INCREDIBLE service! I came here to buy alcohol for my wedding reception and have never had so much fun in a liquor store! They kept us laughing the whole time. Marina and Jason were so helpful and so willing to work with my budget. They had excellent recommendations and were extremely accommodating. I placed the order with them early in the week and they had it all ready to go Saturday morning for pick-up. The wine the recommended was a hit at the wedding and they were able to give me a deal on the wine from the winery where I got engaged. I recommend anyone to come here for any reason. They are good people with good service! Can’t beat that!

I like that this store is HUGE and they carry pretty much everything! It’s even better that you can get 20% off by checking in on Unilocal!Definitely a great location and the staff is pretty friendly too!

Good selection of everything right next to Little Italy Pizza. Finish the phrase, Pizza n ______. Complete your meal, order a nice pizza and while you wait browse the craft beer selection here, they have some real high gravity winners from Brooklyn, Dogfish Head, Victory, Green Flash, and the local heroes. Good selection of Scotch as well and a fun helpful staff to boot. Get in here.

This spot was recommended by the bed and breakfast owners who lived a few blocks away. Great selection of wine(especially chilled wine) and liquor. I was overwhelmed with options, but loved the prices. Something for every budget here! The service was quite friendly. I’d recommend to anyone who is looking for a great bottle of wine.

Yeah… they charge like $ 5 more than they do at Buster’s for Tito’s Vodka($ 27 at Buster’s and $ 32 here), and that just ain’t cool in my book. Plus, they weren’t that friendly when I walked in the door… as in, didn’t acknowledge me — at all — until I was at the cash register staring them in the face. And even then I didn’t get a smile. I wish I could say more, but I just wasn’t impressed. There store is pretty small but they have all the basics. And it is on Union so it is easy to pop in and out. I guess that is what you’re paying for… convenience? Certainly wasn’t service.

I’m a Buster’s girl, so I don’t normally shop at Kimbrough(even though it’s much closer to my house — now what does that say about Buster’s?), but in the event of an emergency, this is a decent option. It’s not a large store, and it has a healthy dose of «sketchy liquor store» ambiance, but I’ve never felt particularly uncomfortable or anything. They’re not nearly as friendly as Buster’s(I don’t think I’ve ever actually spoken to someone here), but if you know what you want, you can usually find it pretty quickly(decent selection, but again, not Buster’s), pay up, and get out. As with all Union frontage stores, what passes for a parking lot is small, cramped, and scary as heck to back out of – I’ve started going around the back way to avoid making a left off of Union. But for a quick«Oh no, we’re out of [insert liquor here],» Kimbrough is just fine.

I live very close to Kimbrough Liquors and 99% of the time I go to Busters. Today I went in and three guys were around the registers in the front door… Not one of them said hello, welcome to the store or kiss my foot… I was in retail and I am always amazed at the demeanor of the staff… In the past, they have had some friendly employees but not lately… I’ve heard that from any number of Central Gardens neighbors… That being said, they will always help you find something… I don’t see how they stay in business… If I owned or managed the store, I would clean house… Sorry, but you have to be a friendly person when you are behind the counter and not in front of it spending money.

I remember this place from back in the day when my grandpa used to go here! So the other day I finally stopped in for some wine for my chicken piccata and not only did I find some good wine I also found some IPAs!!! AND not just any IPAs, this was DOUBLE IPAs. I love a liquor store that sells everything! So i got one case($ 14) yea i kow pricey huh. But i had to get em. The guy was pretty friendly but I could tell he was a silent kinda guy so it didnt bother me. I’l be back soon but I’m pretty stocked right now thanks to all my marvelous 750ml gifts i got :) The only reason this palce didnt get five stars is bc of the parking. I’ll only go here when im on that side of the road lol. Memphis people cant drive lol

I have a friend that once lived in Kimbrough Towers, and I always thought how convenient it must be to live right above a liquor store. Need a quick gift? Go downstairs. Need a bottle of wine for a dinner party? Saunter downstairs. Had a bad day? You got it. Take the elevator downstairs. There is a good selection here, and knowledgeable staffers that will help you find a great bottle of vino to serve with dinner or give as a gift. Prices are good too. My favorite thing about Kimbrough Towers Fine Wine & Spirits? Their marquee outside that they change frequently with valuable information or cute, humorous sayings and one-liners.

The location on Union Avenue, in the heart of Midtown, makes this a very convenient stop for picking up a bottle of wine or your poison of choice. The employees here are great — friendly and always ready to help you find what you need. I am a bit of a wine snob, and whereas the selection here isn’t that of Buster’s or Joe’s, it’s still good. The prices are competitive and you can usually get in and out really quickly.

Across from Danver’s on Union. Good selection of wines & spirits. Friendly and attentive staff, they usually have a selection of wines from Wine Spectator’s top picks. Be sure to check out their ‘church sign’.
