Always pleased with the service and the food when I am able to eat at High Point. A great place to stop for lunch if you’re riding the Greenline from Shelby Farms towards Tillman. My favorite go to dish is the Buffalo Chicken Salad. Today we decided to try the pizza special – Meat with Mac n Cheese. Wonderful! Chicken, bacon, mac-n-cheese and croutons baked on a thin crust. Definitely a splurge but so worth it!

I came here as part of a UYE as Kyle had the brilliant idea for a Memphis Eastside Pizza Parade, whereby we went to 4 pizza places over the course of a Sunday afternoon, and this was Stop Nos 2 on the parade. So I really loved the shoppes — it reminded me so much of when I lived in Canberra where each suburb is ringed around with its local shops! They had a special going on for St. Paddy’s and so the 6 of us decided to get half a Dubliner and half Wild Mushroom and it was cut into x12 pieces, so everyone got to try a piece. I loved the zestyness of the Dubliner — the cheese included an Irish cheddar, which really added a zing. Compared to the Dubliner, frankly the Wild Mushroom wasn’t that great. I liked that it was fresh mushrooms, but I wish it was either more mushrooms or less cheese? That earthiness I associate with mushrooms was missing? Maybe adding some truffle oil to the mushrooms would elevate it? Apart from the Dubliner — they had a great light beer, if wheat beers are your thing — the Nitro White Ale was excellent and thanks to Unilocaler Daniel for sharing it around! My rank for the Pizza Parade = 2nd place Note: #53 of Unilocal 100 challenge for 2016

Today I enjoyed a large single slice of Pizza Valentino. It absolutely was the most delicious pizza I have eaten anywhere in the U.S. And Italy. The flavors were diverse and complimentary to each. The caramelized balsamic vinegar, and goat cheese really stood out. The appearance also enhanced the pizza.

First… they do not have beer on tap as someone said. Second, ordered the pizza special and asked for one of the toppings on one side only. Was told they don’t do that. Then $ 20 for a twelve inch pizza. I guess I’m not«cool» enough to appreciate this pretentious place. And the water wasn’t even good!

I’m loving the ‘gourmet’ pizzas… especially the wild mushroom. Love that they’re right down the street and offer a non chain option in the Summer Ave neck of the woods.

I live near in the High Point area and have eaten here many times and thought the pizza was«pretty good.» Tonight we had the BBQ chicken, meatball app and cheese bread(figured we’d have plenty for lunch tomorrow). The meatball was outstanding with a perfect slightly acidic sauce. Cheese bread was good for cheese bread — simple stuff. The BBQ chicken pizza had little BBQ sauce and the chicken was bland. The crust was thin, which we like, but was very limp — YUCK.

Thank you so much for lunch today. Every thing was so perfect this time. I’m upgrading you to five stars. It was almost perfect before, but this is really one of the best pizzas. And you sell by the slice which is cool. And the cheese bread is also amazing!!!

This place is a hidden treasure! Fantastic Pizza, beer, salads & sandwiches all tucked away in a back in time neighborhood strip plaza. My favorite is the buffalo chicken salad with home made blue cheese dressing! I’m not sure who’s home they make it in but its great! Everything is made fresh with quality ingredients! For real, this is my favorite lunch box! Cheers, Rip!

Had a couple of their pizzas years ago and just remember them being ok. Obviously it didn’t make me rush back. Tried the Italian sub today and would say that it was ok but nothing great. Won’t make me rush in for another. The guy working did recommend the Cuban and maybe I should have listened to him. The«Italian» was really a mushroom pizza sub. Meat, red pizza sauce and mushrooms lightly baked in the oven. I’d stop back in but it just doesn’t seem like anything special.

Hubby gets the bbq chicken pizza and always craves it and I get the cheesy garlic bread or whatever it’s called. Yummy! outside seating but not a lot of seating in general. Takes a while because the are usually busy and pizza is fresh

I absolutely love this place. My husband and I just moved to the High Point Terrace area in the last two week and we’ve been here 3 times already. Pizza are delish and the cheesy bread to die for! Love the outside seating with fans.

Good pizza and quick service. Staff is very friendly but I think the quality suffered because they were busy. I’d try it again but it wasn’t special.

Its a little on the small side with only about 5 tables inside, but man is it good :). I also love the fact that it is so close to my house. They have a little patio outside which is perfect for this beautiful weather we’ve been having. I stuck with the smallest option, the 10 inch. I had pizza for breakfast the next day. which I don’t hate. The buffalo chicken supreme. YESYESYES.

Loved it! We have loved getting to try all the new«out East» places since moving out there. A lot of nights I don’t feel like cooking, so this will definitely be on the weekly list! Husband had the four meat pizza and I stuck with cheese. I know. Boring, right?! I love a good cheese pizza, though. I also had the Highpoint Pizza’s house salad with ranch. So good! Unfortunately they don’t deliver, but a very quick pick up!

I can’t begin to say enough good things about High Point Pizza. If you stop reading here, take away this one thing: GOTHERE. I’m a self-confessed pizza addict. I could eat it 5 times a week.(Ok, I HAVE done that.) It can be any kind of cuisine or meal you want: Italian, Mexican, breakfast, dessert. You get it. I love the stuff. I’m sorry to say to other Memphis pizza places, but I’ve found my holy grail in High Point. They’re friendly and casual, yet take their pies seriously. They obviously have a chef that comes up with their rotating specialties, as they’re always well-concocted and with top-notch ingredients. They often have a fancy-shmancy sauce topping them or a crazy base sauce. No bland or overly sweet tomato sauces here. The crust is thin but more than able to hold the toppings without folding. The prices are a little on the high side but I have no problem paying more for a high quality product. Don’t miss their appetizer specials either; I’ve had several that were mind-blowing. The charming location seals the deal. I just love coming around that bend in the neighborhood and seeing the cute little shopping center unexpectedly. Plus it’s about 3 minutes from my house, so it’s perfect for a Friday night pick-up…which I do, quite frequently. I can’t comment on their pasta, soup, or salad, but I imagine they’re pretty good. But pizza. C’mon. My only real complaint is that I get misty eyed thinking of all the specialties that have passed. Their ghosts haunt my belly. RIP Italian Christmas pizza, New Jersey Pizza Picante, you left us too soon. But each new special is an expedition in pizza creativity and I’m one hungry explorer.

I finally made it to High Point Pizza today with 3 associates for lunch. 2 had the meatball subs, 1 had cannelloni, and I had the lasagna. Atmosphere — I really like it, I could enjoy coming here very often. Service — great, not crowded, service was a breeze. Food — OK. The salad was great, and the blue cheese dressing very tasty indeed. The sauce used in the lasagna, however, had a twang. One of my associates tasted it and his comment was right on, almost like they forgot to put sugar in the batch they made. Texture was perfect, I liked the meat in the lasagna, but the sauce was different. Looking forward to coming back(many times I hope) to try other items. Fellow diners said the meatball subs were very tasty.

The food here is great. I opted for a 10″ pepperoni and mushroom pizza and a side of meatballs. The pizza was delicious and the crust, oh MY, the crust was delicious. The meatballs stole the show though. Three large meat-UH-balls(sorry I had to) covered in their homemade meat sauce. I was only able to muster half of my pizza with the side. Which brings me to why I only give them 4 stars. They don’t offer slices as an option all the time. Their pizza is pricey and for one person, I didn’t want the whole pie, even a 10″. If they change that, I’d be happy to amend my review because the food is worth 5 stars. Bravo High Point Pizza!

This place is a step back in time. The High Point shops are all cute-as-a-button, and this pizza parlor is no different. I feel like I’m in the 1950’s every time I go. The pizza is great and I love sitting at the tables inside and out — I’ll always run into someone I know(granted, I live in the area). There are always parents with kids at the tables and the grocery store next door makes for great people watching. It is just a comfortable, family-friendly, at-home place. The ambience is completely charming!
