I signed up for Unilocal just to give Dr. Ludwig the credit he and his staff are due. I went for a long while without going to the dentist until last year, and unsurprisingly had a few cavities and needed a root canal (which I knew about). They all went smoothly, and I had no complications. I’ve had about half a dozen procedures done, and it was as close to enjoyable as having someone drill into your teeth can be.
Regarding the «tricks» that someone else said he plays, he was very forthcoming with me that two of my cavities were close to the root, and one potentially needed a root canal. Both went without a hitch, and neither needed the more extensive work. I feel like there is always an unknown element with dental work as to how deep cavities really are, and sometimes there’s no way to know without getting in there — radiologists are specialists in hospitals for a reason.

Dr. Ludwig is not a trustworthy dentist. He will try and trick you into extra expensive work.
He will pull tricks like 1^st claiming you have a simple cavity but then when he drills he will «surprisingly» find it worse then he thought and claim that instead of a simple filling you now need an expensive root canal and crown or the tooth has to be pulled.
Of course being that he already started to drill and you have a hole in your tooth you are screwed.
So I guess if you like surprises (like surprise root canals) this dentist is for you, but other than that I would avoid this dentist

Although I’m only 23, I’ve had a LOT of dental work done. Most of the time, it’s been either embarrassing or horrific. Not here! I hate to say it but it was actually a pleasure getting my teeth cleaned and checked by both the dentist and the hygenist. The office is lovely and the receptionist is absolutely terrific. She was patient and understanding when I had questions about insurance.
I’m anticipating having to spend a lot of time here having old work fixed, but it doesn’t seem like a nightmare, and I think that is great.
Never settle on a dentist, if you don’t like the one you go to, there are others who will make the pain a pleasure.
