I wasn’t a fan of their potato soup but their sandwiches are delicious. And I like this location… plus Holiday Ham is *always* a safe bet. You don’t really come here for the ambience, but it is clean, the staff is super helpful and most importantly quick. Oh, and their pimento cheese. You have to try their pimento cheese.

We’ve been here twice now and have had good experiences both times. The staff is super nice and remembered us. My favorite is the hot ham and cheese. My husband got the Sriracha chicken avocado and really liked it as well. Get the homemade seasoned chips, they are the best: really crunchy and flavorful! Will come back again!

Great Cobb salad, don’t forget the ice tea and cookie. Always served with southern hospitality.

Pimento cheese. Haven’t tried it? Don’t think you like it? Think again. If you like cheese, this stuff will change your life. We buy it by the pound(makes great gifts and perfect for parties on Ritz crackers with or without a pickle on top). There is a reason it made the top 100 things to eat in Memphis before you die(jalapeño version). I also eat the turkey panini on focaccia a few times a month. Outstanding deli fare. You can customize pretty much anything. Desserts and sides are well-thought out and it pays off. Holiday Ham is a family run business with a serious commitment to community. In close to a hundred visits, I have never had a bad experience. That alone earns 5 stars in my book.

Even though this is never my go to place I still really like it. I don’t think they have the really big loaded potatoes anymore but they were my favorite thing to get. I also love the fact that they have a drive thru but it always just seemed pricey for deli food.

The food is incredible and never misses a beat! My personal taste nirvana includes those delicious and divine white chocolate raspberry scones(I know right?!?) slightly warmed to perfection to appease each and every taste bud I possess. I’m seriously having a moment just typing the words. Car starting up now… Like everything I’ve ever tried has been delish. And to top it off, the staff is simply fantastic! Service is always paramount and the staff knows how to care of us repeat greeters. :) I have never encountered an uncomfortable moment, the location is always clean, and they have some nice jams to keep me company as I partake in ‘nomomon’ on purpose. Give it a go and when you do, ask for Jennifer or Tarleisha and thank me later!

Customize your sandwich! I always start with the club savory croissant… I usually go to the Holiday on Erin Dr. But since I have been working in Midtown lately, I was craving their croissant. I start with the CSC. First I switch the regular out for spiral ham, remove the tomatoes, add sprouts and a scoop of pimento cheese. Yezzir… This is a good sandwich. The cashier took my order and processed it properly. The sandwich was on point and their sweet tea was that Goldilocks sweetness. I really don’t understand their rewards points system. Whenever I visit I forget and can’t find the discount text I most recently received, so it ends up being wasted… it would be nice if they fixed that.

Top notch service, and high quality food at fair prices. Drive-thru is faster than the next door McDonald’s. No excuse not to stop here. Breakfast: The Englishman is what every breakfast sandwich should be. All choices of meats are exceptional. I often opt for the non-pork special request of shaved turkey breast, which they gladly furnish at no extra charge. The Breakfast Heap is a pile of breakfast goodness, and very often enough to split. Lunch: Luke’s Kickin Chicken is a solid sandwich. Seasoned house chips are a must.

Try the chicken salad sandwich on a croissant! There’s a drive-through, which is convenient. And a rewards-points system. The breakfast sandwich on toast was good, too, and was freshly prepared. Avoid the pasta salad if you don’t like thick, gelatinous dressing.

I typically hate chains, and try never to eat at them. HHD really LOOKS like a chain, but it’s a local chain with locations all throughout the Memphis area, so I’m going to permit myself this vice. Friends. I’m telling you this because I love you. You know how usually those«salads» that delis make are white with mayo and blandness and soggy bread-making disaster? Pimento cheese is *especially* vulnerable to this fate. THISPIMENTOCHEESEISTHEBOMB!!! Not soggy, sticks together just enough but not so much that you know there’s mayo involved, and sits up nice and high on the bread. It’s as good as my Mama used to make, except maybe even just a teensy-weensy bit spicy, which sets my heart ablaze. So. Freaking. Delicious. What’s more, this place has drive through and caters? Anyone anywhere who wants to make people happy at a meeting has to order from here. As a thank-you for turning you on to this amazing-ness, you can purchase me five gallons of pimento cheese. I’ll eat it all, and I won’t be ashamed.

Great lunch place! Reasonably price, quick service and clean. I stick with the pimento cheese, the chicken salad or a cascade salad when I dine. They are all too good to pass up.

Great lunch place. You have to try the Chicken Panini. Then get the lobster bisque, eat as a dip with the pita chops. Amazing!

I’ve since returned so I’d thought I’d update my opinions. The food and service was/is very good. The mis-communication regarding fresh salad vs. fruit salad shouldn’t stand in the way of eating there. Although I still miss the delis in California — Saul’s in Berkeley, Nate & Al’s(original) in L.A. I wouldn’t turn up my nose if Holiday was a suggested destination. I would, however, correct the designation of a deli under my breath. No challah, garlic pickles or lox? No deli. This is a sandwich shop. And that’s just fine…

We got our ham here last year for Christmas, and it was delicious. I’ve been back since then and had some other menu items. Holiday has some standard deli style options– ham, chicken, tuna, potato and pasta salads, cold cut sandwiches and cakes and puddings for dessert. What is surprising is their large breakfast menu. I need to get over here early enough to try it out. Their ham salad is my favorite though sometimes it can be a bit heavy on the green onions. There’s nothing extremely unique or remarkable about their menu items, but everything I’ve had has been good and they haven’t disappointed yet. It’s more of a Panera Bread type ordering process– you order at the counter and pick a seat and they’ll bring it out to you.

So far I’ve eaten: Strawberry Mandarin Salad Lobster Bisque Soup Chicken & Rice Soup I recommend you try all. Place is bigger and way more modern on the inside than what is revealed on the outside.
