Arizona Driveshaft and Differential

Thank you for your help with the damaged front driveshaft from my 1996 Toyota Land Cruiser. After a close encounter with a Nissan Altima, my front driveshaft was bent. I dropped the part at Arizona Driveshaft; they inspected it and gave me a fair price for parts and labor to replace and upgrade it. Really happy with their service. Great location, easy to find and get to. Convenient parking.

I was heart broken when I took my wife’s Jeep Grand Cherokee to our regular mechanic for a minor repair, check up and oil change and was told that at 100,000 miles she needed a new rear differential and it would be between $ 2500-​$ 3000 dollars to replace with a remanufactured unit and would be down for 3 – 5 days. Jeep jeep as we affectionately refer to her is like my wife’s baby, but that repair would have been so costly as to make it senseless to keep. I had thought about changing the gearing in my mustang at one time and remembered coming across AZ Driveshaft & Differential and just how great the reviews were so I gave them a call. They were able to get us in within a couple of days. When I booked the appointment they said they could pop the case open for around $ 150 for an inspection and would have closed it back up if we decided not to do the work. The verdict… $ 763 after the discount for checking in on Unilocal I noticed posted on the counter! So yes for potentially ¼ of the cost. It has been a few months and Jeep jeep is still going strong! After a few frustrating trips to an otherwise good shop that I’ve used many times in the past I finally gave up with them and went to Arizona driveshaft and differential to have my drive line balanced and hopefully get rid of the high-​speed vibration.
As soon as they took off the drive shaft they found the middle u-​joint was installed incorrectly and checked the balance {at my request} and found it to be fine and a re-​balance was not needed.
I think this is important to note because they could have simply did a re-​balance or just charged me for it and I would have paid for it. It’s really nice to have found a good honest shop!

Great Shop! I tried to fix my driveshaft with my buddy over the weekend and we quickly realized we needed a profesional. I brought in my drive shaft on Monday morning and picked it up on Tuesday afternoon. I installed it and now my truck runs great with no clunking or vibration.

It’s hard to find a good old honest shop that specializes and wants to do the right thing. My vehicle has 110k miles and I thought my u-​joints were worn. They could have gone with my comments and replaced them all and I wouldn’t have blinked an eye. Instead they did a thorough inspection and told my they were fine but found another part causing the vibration. They were exactly right. There is still such a thing as good customer service in the small business sector.

i had a custom one piece drive shaft mad for a project car that another driveshaft shop in Phoenix couldn’t seem to get right. once it was finished it was amazing and reasonably priced for the work. not much later after having the custom one piece made i had to take it back to have it remade for a different transmission. they where very helpful with rebuilding it again and even gave me a discount for repeat customer… i don’t know if that was because i was just there 3 months before but who cares. they did an awesome job!

This shop is the worst experience I have ever had in the automotive industry. The shop recommended additional parts in my differential rebuild, which I ended up paying over $ 2000. The differential didn’t have any leaks coming in, but it now leaks severely in the pinion seal and both axle shafts. Went back for warranty work 4 times, and nothing improved. They told me that the parts they recommended to me will not work, and said they had to put OE parts back in without refunding me the parts they recommended to me. Took this place to court and got away from this place as fast as I could. Got a qote for the same job from ARIZONA DIFFERENTIAL for less than HALF of what this place charged. Do yourself a favor, go to Arizona Differential instead– better work, better warranty, better service, better prices. My differential is worse than when I came in to this place and It’s costed me hundreds.

No more vibrations in my Jeep at slow speeds or on the Freeway. Increased top speed and accelerates so smooth now!
Any lifted vehicle most likely needs to stop here! Reasonable prices for custom jobs.

I brought in my Ford 9″ center section (I pulled it out of the car) for a pinion bearing replacement. They called me up the next day stating that everything is bad and they would also have to change the ring and pinion. This unit was not making any noise at all, just the pinion bearing had play. When I asked them how much it would be, they quoted me an outragous price of well over $ 1000.00. This is for an open 28 spline center section, not a Detroit Locker or Traction Lock unit. When I asked them how much I owe them for the bad news, they want $ 89.00 for a 15 minute tear down. This is the last time I ever do business with this company. I could get a new Traction Lock from Currie without a core for the same price they want to rebuild my «OPEN» unit.
