My hubby always goes here. They do a fantastic job on his hair with a nice trim or wax of the eyebrows, ears and nose.

This barber shop is still open and under new management and it’s absolutely wonderful very nice place to work and great clients! !

Robertson’s shop may be labeled as close, but Nicole the new owner is at the same location. She is fantastic. She was very friendly and polite. She has been cutting hair for 18 years and it definitely shows. I was very happy with my haircut. Can’t wait to go back.

Had my hair cut here last week and i have to say it was the best experience i have had in a very long time. i did not have to wait was seated right away, very friendly staff, The barber took his time and gave me and awesome cut just like i asked for. I will recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great cut.

I had a really good experience bringing my 13-​year-​old son here last summer. The owner really listened to him and did a nice job. We went back today (Saturday), and there was another barber on call. He was a little odd, didn’t seem very professional. There were customers ahead of us, but he didn’t want to make an appointment for us to come back. He said he couldn’t keep all that in his head. Pro tip: use a notepad. We left, and didn’t come back. Been looking for a good place for a haircut since moving out to Philly. Shops in the city are way overpriced that I’ve seen ($ 35+) and other cheaper venues have butchered my hair.
Mark was friendly, worked quickly, cut my hair well, and we shared some good conversation about tv shows (true detective and the wire for anyone wondering). I’m definitely going back.
Men’s haircut was $ 16, so with tip I paid $ 20. Hope this was helpful.

Previous to my first experience at Robertson’s this weekend I would have ranked going to get my hair cut towards the bottom of my list of life’s most enjoyable activities somewhere between a.) mattress shopping and b.) cleaning the litter box. A lot of my aversion has to do with the fact that I’ve never really known, or bothered to care to know, the best fashion for me to wear my hair. I’ve always just said some take on, «make it shorter» — experimenting with the terminology a little in hopes of stumbling across a magically different outcome and by chance walk out feeling good about myself. I had always hoped I’d walk in somewhere for a haircut and the stylist/​barber would say, «You know what would work well for you…» Well, it took 38 years, but I walked in to Robertson’s and when I sat down in the chair he just about said that. Mark the Barber has changed my life. I’m not exaggerating. The experience was transformative for me. Mark is clearly passionate about his craft and executes with professional expertise. He showed decisiveness in his plan of action and I was impressed with his classic technique and attention to detail. This is another great reason to love Media and I can’t believe I’m looking forward to getting my next hair cut. By the way, later that day I brought my two-​year old son in and Mark did a fantastic job, showing as much creativity and attention to my son as he did to me. I look forward to my future visits to Robertson’s with my son, an experience I never imagined I’d relish sharing.

First time today at this barber. Mark is very friendly and efficient. Great haircut and atmosphere at a fair price. I’d be happy to recommend.

From the placard at the corner of State and Olive showing before and after shots (3 Stooges’ Larry versus George Clooney) to the traditional barber pole outside, you know this is a family-​owned business with heart and top-​notch service. My husband took our son here and not only did they give him a darn fine cut but they let our daughter participate in her brother’s style because she’s has a better sense of style than he does.
