History

Established in 1982.

The Image Skin Institute’s Dr. Kessler has been a practicing Dermatologist in the Valley of the Sun since the mid-1980’s, when he founded the Image Skin Institute’s sister practice, Alta Dermatology.

Alta Dermatology dealt with both cosmetic and non-​cosmetic procedures, including treatments such as chemical peels, laser hair reduction, and microdermabrasion.

When Botox was approved by the FDA in 2002, Dr. Kessler was one of the first dermatologists in the Valley to use it cosmetically. (He continues to be a leader in the field; because of the huge number of Botox patients he treats, the Image Skin Institute was awarded the elite Platinum status by Allergan, the makers of Botox®.)

Sensing a need for a dedicated clinic for patients seeking information about Botox and other emerging cosmetic techniques, Dr. Kessler opened the Image Skin Institute shortly thereafter.

Today, both Alta Dermatology and the Image Skin Institute continue to operate serving patients’ needs.

Dr. Kessler is a board-​certified Dermatologist with over 20 years serving the Valley of the Sun. A past President of the Sonoran Dermatological Society, he is a frequent speaker on the national circuit regarding both cosmetic and non-​cosmetic dermatological issues.
