If I could of given 3 ½ stars I would have. I decided to come here because I needed both my ao dai(traditional Vietnamese dress) and bridesmaids dress taken in and hemmed. I felt more comfortable for a Vietnamese person to take it in the ao dai for me. I was happy with my ao dai, however she hemmed my bridesmaids dress too short. Now I have to find shorter heels to wear.(good thing the bride is not having us wearing the exact same heels, we can wear whatever heels we want as long as it’s the same color.) The hem itself was fine, just shorter than I asked for. The dress hovers the ground just touching it. It doesn’t look bad but it will look better with more overhang on the ground. Price wise, I thought taking in both items was decently priced but to hem was ridiculously expensive. $ 25 to hem the bridesmaid dress. Given the dress was a foot too long for me, it’s still expensive. I decided to just get it both done there because of time crunch. I would recommend this place you need anything taken in but not to hem.

I really wanted to like them bc they are in the area close to where I live and it would be convenient. However, for a simple hemming job I felt like I was swindled. The hemming was adequate. But they charged me $ 11 which is absolutely ridiculous(I usually pay $ 7.50). I was surprised by the price and when I tried to ask about it they had no idea what I was saying. They were not friendly at all, and it was an overall disappointing experience. I will not be going there again.

I’ve been taking my clothes to be altered here for years now. They definitely do the best job in the Memphis area for low cost! They work on anything from dress pants to wedding gowns to beddings. I’ve never had a bad experience here with my fixings. Great service and friendly staff. Highly recommended!

I usually use a tailor out in Germantown, so I was happy to be referred to this place by a lady I met at a consignment shop recently. Like most tailors, it’s kinda sketchy-looking, and they speak just enough English to run the place — she wrote prices down on a piece of paper for me, and pulled out a calendar to show me when my stuff would be ready. My stitched-up necklines came out fine, as did a strap adjustment, but she seems to have some issues with zippers. The zipper on a dress that I asked her to flatten still isn’t great, and the new zipper she put on my warm-up jacket(a zipper that I had to get myself… apparently she doesn’t stock those) is kinda eh. It’s better than tossing a $ 30 jacket because of a busted zipper, but it’s not super pretty. I also had to trim some loose threads when I got my items back, which seemed a bit sloppy. In short — they are cheap, but I wouldn’t take anything too complicated here.
