This place currently ranks in my book as the top burger in town. Bring cash, go on a nice day and take your burger over to the park at harbor town for a nice lunch.

Seriously THE biggest burgers I’ve ever seen. The Mr. Good Burger comes out the size of Kim Kardashian’s ass. Super nice folks too. A warning to newbies… ASKABOUTEACHBURGER. This being my first visit, I ordered– and they completely made– something I wouldn’t have eaten, because there aren’t descriptions on the board. They were SO nice about it and asked me exactly what I wanted and made me a burger just the way I asked. Prices are ridiculously reasonable for the amount of food. I also got a piece of pineapple coconut cake, which was as big as the burgers and just as delicious. Walking distance from the main MATA terminal, and the number 8 bus runs right by there. Divey and grease coated, as any good burger joint should be. Burgers are cooked to order fresh, and there’s usually at least a few folks there, so expect to wait a little bit.

When famished for a burger, this is the place. Enormous. Take out only. Eat in park. Delicious. A dive, and expect to wait 15 mins. Made to order. Enjoy!

What more can could be said about this place. Literally the BEST burger in the entire city. I love the seasoned fries they are so good. The best part about the food is that it’s as fresh as it gets. Everything is cooked when ordered and you can’t beat that with a stick. I highly recommend this place, but please note it’s not a family friendly environment.

This qualifies as a dive. Burgers are HUGE! MESSY! and DELICIOUS! People were friendly. No place to eat so we ate at the Bass Pro Shops Pyramid store parking lot. Suggest only the biggest appetites order the«Uptown» burger as it comes with two quarter pound(minimum) patties, three slices of cheese, grilled onions and peppers, jalapeño peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup all one one grilled bun. Greasy, juicy, messy, cheesy, and just about perfect. Fries were seasoned with a spicy kick too. Get a soda or some Tums because you are going to need to burp. I wanted to eat the whole thing, but fell short by about a third of one patty and bun. Don’t tell the doctor I sent you.

This is hands down the best burger in Memphis! If you are looking for a HUGE burger then look no farther than Roxie’s. Their burgers are juicy, savory, and succulent and more than enough food for one person. I ordered the Mr. Good Burger(2 patties, 4 strips of bacon, and some super melted cheese) and it was DELICIOUS! Great prices as well. This place is truly a gem!

That was the biggest burger I’ve ever eaten. Never before have I questioned my ability to finish a burger. Also, never in my life have I felt my arteries clogging up as I ate. So much goodness. I got the Good Burger and my wife got the Roxie. We were both impressed. Fries were also excellent. Glad we decided to try his place out!

I think I found my favorite burger in Memphis. I came in and looked at the menu to see lots of delicious options. My eyes were wider than my stomach and made a similar mistake to Justin S; I got the double Roxie special with fries. Oh, my, lord this was a GINORMOUS burger! It was juicy, flavorful, greasy, loaded with awesome cheese(they put multiple types on one burger) and could not finish it it was so filing. I cannot wait til I go back and will be singing their praises to anyone who has not yet tried this amazingness!

Ok, on Friday me and my coworker ordered food like we did the week before we get there the door was locked people in there so we knocked and she said we’re closed and turned her back so we only have thirty minutes for lunch now we have to wait or get something we don’t want good food but poor service.

Just go here already! Went to grab a Roxie with the works today and after multiple visits, I just want to relay that this is the best burger in town. Forget the dumb burger bracket occupied with some places that the last thing I would order there is a burger. Just needed to get that off my chest. Don’t be in a hurry when you visit Roxie’s, but the burger is definitely worth more than the wait.

Wow. This place is great. Everyone here has talked the burgers up big, and they are correct. The burgers here are fantastic. I recommend the uptown burger if you like bell peppers and onions, and the good burger if you like bacon, these both come with two patties and are large burgers. If you want a more traditional burger, get a roxie burger. After you order you get to witness the creation of the meal you won’t finish. Order some fries to go with that burger, and don’t think about the calories, it’ll be better that way. When one has no concern for creating a healthy meal, one can create an extremely satisfying meal full of flavor, and that’s what happens here. Also, for those interested, this place makes a great breakfast. The big breakfast has 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon or sausage, 2 pieces of toast… I guess the message here is the portions are generous and the flavor is phenomenal for a price that can’t be beat. Just to provide some info, they cook the food in the back and you pay at the counter. You can order from the counter or in the back if someone is available to take your order, depending on the crowd. It will probably be a 10 – 20 minute wait, and there’s no seating, no waiting area, just a small store, so just stay patient. Enjoy!

Got the triple uptown burger thinking they probably cook small here. BIGMISTAKE. This thing was huge and lasted me 2 days worth of eating but my oh my, this was one of the best burgers I have ever ate. Don’t let the looks of the place scare you off. Everyone was super nice and friendly. Great food!

My favorite corner store!!! This place shockingly has a whole burger grill inside! Lots of Unilocalers argue it’s one of the best greasy bags you can find! Its located in Uptown Memphis which was formerly Greenlaw. So the hood appeal is there to stay! You can get your penny candy, hot sous meat, crackers and a nice juicy burger all in one place! Gotta love Memphis! This burger though. This burger is not healthy, this burger is good for your taste buds and bad for your heart. This is the burger you eat on CHEATDAY!!! I love it. And I love how this place brings me back to my childhood days of candy ladys and my friends giving me they mamas fat ass foodstamp dollars when I didn’t have enough coins for the hot cheetos lol…

Totally hit the spot on a day I needed comfort food! Had the Roxy cheeseburger with grilled onions. The meat was well seasoned and the patty was proportional to the bun. I will be back to sample the pork chops and veges next.

Been here several times for the Roxie burger combo with beef. This time we opted for a Turkey burger. The burger was really good and very flavorful but it was super small. I am not sure if they were running out of ground turkey but the amount of meat on our burger buns was minimal.

I love burgers and this is not the fancy kind from Fleming’s or Mesquite Chop house. I personally prefer burgers I don’t have to dip in extra ketchup b/c they’re so dry(Shade, no shade) I got the Roxie with bacon. It’s an authentic home-style burger. They remind me of Dixie Queen burgers but bigger. Service is fast and friendly. A guy even suggested I drink plenty of water and watch my calories for the rest of the day! P. S. Im a health nut even on my cheat days… check out the coolers, I found Mr,. Pure Grape, grapefruit and Pineapple 100% juices for $ 1.50(some are only 10−20% so check the labels)…You cant find a deal that good at Wholefoods. Fresh Market or Walmart.

There are many reasons why I occasionally delay publishing a review. Usually the review will remain in draft until I find just the right words to express my opinion or describe the experience. That is not the case here. I first ate at Roxie’s over two years ago and then… nothing. Why? Because, I just didn’t feel that I could write anything that would accurately express how satisfied this place makes me feel. I just can’t do it! So here it is, my honest, yet simple review: Fresh-made burgers + Sketchy location + No seating = Food adventure Which results in… I’m gonna a need a fork + And more napkins + Holy crap that’s a good burger = One very happy food adventurer

Here is the worst burger in town! By worst I mean it can’t possibly be any good for my body… Why must it taste so good?!? It doesn’t even look like the ingredients are fresh or good quality either. But who cares if the favor combination to the Good Burger rocks! Easy 4STARS
