The Contemporary American menu boasts just a hint of Thai and other Asian cuisine will make you feel at home and spur your appetite. The menu has a variety of appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and a kids menu. Some of the popular entrees include Banana Leaf Wrapped Tilapia, Beef Burgundy, One Night in Bangkok, and the light and crispy Panko Flounder. In addition to the regular menu, a variety of specials is also offered every week.
While Mimi’s does not have a liquor license, they do offer their dining guests the opportunity to bring their own.
History
Established in 2010.
While Mimi’s may be new to Metuchen, it is certainly not new to New Jersey, where they have been turning out delicious meals at Mimi’s Gourmet Place in Ocean Township for the past 12 years.
Meet the Business Owner
Mimi and Timmy T.
Business Owner
Both Timmy and Mimi are natives of Burma. They spent several years living in Hong Kong before immigrating to the United States, eventually settling in New Jersey.
Timmy, the head chef, has over 30 years of experience in the kitchen. He trained with Peter Van Erp of the Culinary Institute of America and worked at fine establishments such as Café de Artistes, Hampshire House in Central Park West, the Century Club, the United Nations and the Metropolitan Opera House.
