Like the other reviewer, parking is a problem. Great big veterans hospital and little parking lot. You just about have to be dropped off at front entrance, then ride around waiting for someone to come out and follow them to their car. Then, cut on your signal light waiting for them to back up. If you are lucky, you will get a parking place. Today, I had to wait about 30 minutes to find a parking place. They are doing what looks to be some renovations at the front entrance to the hospital. The check in station needs attendants/workers that care more and are a lot friendlier. It just seems like every time I come here, the people working here(other than doctors and nurses) just don’t care. Now the doctors and nurses are great and are professional and give you their undivided attention. But everybody besides them needs to be replaced by educated knowledgeable caring people. The Doctors even shake your hand when you meet them and once again before leaving. The nurses try their best and do a great job. The phone service to this VA needs upgrading too. They turned down my Dad twice on emergency operation on gall bladder and then again about 6 months ago on gall stoned leading to the bladder. He was in the Army serving our country and I just expect better patient care and service than this. It is the simple truth: our Veterans Administration needs revamped. I mean I’m just being honest. Another thing, getting medication is real slow. First of all, they won’t answer the phone or if they do, they transfer you to someone who hangs up on you. I have called several times over the years and this has happened to me. Then, it takes at least a couple weeks to get your medicine. Please treat out Veterans with the utmost care possible. They are the ones who give us our freedom that we have in today’s society.

This review is for parking only. The staff is great and I have no problems with the employees. Parking is a «HUGE» problem. My appointment at the new women’s clinic building was at 10:45am. I drove around for 30 minutes in 3 parking areas trying to find a parking spot along with numerous other people. There is just not enough parking here! I finally just drove up to the women’s building and ran inside to let them know that I was here but trying to find parking. I ended up parking in front of the women’s building per the receptionist who said that she will talk with any security that comes by. Luckily when I left my truck was fine. The staff here are wonderful but parking is terrible. They really need a parking garage or adjacent parking.
