Bliss Nails

A friend and I have been going to Bliss for a couple years now for pedicures only. We are definitely a fan as they are very nice, clean and above all do a decent pedi! Lately it seems as though the staff have undergone an overhaul though. Hopefully the new and any remaining staff will continue to be awesome but time will tell since I’ve only seen new staff a couple times. Also they raised their price to $ 38 which is still within my range of acceptable cost for the service they provide in a spa pedicure.

Bliss has become my go-​to nail salon. They are always very accommodating, I rarely have to wait, and my gel manis consistently last more than 2 weeks. What other places, I’m ready to get my gels off after a week and a half but at bliss they look good longer every time.

I called them around 2pm for a 6:30 appointment and they were able to fit me in the day before New Year’s Eve. Initially they asked if I could come in earlier but were so accommodating when I told them I couldn’t because of work. Lanie did my nails, a beautiful, meticulous gel manicure that I couldn’t be happier with. Almost a week out and still holding strong, more than I can say for some other places I’ve been. She was so sweet too! I will absolutely be returning when I need this re-​done. It was a very calming environment also, peaceful. :)

I live in LA and am completely spoiled at my Beverly Hills nail spa so when I found myself needing a color change/​acrylic fill /​gel mani & pedi along with some festive New Year’s Eve designs in Boston I was… doubtful that I would find a nail spa that could compare. Boy oh boy how I was wrong! I was referred to Bliss Spa and was blown away. I had one of the best pedicures I have ever had in a super relaxing, private spa room. I showed my artist JEANNE (she’s amazing!) a picture from Pinterest for inspiration for my nails and she actually put the picture to shame. Free handed the most consistent lines I’ve seen in quite some time and was super sweet and excited to meet my wants and needs. I sat next to PATRICIA and saw the amazing work she did on another client as well! This place is super blissful** and i would highly recommend going there! Thank you Jeanne and Patricia

I’ve had my nails done twice here. First time was a regular manicure. Second time was a gel manicure. I love the gel manicure! Amanda (from Nepal) was the one who did my manicure. My friend had her nails done by another nail tech, and she also did a fantastic job. I’ll only write a review of my gel manicure with Amanda. She did an amazing, and very thorough job of cleaning my nails and cuticles. She wasn’t rough or cut my skin. I wanted a design on my nails, and she picked the perfect sparkles needed for my design. She did a fantastic job!!! I would recommend going to Bliss nails, and seeing Amanda.

I’ve never gone back to a nail salon more than a handful of times until I think hmmm, I’m sure there’s someplace better. Well, after coming to Bliss Nails more than a few times, I won’t be going anywhere else.
SALON: It is super clean, there is nothing in this place that has ever made me cringe, or think I hope that is sanitized. I recommend making an appointment. Also, if you can go in the middle of the week around 5pm that is when they are slow. The staff never rushes regardless of how busy they are but I feel like they give you a little extra time when it’s slow.
STAFF: I’ve had Miriam a bunch of times for a pedicure, she is absolutely amazing. I’ve had other manicurists and they are all great as well.
PEDICURE: the classic pedicure is one of the best basic pedicures I’ve ever had. First, you are taken back to semi-​private rooms where the lights are dimmed except for a spotlight on your feet. (This is great for girl time — I love going with a friend or my mom, it gives us that exclusivity feeling everyone loves). After your feet are cleaned up, they put a warm wash cloth over your legs, the spotlight is turned off and you are given a massage on your lower legs and feet — SO relaxing! I would say the massage lasts for 15 – 20 minutes but I’ve never timed it.
MANICURE: I’ve only received basic manicures here which are wonderful. They actually last me 3 – 5 days which is good for me because usually when I leave a nail salon with a basic mani my polish is chipped not even 24 hours later.
All in all this is a great place to get your nails done if you don’t mind spending a little extra money. In my opinion it is completely worth it. I am totally relaxed after my appointments and I never go there questioning the sanitary conditions.

Just got my nails done today and I already felt so satisfying! My nails was really bad for almost like a month because of my stripped cuticle and they suggested me to do a new set of gel fill. What can I say? It was wonderful!
It was Patricia who did a new set of gel powder on my nail. Seeing that my fingers are so small and sensitive, she ran the nail drill very soft and smooth. I also wanted a gel color on top so that it could last longer and Bee did a fantastic job. I usually get more than one colors on my nails so I picked a combination of sheer red, sparkle yellow and a nude color; surprisingly it turned out very well. I have to post the picture up here to show you guys how awesome they are. Although it took forever to finish but since I requested a design with rhinestones, it’s worth it! Well, did I mention a perfect scrub with massage after that?

Love this salon! Feels super expensive but is standard prices. Great quality manicures with well trained staff!
Getting a pedicure there is a real treat because the rooms are separated and they turn the lights off during the massage portion which basically puts you to sleep it’s so relaxing!

I’m in love with this nail place. I’ve tried others and to be honest, this is the best one. I’m Brazilian, and i like my nail WELL done, including cuticles and all. I’ve been there a couple of times and did my nails with 2 people. Lena and Avon. They are GREAT! I did dip gel the first tim w Lena and she did exactly what i wanted, which was very natural looking and Kylie Jenner looking nails. And she did exactly that! (If i find a picture, i’ll post it) and i did gel mani a couple of times there too with both after i removed the dip gel, and of course, it came out amazing. I did a nail design for the first time with Avon and it came out amazing! I tried other nail salons and it doest last as long or looks as good. I’m sticking with this place, the price is worth it for the quality.

I have been a loyal customer to Bliss Nails, getting a gel manicure, pedicure and eyebrows waxed regularly. The past few times I stopped myself from writing a review when I have been dissatisfied, but kept giving them another chance because the location is so convenient-​close to home with plenty of parking.
I don’t know if there’s new management or what but this place is completely different than what it’s been a year or two ago. I feel as though it’s more like a factory than a spa.
What really got me going was my last visit there for the usual-​gel mani, pedi and eyebrow wax. Same girl did all three. She started with my eyebrows (she has never done my eyebrows before. I usually go to Patricia-​who is AMAZING but she was gone on maternity leave and my schedule never matches up with hers anymore) the whole eyebrow wax experience was rough. At the end she held the mirror for me to see. Tried to hold the mirror she pulled it away… weird. Then I get home and noticed the ends of my eyebrows weren’t even touched! I still had little hairs in places that should’ve been cleaned up.
Pedicure was fine until the next day… my feet didn’t feel nice and fresh like I had just got a pedi. I felt like I already needed another…
Manicure was ok. I asked for a round shape. I don’t know what kind of shape she gave me but it was so uneven and of course I didn’t realize until I got home. My fault but after working for 12 hours that day my attention to detail wasn’t that great.
So then comes to pay…$ 106 for all three services. WHAT?! Since when does Bliss Nails charge that much? Sorry I’m not in Boston, your prices have never been that high.
I would’ve normally gone back the next day, I mean I just spent $ 106 before tip and I wasn’t happy with either service I received. But unfortunately I left at 5am the next morning for vacation and by the time I got back it was too late to complain.
So out of curiosity I check the website and there’s a notice that they had to increase their prices. I have been wanting to look for another nail salon but just couldn’t give up on Bliss just yet since I’ve been going for such a long time. This was the final draw I don’t think I can ever go back to Bliss.
I’m still giving Bliss Nails two stars for two reasons. First, as mentioned earlier, Patricia is amazing at eyebrows and manicures. She always made sure to fix any flaws and would even do nail art on the whim without whining and complaining (like some other girls). Second reason is the receptionist. I’m not sure of his name but he knew me on a first name basis. One day their credit card machine was down and I had no cash on me, the manicurist asked if he could write down my card info and process it later… UM WHAT?! Do I look that dumb? So I asked the receptionist if I could run to Walgreens across the parking lot since they do cash back. His response «of course we know you. We know you’ll be back» so thank you for trusting me.

I have mixed feelings about this place. Been there many times because it’s next door. Including my bachelorette mani-​pedis with dozen of friends. The experience is hit or miss based on receptionists’ mood and who does your mani-​pedi.
Their manicures are usually great and last longer than any other place. 2 weeks+ for regular and my gel grew out with my nails. They look very good too and usually are perfectly done.
The place is clean and peaceful.
Many people from the staff don’t speak english. So when they are rude, it’s hard to tell if it is just miscommunication or they are really rude.
They have limited colors in gel, hard to find exact color that you are looking for.
Massage chairs in pedi section don’t work, which sucks for me. Part of the reason why I go for pedicure is that massage chair.
Also they are on expensive side. It costs almost $ 60 for regular mani+pedi. That’s excluding tips. I have got a grumpy look for paying 18% of tip.

Nice and friendly people. Really pay attention to what you need. I can’t find another place better than this one…

If you want an escape and to relax for just a little bit-​this is the place. It was my first time here and I’ll be back. The ambience was peaceful and relaxing. My spa pedicure was in a semi private room where my nail tech created a wonderful experience. It was $ 38 which was a tad more than expected but worth it for what I got. They take tips in cash only which I was not prepared for and felt bad. The gentleman who did my nails was so nice and understood since it was my first time.

The first reason I went with Bliss Nails after making a few calls was because they were able to promise a reservation for four chairs for me, my mom, and two close friends. The other places I called weren’t sure whether or not they’d have enough people to take care of us at once, or didn’t have enough chairs. I loved hearing a receptionist knowing what he was doing and guaranteeing four chairs at 11:15 on a Saturday. When we arrived a few minutes early, the nail techs were all ready for us, rooms cleaned, foot baths ready for soaking. They didn’t put any pressure on the two in our group who couldn’t decide on a polish. It was immediately apparent we were in an extremely clean, quiet, and professional environment.
The pedicure rooms are completely relaxing and delightful. They are sectioned into rooms of two, with curtains pulled behind the nail techs once they sit down to work. The chairs were high-​quality pedi chairs, which not only had the massage feature, but also slid back significantly for tall people. The shortest of our group is 5’9″, and I top off close to 6’1″. I was completely comfortable. The techs we got, Miriam for my friend and Susana for me, were wonderful. The lights were nice and dim over our heads, but low and bright so Miriam and Susana could do their thing. It was very comfortable to mellow out and chat, and, because I had made the reservation for four, Mom and my other friend were in the room next door. We knocked back and forth a little and were in complete heaven. Miriam and Susana were clearly focused on the tasks at hand, as some clients, I’m sure, don’t want to talk during a service. My friend and I, however, are chatty with everyone and we talked as much as a group of four as we did just between the two of us.
To spend $ 35 for a pedicure sounds like a lot, but you get what you pay for. The Signature pedicure still comes with a calf and foot massage (so good), aromatherapy, and some kind of magical cream that dissolved even my disgusting calloused and cracking heels. Add those things to friendly and skilled techs, and it’s worth more than $ 35. My toenails are constantly breaking or splitting from so much time getting pounded in sneakers, but Susana made them pretty. She even went out of her way to get nail glue to try and keep my right big toenail from breaking off very low.
It’s worth noting that the selection of polishes is vast and varied, and are all of high quality.
I noticed they offer other spa services, and I will look forward to returning there for the beautiful and calm atmosphere, the on-​time appointments, and the kind and knowledgeable staff. I have nothing but positive things to say about Bliss Nails, and that’s a big deal. Now I’m thinking I should really get a manicure soon…

I rarely spend the money for a mani and pedi. To be totally honest, I like to paint my own nails and I’m a huge foot-​wuss, who works diligently to get calloused feet so shoes don’t hurt me. BUT — there comes a time in every lady’s (or dude’s) life when you gotta step up your game and bring in the professionals to make you look your absolute best. It’s during those occasions (i.e. getting did for a wedding) that I take my ass to Bliss.
The shop is clean, pretty large and a generally pleasant experience. Most recently, I got a bomb pedicure from Susanna — who was thorough and kind. My feet and toes were their prettiest for weeks afterward The toe polish was perfect for 4 weeks and would have been for longer, if my nails didn’t need to be trimmed.
I also got a gel mani which, while on the pricier side ($ 35), totally was worth it. My nails were shiny and smooth and perfect for three + weeks.
Always a fantastic experience!

This place is clean, elegant, professional and convenient for a quick pedicure on my lunch break.
$ 25 for an express pedi in less than an hour. Not bad.

I am shocked this place does not have more 5-​star reviews! I come here for pink and white gel manicures, and they are done perfectly every time.
Also, the pedicure here is top notch. $ 55 for an hour gel pedicure which includes 15 minutes of massage to my feet and legs? Sign me up! I am not divulging my nail tech as I want to keep my standing 2 week appointment time! The line for the pedicure here should really be out the door.

I’ve been a regular client here for about 3 yrs. My favorite nail tech left, so I now see Tony for pedicures and Lesa for a regular manicure. (she doesn’t do gel).
They are usually pretty good about honoring appt times, so def make an appt well in advance. Pricier than your run of the mill $ 35 mani/​pedi combo, but it’s usually worth the extra price, at least for the pedi, IMO.

I have been going to Nails & Co in Peabody for about a year & LOVING the service I get there (25 min massage with the lights off), WHO does that?! Then I heard that Bliss was somehow related to Nails & Co so off I went for my lunch break last week as I was sold that now I dont have to drive all the way to Peabody…
So I get in & had Tony (WHO I LOVE!!) and had the BEST pedi in a long time AND got the same 25 min massage… Will ONLY be going to Bliss moving forward, I mean really… Around the corner from my home & really close to work — I cant complain… Loved the service, loved the people…
My only complaint — for someone like me who religiously gets a pedi every other week & likes to bounce from Light to Dark & vice versa the color selection was a LITTLE lacking… There were TONS of Red Shades & Darker Purples but NO TEAL… and not many other bright summer colors (In OPI that is — there were several Esse colors) but Im an OPI whore… I will just have to bring my own moving forward, but this is where Im going from now on!
