At Bikram Yoga Mesa we work on maintaining and growing a healthy spine and brain to knock on the door to the spirit. Yoga is the science of Religions. Whatever religious, physical or mental shape you are in you are welcome here.

History

Established in 1950.

The Hatha Yoga series we practice was perfected and originated by Bishnu Ghosh in the 1950s. It is the original «Hot Yoga» that nearly all practitioners of today have copied and altered for their own personal promotion. We have kept this class the same and kept the tradition to the name because there is so much success and a scientific purpose to what we do.

I have never done bikram yoga before coming here but I must say I am now obsessed! The place is small and intimate, which I like. The instructors are all awesome and the energy they give off is so welcoming. I did the $ 20 for 20 days which is an amazing deal. After a few classes I already started to see improvement in my flexibility.
I injured my back (not yoga related) so I have to now stop all excersise for the moment but once I can get back on track this is the yoga studio I will be attending!

I had never tried yoga before my first class here. They have a really great beginners price, so you can try it out for a couple of weeks before you buy a big plan!
I took a friend with me, and we were immediately greeted by an obvious member. Very friendly, open, and helped us in! Lobby is very nice. Easy to relax. The bathroom is cool with cubbies and the whole sha bang!
The class is a comfortable hot– it gets hard before it gets easy, but if you focus and breathe it gets comfy.
John is an excellent instructor. He’s very informative and easy going. You don’t feel pressured or undermined in that class.
I will be returning and hope to make it a great hobby! Thanks Bikram yoga Mesa!

I’ve been going to this studio 3 — 4 times per week for 3 months and absolutely love it. Since I started I’ve lost 15 pounds, greatly improved my flexibility and muscle tone, started sleeping better, and am much more relaxed in general. The instructors are awesome — very friendly and encouraging to people of all ages, shapes, sizes and ability levels. No matter what your condition when you start coming to this studio, you will feel welcomed and supported. The space itself is clean and inviting, with separate male/​female locker rooms and showers. If you’ve never practiced Bikram Yoga before, be advised: it’s HOT! That was probably the hardest thing to get used to in the beginning, and is now something I really look forward to and enjoy. Take it easy in the beginning and keep coming back, and before you know it you will be addicted!

My rating is based on the instructors mostly.
Location — pretty conveniently located at Baseline and Power for me so that works, however appearances and entrance are a different ball game. The entrance is in the BACK of the building so be ready to go around. The back door (or main entrance you would see from the street) is normally always locked because people are in the class. The classroom itself is not the best, as it’s ceiling tiles are warping and the carpet is super thin. and it seems to carry this sweaty smell all the time. But honestly I figure that a hot room anywhere would be like this. The bathroom is very nice but the hallway between the back entrance and the classroom is very thin so you are normally touching other people by shoulders or something.
So I signed up for the three month deal, and I’ve gone and seen three different instructors there. All three of them are knowledgeable but my favorite is Michelle. I got to see Julie first, very nice and soft spoken and helped when it was first class and a little uncomfortable in my positions. Michelle was a lot more upbeat talked a lot about the benefits of the positions and corrected all of us or showed us better ways for a certain position. Michael was ok but he was pretty much sitting down the majority of the class, but seemed knowledgeable of positions and discussed what the benefits of them are.
Gone for over a week and I think it is great for what it is — and the cheapest in the VALLEY! Bikram does a bunch of deals on Groupon I’ve noticed as well, but their unlimited plan for a month is $ 79 (compared to Sumits at $ 139 is reasonable to me)

I practice in Vancouver Canada everyday and what a treat to attend Mesa Bikram. It is clean uplifting and hot. I highly recommend the studio. I am going to practice here while on vacation. Come out and enjoy. Wonderful namaste.

I really wanted to like this studio, but during my second class I saw tiny black ants on my yoga towel! I then looked down closely at the carpet (which is gray/​black speckled) and saw about 10 more! I had to quickly move my mat and go to the other side of the room. It would have been ok but the person close to me was really stinky, which just ruined my whole experience. Not sure I will be back. Maybe they should look into getting hard wood flooring.

I love this studio! I have been to others in Ann Arbor, MI and in Tempe, AZ. This studio is waaaay better. The temperature is always comfortable and not unbearable. The instructors are super friendly and not drill-​sargeants. Plus, the room doesn’t stink to high-​heaven! They infuse it with essential oils. I highly recommend this studio for Bikram newbies and seasoned yogis alike :)

I cannot give this place enough praise. I recommend this particular studio to everyone that asks me about Hot Yoga! The staff is so friendly, nothing but good vibes. And the prices are unbelievably reasonable!!! I drive 20 minutes almost every single day to get my yoga in here. ITS WORTH IT. I’ve been searching for another studio that is a halfway point between my boyfriends family and I because 3 of them want to start it with me but sadly I cannot find one studio as amazing at this one. They live in the Phoenix Ahwatukee area so this particular location isn’t convenient for them. If they decide to expand more west I will be one happy girl (:

This place is just great! The studio is smallish and cozy with separate male/​female locker rooms. Owner/​instructor Jon is very kind and encouraging — makes you feel welcome and tells you how great you did (even when you almost fall on your face). The place is very judgement-​free — yogis of all levels/​ages/​sizes practice here. It doesn’t even matter if all you’re able to do is lie on your back in savasana the entire class — all are welcome!
So far, I’ve only taken classes with Jon (he sprays yummy peppermint essential oil in the air) and Heidi (who «walks» on your feet during certain poses — which feels amazing) and have liked both.
I must say, Bikram is addicting! If you’re new to the practice, give it a couple tries and I promise, at first you may feel like you’re dying but after a few classes, you will feel more alive! It’s been the only thing that’s helped ease my lower back pain. And after a long, stressful day, I find myself craving it.
Make sure not to eat a big meal right before class, wear as little clothes as possible, bring a yoga mat/​towel/​water bottle and an open mind. There’s a pretty awesome Groupon going on right now for the place too!

Bikram Yoga Mesa is the friendliest, genuinely warm and most welcoming yoga studio I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. Being from out of town, I drop in from time to time and am always amazed at the positive, relaxed vibe that I feel from the minute I open the door to the time I leave.
Jon and his teachers are amazing; they are consistently positive and smiling, both in the hot room and outside it. Visiting this studio is a mentally refreshing and physically invigorating, all round highly positive experience for me. Highly recommend!!!

Absolutely love it! I am coming here officially. After a long day in clinic, I felt back pain and shoulder pain. One of the faculty members recommended I come here with her Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30pm. The class is about 90mins long. I brought my yoga mat, long towel, small face towel, and water. Each position felt soooo gooood. I could lie in each position foreverrrrr. I especially enjoy it when time just flies! The class is about 90 mins, but felt like 30 mins. I’m a complete fan and will continue to come here! They have a special where its about $ 20 for unlimited two weeks. $ 50 per month and its about $ 10 per drop in session.

I was looking for a yoga studio close by to ease into getting back into shape after having a baby. I wasn’t too thrilled about doing Bikram Yoga, but this was a great first experience. I was nervous about doing yoga again after a long hiatus, about the heat and fearing that I’d pass out or want to throw up, and just about the whole experience in general. I was pleasantly surprised at how comforting the experience was and not only that I survived, but that I enjoyed it! The class had people of all ages, sizes, and experience levels so I was not intimidated at all. The instructor was very knowledgeable and encouraging. Only thing I would do differently is to make sure I hydrate a lot more before and after. Looking forward to my next class!

Bikram Yoga Mesa is awesome! Being new to Bikram Yoga I wasn’t sure what to expect, what to wear, etc. I was nervous initially, but quickly put at ease because the instructors went out of their way to ensure that I was comfortable in my first few classes. I am still impressed that the instructors welcome me by name and can call me by name in class. I like having options to attend early morning classes before work or evening classes after work. The studio is always clean and I feel comfortable being there.
After completing my two week trial I signed up for the monthly auto pay option. I’m two months in now and I am addicted!
