Wayne of Wayne’s Western Refrigeration & A/​C grew up in a company back east, that his Grandfather started in 1940, walking the streets with his tool box, doing service calls, till he made his first extra $ 50.00 for a down payment on a pick-​up/​service truck. The company was called Eastern Refrigeration & Restaurant Supply. When Wayne moved to Mesa, AZ in 1982, and went to trade school for Air Conditioning, along with some business college, he started walking the streets passing out flyers/​door hangers in the afternoons after work, to launch Wayne’s Western Refrigeration & A/​C in 1985. And got his first service truck, a 1985 Toyota. So since he (Wayne) grew up in Eastern, hence Wayne’s Western.

Unlike my upbringing back east in NH, with the company I was raised in, Eastern Refrigeration & Restaurant Supply, established by my Grandfather in 1940, and run by my Father since 1979, who was a true blue workaholic. Was not happy unless he was working, like his Father, I am not afraid to work, but do not necessarily have to work to be happy. For 29 plus years, whether I have had 3 other technicians, along with three other service trucks going, plus a duct man, and a few helpers, I still ran 18 to 21 hour days, in the summer, from 1985 to 2008. I purposefully had kept the business small & fought expansion, because I like to make sure things are done right, and my customers are taken care of properly. And like the old cliché goes «If you want it done right, do it yourself»! I have tried to keep it hands on and personal, as much as possible since day one. So I have been out there myself on every complete new install of a (Heating & A/​C) system, along with my duct man doing the work.
