll play concurrent shows in different theaters. You can watch shows in standard def, imax, 3D, or imax 3D. While it’s mostly clean, there have been times when they fell short on prepping the theater in time for the movie. Otherwise, I think they’re great.

Watched Star Wars here in 3D IMAX ! Thy have great visuals and sound. I really like how you can pick you seat before going to the movies. This is an added bonus if you know you will be running late, or looking for a particular seating area. Staff, seem pretty cool. Overall this is my go to Movie Theater.

I have to agree with recents posters below. The place is filthy. We walked in for the 4:00 Star Wars show and saw popcorn and slop all over the floors and carpets. Trash receptacles were overflowing. The women’s room was disgusting. Floors were sticky and the sound was just TOO LOUD. I don’t have sensitive ears but my ears hurt after watching Star Wars and are still ringing as I type this. Both my husband and I put wadded up napkins in our ears to help muffle the audio. And somehow this family of four spent over $ 50.00 on just four popcorns and drinks. We’re definitely going to Angelika or somewhere else next time

The worst movie theatre experience I’ve ever had. We purchased movie tickets and selected our seats weeks in advance. Upon arriving at the movie theatre, we attempted to print our tickets at the lobby kiosk. The kiosk did not recognize our confirmation code and directed us to the main desk. After waiting in a long line, we were met with an unhelpful worker who then directed us to a customer service desk. After some additional waiting we finally recieved a printed ticket. We arrived at the theatre 30 minutes early only to walk into the movie late due to all the problems we experienced trying to get our tickets. Unfortunately that was only the beginning of our troubles.
After locating our seats, we soon realized that the movie theatre had double booked our seats. Fortunately the people sitting next to us were willing to make room for us. We finally had a chance to grab a few concessions once the movie started only to discover that there was no ice available for drinks. Seriously, I just paid for a $ 10 soda, and you don’t have ice? I will never visit this movie theatre again.

The chairs here are so old and small I felt so bad asking my 6’4 boyfriend to stay once I sat down. There’s better theaters with reclining leather chairs offering plenty of comfort and space a short drive away. There are also several area theaters offering full meals and adult beverages. (Courthouse, iPic, Alamo)

Good location. Opens late. Reserved seating is a plus. Self service booths available. Tickets range from $ 12 – 18 (3D). The only reason why it’s a ³⁄₅ for me, its the hygiene of the place. ⁷⁄₁₀ times I have walked into one of their theaters I have found popcorn on the seats, wrappers or empty bottles/​cups on the cup holders. The seat covers need to be replaced ASAP. The seats are covered in black stains and look less than appealing to seat on. Hopefully AMC would invest in this location and transition from stadium seats to the trending recliners.

In theory assigned seats may sound like a good system but in practice, you see people standing up and arguing because they can’t figure out their seats lol.
Seats are pretty dirty, good thing it’s dark and you can’t really tell.
I like the location and the mall is great to hangout while waiting for the movie.
Love the new self service kiosks. They should lower the prices since they need fewer employees.

The manager is a total jerk. Poor customer service, talked down to people’s like they are kids. Doesn’t show that they appreciate customer at all. Just a reminder to AMC, you are not the only theater around. There is regal and they respect their customer. You don’t give your customer poor explanation of rules and policy by telling them to read the disclaimer. Also don’t accuse the customer and threat kicking them out. This will be the last time will visit this location and I will specially considering Regal instead of AMC.

Went with my friend there who lost his wallet in the theater. Didn’t find the wallet that day. Was able to find the number to the theater and call to see if they found it. They don’t have a direct number on their website.
The movie was great and it was a nice theater. We had a great time. Tyson’s Corner mall is a great mall to walk around in.
Will be coming back in the future to see a movie.

Typical movie theater. Large and I love the seats BUT it does always seem to be dirty. Unsure if it’s just because people are dirty and don’t clean up after themselves, or if the people working there are just a bit lazy. Of course movies are all getting to be too expensive, and this place is pretty much the same.
That being said — aside from the many young teens that hang around there — the mall is a great place to hang out while waiting for the movie, and there are plenty of restaurant options to eat at before the movie as well.

This movie theatre is always packed. You’ve got your kiosk ticket option or ticket counter, but be smarter than that even and purchase online. Save yourself the trouble.
You select seating when you purchase tickets and that is awesome. If you do it with some anticipation, get the seat you prefer. Recently I’ve not been biding my own advice and have been a neck snap away from a 90 degree angle.
They have a vast selection of snacks and movie theatre food — popcorn, chicken nuggets, candy, nachos, etc. Lines are long there too, but what can you do.
The seats are very comfortable and you can raise and lower the arm rest. I have watched a handful of people almost bite it since the rails are against the wall and not by the seats, which seems like an error in structural judgement.
They have all the movies I’ve wanted to watch. Prices are just as high as every other theatre (so comparable), and though super busy, I’ve been able to find a spot in every movie I’ve gone to see.

Not waiting to see if I get an STD from the dirty seats. Heading to the clinic now. Not going to that theater again. It’s like porn theater nasty (ah not that I would know). :)
Clearly the theater paid for a bunch of fake positive reviews. Don’t fall for it people.

Need a movie break from shopping or maybe want a movie datem AMC Tysons Corner is the place. You can even score some discount movie tickets from Costco or because this movie theater is SO large, the selection of movies to pick from is bountiful and sometimes the movie you want to see if here so you come (me me me)
You can buy your tickets online or at the kiosks in front. There is a typical movie theater bar for snacks and stuff (cool make your own soda machine) but to be honest, there are much better choices to get your grub on in the food court across the way or restaurants in the mall. Dinner a movie anyone?
Regular movie theater seats. The movie theater in Courthouse and iPIC REALLY spoiled me but when you want to see a movie and it’s only playing here, you come here. A-​OK

Review Movie I Saw
Overall: 3.75 Stars
The two biggest pros about this AMC Theater are the seating reservations and the multiple viewing options. The earlier you arrive the more likely you will get a seat you prefer (back and center). The rows are labeled appropriately and each seat is numbered. Getting confused as to the location of your seat is unlikely.
IMAX, 3D, normal, live actors playing out the movie, of maybe not the last option. You have a lot to choose from when viewing a specific movie (if it is available). The prices are reasonable especially compared to New York prices. A standard ticket is $ 12.99 which is $ 2.00-$ 3.00 cheaper Manhattan.
The crowds are pretty heavy even on weeknights. I cannot imagine how busy it is during the weekends.
Theater size, cleanliness and concession stands are all above average in comparison to all the movie theaters I’ve visited. Concession prices are astronomically inflated as usual, but still reasonable (LOL) in comparison to other theaters.
With all the other amenities nearby this theater is worth a visit, even if there are a lot of teenagers/​children. As long as they are quiet and well-​behaved during the showing it shouldn’t matter.
Now if only the movie I saw was as good as the theater itself.

Good movie theater option in the NOVA area.
I like the fact that now you can choose your seats at this place. It makes a huge difference when you’re trying to plan your evening and want to buy tickets in advance. I can’t tell you how many times I’d buy tickets early only to get stuck in the first few rows of a theater. This really helps resolve the uncertainty.
It’s also cool that they have the hi-​tech coke machines here that let you choose from a wide variety of beverage options.
The theater itself was clean, spacious and had pretty decent line of sights. It’s also right by the food court and other restaurants like TGIF’s, which is helpful if you want to grab a bite to eat before/​after the movie. Parking in Tysons Corner is also relatively easy to all in all this is a good place to consider catching a movie if you’re in the area.

So much youth! From toddlers to teenagers, this movie theater is teeming with Generation Z and below.
This is not my movie theatre of choice but it it’s sheer size means more movie options and times. It is also convenient to 495 and 66 AND has free and abundant parking which means it is always a good halfway meeting spot with friends.
I like the fact that you can reserve seats ahead of time, which means your chances of sitting in the front seat and getting sick from being too close to the screen is slim if you plan ahead of time.
That being said, I do not find the seats a comfortable as the roomy recliners at Courthouse and Springfield Mall.
Tickets are about $ 13 a pop for a night flick but you can save almost half price by purchasing the AMC Gold Pass at Costco. The savings are huge, especially when you are treating family members to a night out. They also make great gifts as well! The only caveat about the Gold Pass is that you are unable to reserve seats ahead of time so this might not be good for opening night.

I feel like Tysons is really doing a lot to try and keep up with the growing competition for great movie theatres in the Northern VA region. They still might not have the crazy reclining chairs that Court House has, but they do offer reserved seating and generally has the best selection of movies (i.e. they play the biggest variety of films) in the entire area.
PLUS, they do seem to be constantly making improvements. They’ve recently installed those DIY freestyle soda machines and put the Icee machines on the outside, so you can get your own drink refills now. SO much better than having to stand in line and miss the movie to get a refill! The sugar rush that I got from my half-​white cherry, half-​blue raspberry Icee was toooottally worth it.
Ticket prices are expensive (especially if you buy yourself tickets to the enhanced audio, 3D, or IMAX viewings, but if you go before noon any day of the week, they’re half-​price!

Here’s the problem with reserved seating:
People feel entitled to sit in those seats even if they show up 10 minutes late for the film.
There I was enjoying «Fast and Furious 7: Physics-​Lite» when about six people decide to electric slide their way down the row in front of me to their seats. That would’ve been fine if they didn’t start arguing about who would sit where for FIVE minutes! At one point, one of the turned on his flashlight to??? The ushers just stood on the side and watched, the power of minimum wage preventing them from intervening.
The theater itself is nice: large screen, comfy chairs, $ 13 tickets, $ 27 popcorn. I don’t understand how we as a society have allowed theater prices to get this high, but somebody needs to start a telethon to raise awareness.
