I couldn’t be happier with my new garage as well as the professionalism and dedication to my project shown by Duane Cook and his team. Duane is an absolute pro. I should start by saying that I am an attorney and I am extremely picky (I happen to think its a good thing, but I have very high standards of quality and professionalism). I obtained several other quotes before I went with Duane. Duane answered every question I had thoroughly and candidly. He was very patient when I had questions about the contract. When I started the project I did not want to dedicate a lot of my own time running around getting permits or making calls or arranging things for this project. Duane did it all. He was very respectful of my time and I knew that I was in good hands. He exceeded my expectations. Duane was aware that I also wanted to keep my cost down and worked with me to fit within my budget while building an absolutely beautiful garage. I have a Spanish style ranch home, and I wanted something to fit with my house without breaking the bank. Duane was absolutely right on with his recommendations of a reverse gable and colors and the garage could not be more perfect. He also listened to my ideas for a French door and built a decorative overhang over the doors which could not be cuter (believe it or not a garage can be cute, I have one!). If I could give 6 stars I would, I am that pleased with my garage and the service provided by Duane.

WORST salesmen and customer service ever! Was told this process was going to be super fast (told us a couple days) BUT… they tore the old garage over 2 weeks ago we haven’t seen them since and every time we call we get the run around… oh and it just so happens their supervisors are never there to speak with either! I DONT recommend them if you need something done quickly!!! In fact, I DONT recommend them at all!!!

I love my garage!
I am a picky engineer and did way more research than I should have. I live in the Wheaton area and had a number of promising choices to make. After receiving a number of quotes over the last couple years, my wife and I finally decided to move forward with Chicagoland Garage Builders. We felt very comfortable from the start. This company has a great formula for success — fair price, attentive service, top notch craftsmanship — and most important — good people, top to bottom.
I work from home and enjoyed watching the crew from start to finish. They were all experts in their job and really seemed to take pride in doing things right!
The concrete work is showcase and with their unique eco-​green mix, is going to look good for a long time. The garage is beautiful and matches my home perfect. The carpenters were truly skilled craftsmen. My neighbors keep commenting on how hard the crew worked and are very impressed with the results.
Duane was a great partner on this project and helped keep things on track and straight forward.
No regrets. I wish I had done this sooner!

The garage burned down at one of the grandma’s properties, and she used Chicagoland Garage Builders to build a new one. Gary Owen was the contact person. He was so cooperative and did a terrific job. He really went over and above to take care of her. We are so happy with them — and we’d never use anyone else!

We used Chicagoland a few years ago and waited to write a review. So far so good. Our sales rep Bob Schuckles was great. Great people person and made us feel at ease in our decisions. Was very helpful with all of our questions and I still bother him with questions! He always had a great story for every situation and was very knowledgeable about the business. Recommended them to friends and relatives.

We wanted to build a garage that would work well with a house built in 1901 in Oak Park, IL. My sales rep Gary could not have been nicer. While discussing the garage I mentioned that we needed to put in new sidewalks and a front driveway. He told me they also do concrete work and gave me a great package price since they could do all of the concrete together for the garage and other areas.
They got the concrete work done in just 4 days including city inspections, and built the garage in 2 days once the concrete had set. Good communication, scheduling and site clean up was also good.
Paneled garage doors and siding that came close to what was on the house really ties it in nicely. They also kept exactly to the quoted price. Easily passed final inspections.

After searching for the perfect company for the project that was my garage I had almost given up hope. Then I came across Chicago garage builders. I can’t say enough good things about them. They exceeded my expectations. I searched several garage places and either the companies I came across before finding Chicago garage, didn’t want my business or didn’t meet my budget. Chicago garage builders is the best! They worked with me on my project, budget, and crazy schedule. I’d like to thank my salesman Gary and the entire staff at Chicago garage builders for their great customer service and professionalism. Thank you so much! You have a customer for life.

I’m still very happy with my new garage. No foundation or electrical problems here. Just a great place to hide from the wife!

Low pressure sell, but was still disappointed. Was told the garage would be finished before I went out of town, but it was not. I had to give the final check before site cleanup or final inspection. And I wish that wasnt their policy. Garage did not pass inspection, as they had failed to install roof ties and collar ties. They came and installed the collar ties but I had to take off another ½ day for the reinspection. The inspector said they should have installed more ties, but they took the cheap way out. Luckily he passed me anyway. The carpenters decided it was appropriate to wash their hands or paint brushes in my birdbath. Garage floor developed shrinkage cracks. Joints should have been placed better to minimize these. The electricians loosened a bolt, causing a fuse to blow several times after they left. I paid another electrician to fix it. He said they should have run another line, but again, they took the cheap way out. It was way too stressful for a stupid 2 car garage.
