We have been customers of JJ Donovan for over 15 years and they are absolutely the best. They are family owned and you cannot beat their service. Once I called them at 5am on a Sunday morning because my furnace would not start. They were at my house within 45 minutes and had my furnace going within 20 minutes. Fast and friendly service.

Best. Service. Ever. I always call when I’m extremely low on heating oil and they come almost immediately. They also have really good prices and don’t try to rip you off like some of the other places I have gotten oil from. They are extremely helpful and patient on the phone too.

Very helpful, and not the least annoyed at the fact that I have to be on will call because my roommates aren’t so great at paying me for the oil. The oil has run out twice, and the first time the owner(i think) came over at like 9pm without charge to get it started again. This morning, i called at 730 because I was only going to be around for a few hours, and they had someone to my place an hour or so later. He apologized if we’d been on automatic and it ran down(which wasn’t the case), and showed me exactly how to do some of the stuff myself, which being a DIY-er, i really appreciate. Nothing but great experiences with them so far.

Loved The JJD when I first became a customer. When the honeymoon ended, however, and our building changed suppliers, JJD held my credit balance for months. After repeated calls that went nowhere I finally went to their office, and the guy cut me a check and told me not to cash the two he said they already sent. I chose to brush off the fact that this comment implies I would take money that didn’t belong to me. Odd, though, how, without fail, I received bills from them in the mail 2 days after a delivery, but somehow their check to me got lost in the post. Sleaze.
