Big Zephyr Music presents a live band with 5 – 10 musicians, playing hit dance music of great variety. Rock, country, classic rock, southern rock, blues, R&B, disco, old and new… every show is customized to each client. Our philosophy is simple: «Live music of the highest quality by performers with contagious, positive energy. With decades of experience, we play the right music, at the right time, and at the right volume for each occasion.»

History

Established in 2005.

The Big Zephyr brings an exciting blend of old and new rock and country to the stage – hit music your guests will recognize and dance to. Their polished musicianship and vocal harmonies will have your crowd singing along and dancing. Perhaps their biggest distinction on stage is not just their music, but also the passion with which it is played.

Our list of hit music not only includes male standards by artists like The Beatles, The Doobie Brothers, Cheap Trick, Roy Orbison, Van Morrison, Eric Clapton, U2, and Maroon 5, but also great female songs by Linda Ronstadt, Nora Jones, Pink, Bonnie Raitt, Pat Benatar, Gwen Stefani (No Doubt), Fleetwood Mac, Adele, and others. It’s a fun and diverse mix!. And our music also covers many dance styles, including swing, cha cha, waltz, disco, line dancing, 2-​step, and even the twist and other rock and roll styles. People love dancing to The Big Zephyr!

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Bill Babin began playing drums in the early sixties. Strongly influenced by The Beatles and the rest of the British Invasion, he soon found himself in a ‘garage band’ known as The Rubber Memory. TRM – which later evolved into Oakridge – became a popular party band, playing almost 200 gigs between 1968 and 1972.

With everyone going off to different colleges in 1970, The Rubber Memory commited to recording an album of original music which they released in August 1970. The original vinyl record is a much sought-​after item among record collectors. (see Arizona Republic, 7÷19÷95)

Bill formed Big Zephyr in 2005 and since that time, he has been recruiting and managing an elite network of musicians commited to creating the right music at the right time at the right volume for every event.
