Elite Event: Mosa Asian Bistro

Who doesn’t love a free event with great company, some wine, and food??? I already like the restaurant from a prior visit. We had a scavenger event to find out which elite had the most friends, reviews, etc on our individual placemats. That was a fun addition. The owner came out and talked to us which was cool. I made a new elite friend and caught up with others. The food was good but the sliders were the star. If I had a critique, I wish I could have tasted more food. All in all it was really fun with a friendly staff and friendly elites.

This was my first Unilocal elite event and it was a wonderful experience! Joelle and everyone else there made me feel welcome and it was easy to strike up conversations with others. I thought it was very well organized, starting off with a casual treasure hunt/​ice breaker activity while people were arriving and then from there continued to samples of 4 different dishes. Throughout the night Joelle went from table to table to talk to us. The owners of Mosa also came around and talked to us too. The sliders and noodles were hands down awesome. I can tell Joelle and Mosa put a lot of work into this and it was fantastic. 5 thumbs up!

I had a lot of fun with the ice breaker game and getting to try a restaurant I hadn’t tried before. The food was good, the conversations were awesome, and the ownership was awesome. I was pleased with this event and hope to see more like this moving forward. Great stuff Joelle!

As always, Joelle out did herself! I am always amazed at the creative events she comes up with. She continually pushes me out of my comfort zone. Even though I see familiar faces I always meet someone new! I will be so sad if I ever have to give up my elite status. I don’t want to go back to being a homebody. This is so much fun.
Now about the food. The Mongolian beef sliders were AMAZING! I also loved Ed’s favorite noodles. Perfect al dente, great flavor and the vegetables were crisp. I’m not a big noodle fan but these won me over. So much so I ordered some to go as well as the sliders. This will definitely be added to my list of regulars.

Good food and good companies equals great time. One food is notably super good is the sliders mosa introducing. I gotta say they are very tasty when dipped into siracha sauce.
The event itself is super good. Getting to know other Unilocalers is a super fun activity.

Joelle and the rest of the Unilocal team never cease to amaze me with the variety of events they plan for us! I liked the scavenger hunt and being able to visit with everyone again. I am somewhat picky and I actually really liked everything they served, but my favorite was the sliders. I could have eaten a bunch more of those! The variety of the foods served and portion size was right on point for me. My second favorite was the noodles. I also liked having the opportunity to meet and talk to the owner Michelle during the event. I will definitely be coming back for some more sliders and also visiting Ricki’s to try some of her other treats.

It was a, wonderful night and having one on one with the owner and operator of the business was a great experience the atmosphere was full of excitement and joy I truly enjoyed the it was simply my pleasure being there the food and drinks were amazing I will be returning.

It’s been awhile since I saw my fellow elites… it was very nice to see all the familiar smiling faces! The atmosphere made this elite event awesome! I would have to say this is one of my favorite events by Unilocal.The trivia game was a good way to get everybody socializing with one another. I spoke and sat with people that I have seen at other events, but never had any conversation with, so it was cool to do so. At my table, we shared ideas about places that we have gone to visit and/​or eaten at… I left with about ten places bookmarked. The food served was magnificent… from the Asian sliders, curry shrimp, dumpling soup, and noodles!!! It’s rare that I like everything when I’m sampling food, but I definitely did! The staff demonstrated A1 service. They were polite and attentive! It was nice how the dishes we sampled were explained to us, from the ingredients to the inspiration that helped create all of the wonderful items!

Joelle once again did an amazing job with the event. Joelle put a personal touch for each member with a personalized mat which was awesome! The food was wonderful. The owner Michelle was also amazing, greeting us when we came in and explaining each dish before it was served and then coming back to see how we enjoyed it. I am very honored to be part of such a wonderful group with the Unilocal Elite. Thank you Joelle for all the hard work and allowing me to be part of it.

This was my first time experiencing Mosa, and Michelle, the owner, made an obvious effort to welcome us Unilocalers into the fold! Of the four items offered, I think the big winner — for me, at least! — was the slider. I just wish it was bigger! The roll from Ricki’s bakery made it melt in my mouth, and a dallop of Sriracha gave it just the right amount of heat. The soup was also super-​tasty, especially since it was a chilly night. I also enjoyed the noodles and the rainbow curry.
The event was held in a smaller room off to the side of the main dining area. It made it a more cozy environment, which I liked. Thank you, Joelle and Michelle! :)

I had never been to this restaurant but have been wanting to go. Joelle provided the perfect excuse with this excellent elite event.
The night started off with an informational scavenger hunt where we learned more about our fellow elites and of course, not by accident, interacted with them to solve the puzzle.
As usual for a Joelle led event, complimentary alcohol was available.
The restaurant cleverly created a sample menu just for us.
I enjoyed talking to the owners as they mingled with us during dinner and asked about the food and gave us details about the ingredients and the preparation
This event was a win win as usual.
A win for Unilocal as a show of clout,
a win for Elites because we got to experience amazing food,
and a win for the owners of the restaurant because I know everyone will be back.

This is the first elite event I’ve been to where I am the «Duke» of the venue! I should have collected my taxes! (Sorry, we’ve been playing the game Coop too much at the Unilocal Community Game Nights! Come and join us!)
And before I get start on the rest of the stuff, OMG, Banh Mi Sliders! COME INTO MY BELLY!
Now on to the rest of the stuff… okay, let me talk a little bit more about the sliders. It’s a got a really awesome roll from Ricki’s Cookies, homemade mayonnaise, and hoisin sauce beef with pickled shredded radish and carrots. Okay, enough of that. Let me really talk about the rest of the stuff.
Did I mention that the sliders are frigging melt-​in-​your-​mouth delicious?!?

Another amazing Unilocal Elite Event organized by the hardest worker and most beautiful Unilocaler in Memphis, Joelle! The questionnaire was a great idea for getting us to mingle and learn about our fellow Unilocalers. The Unilocal swag that was given out is always fun and useful. I loved the mittens and my fingers are still stuck in the Chinese handcuffs :-(Thanks John and Deanna for their hard work as well. The owner was very engaging with all of the Unilocalers and this event made me have a different, more favorable opinion of Mosa.
The restaurant: I came here about a year ago and the service was great and the food was good, but I didn’t think it was anything extraordinary. I must say that with the current menu changes and the things to come that we got a preview of, this place has really improved in my book The food was amazing last night. The Jiao zhe bowl was absolutely delicious, but the Korean BBQ beef sliders were one of the best things I have ever tasted. On a fresh kosher bun from Ricki’s and topped with just a bit of slaw, this slider should be experienced by everyone in the city! I am not a huge fan of curry, but I did enjoy the shrimp rainbow panang curry. The service, notably Caleb, was extremely accommodating and patient – he enhanced the experience. I cannot wait to go back for dinner again.

I attended my first Elite Event last night at Mosa Asian Bistro. As always I love Unilocal events but Elite events WOW there are even better. I absolutely loved the event. Any chance to catch up with my follower Unilocalers turns into a fun and entertaining time. It was great chatting with everyone and finding out who had the most friends, most pictures or the most reviews. I have to work on increasing my stats now lol
Plus let me just say, as always Joelle is an amazing event planner and the owner Michelle was the sweetest hostess. Michelle greeted all of us and came to each table to explain each dish that was served. With regards to the food, simply amazing!!! Honestly I loved every single dish and at times I can be a picky eater. I will be back to enjoy the rest of their menu.
So proud to be an Elite!!!

Another stellar event hosted by the incomparable Joelle.
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from Mosa since they previously hosted an event in the past, but they put on a show! The food that we were able to try made me anxious to try the rest of the menu. We started with the dumpling soup which was a treat by itself. I spiced it up with a little additional spicy sauce which added a nice zing to the broth. Then we tried the Bahn-​mi inspired Asian Beef sliders which were the consensus for best item of the night among my table mates. The curry shrimp and the veggie noodles rounded out our meal, and I was happily surprised be how fantastic the food was. The owner was gracious and accommodating and took time to explain each dish’s complexities to us.
The «booze and schmooze» was an inventive and unique way to trick introverts like me to open up and talk to people. By the time i realized i was interacting with people, it was too late to yell at them like the curmudgeonly old man i pretend not to be. It was great to catch up with all my fellow Unilocalers and plan some Unilocaler outings to some places that demand out attention.
I can’t be a curmudgeon any more; just keep giving me food like this and I’ll stop yelling at kids to get off my lawn.

This was my husband and my first ever Elite only event and it was SO MUCH FUN! We got to try all kinds of dishes (which I’ll be putting in my review of the place itself) but to summarize: HUBBY LIKED IT! Ok, this isn’t a big deal unless you know my husband despises Asian food. He can’t stand the sweetness of it and just usually hates everything. But he ate every bite of everything we were given tonight. I didn’t have to eat up «what he didn’t like» because he got to eat it all himself! His fav was the Korean BBQ Sliders which go on the menu Monday. My favorite was either the noodles or the soup.
I am so glad we got to try so much because I never would’ve thought to try sliders or soup and those were the two favs between the two of us. I also really enjoyed the little scavenger hunt for who had what (I had the most pictures and the second most reviews– Andy, I’m coming for you!). I got to see a lot of familiar faces and just had a blast. LOVED it.
