Make A Shake

I thought this place was just OK. It could have been the flavor I ordered — I had a mix of raspberry and nutella, which in theory, should have been great… I mean nutella covered raspberries sound pretty magical. In the end, it was just too sweet.
I would have liked a smaller size to have been available as well.

Make a Shake is the number one sweet tooth palace in SoBe with the great concept of fat free yogurt mixed with any candy or chocolate treat that comes to your mind. Yep, any sweet that comes to your mind… it is sooooo delicious! I’m addicted to the granola shake and love the gummy bears and marshmallow toppings. Hey just because we live a healthy life that doesn’t mean once in a while you are not allowed to cheat!

thanks to my Unilocal app, i found this amazing little place i never wouldve heard of otherwise. its across from lincoln road mall, right on alton.
we walked in and were taken aback, whoa where to begin!??
he went with traditional oreo, you cant go wrong with that.
i went with nutella banana (one of my fave combinations).
we ended up switching bc we each liked the others better.

oh and you can stock up on candy while youre there.

Walking in you see a huge assortment of candy, which all looks delicious, and really I could make a meal out of that instead of a shake! But since it is called Make A Shake, I figured I should get a shake. For the rest, it has a cute, whimsical farm and cow pattern theme, which may be a little more elementary school than most people may like. I thought it was fun, and shows a great sense of humor.
The menu is overwhelming! There are a lot of different favors and options and I’m still confused about how it works. Luckily, the staff was super helpful.
On a chalkboard it had the «Top 10» shakes and since I had seen someone ordering on here a Nutella shake, I got that. I asked what a common add in was and she started listing banana, Ferrero Rocher, etc. I ended up getting strawberry. For a regular size it ended up being less that $ 7, which is a bit pricy, but she did give me the extra bit of my milkshake, and really that thing was like a meal replacer for me.
It tasted pretty good too! It was rich but not overly so, and wasn’t overpoweringly Nutella. I wasn’t a fan of the strawberry so much, I could have gone with fresh chunks instead and just eaten it with a spoon, but it didn’t ruin the shake for me.
Overall, I had a great experience and can’t wait to go back and try Zebra Cakes after the next time I see a movie.

If calories were free and fat was non existent I would be here every day!

Unlike many other shake, ice cream places and the same, Make a Shake has very clear instructions on how to place your order. Easy enough for me, someone who has a hard time following manuals and alike.
Are you ready? Here we go:
Step 1: Choose your Size — Regular $ 4.95 and Large $ 5.95
Step 2: Choose your Flavor (this is only painful/​difficult because I have to narrow it down). You can choose from oooohhhh-​sooo-​many varieties of flavors. Feel in a snickers sorta mood? No. Well how about some cereal with your milkshake?
Step 3: You can pick toppings for a small extra fee
I totally love this unpretentious and candy-​factory-​feel store. The service was excellent and makes me want to come back.
PS: a regular sized milkshake can easily be shared with someone. That way you save money and calories while endulging. YAY!

In the mood for a shake and feeling a little adventurous, I decided to give this new place a try. As you walk in there’s all sorts of candy lining the walls that is for sale by the pound. There are also 3 pc tablets that have internet connection hanging from the wall.
The menu is on the wall behind the counter and listed flavors like Apple Jacks, Lucky Charms and Cinnamon Toast Crunch among traditional shake flavors. The girl that worked there explained they carry the actual cereal/​candy at the store and can make it into a shake and have it taste just like the cereal/​candy you choose. I was really curious into trying the Lucky Charms but decided for the Reeses Peanut Butter Cup candy for a shake.
She took a few Reeses Peanut Butter Cups and threw them in with some milk in a blender. Then she thew in some non-​fat yogurt and blended the ingredients into a delicious, creamy shake. This had to be one of the best shakes I’ve had. I love the idea of picking your own candy to make it into a shake. The store was very clean and modern-​looking and the service was great. This place makes a better shake than Shake Shack down the street. I’ll definitely be back to try another flavor soon.

I’m like a kid in a candy store… Oh wait I’m an adult in a candy store so I CAN buy… EVERYTHING! The candy display is extensive. The shake options are also pretty varied. It’s kind of like Dairy Queen where you choose vanilla yogurt (it’s the only options) and can blend any type of candy, chocolate, or bananas into it. Quite delicious.

Awesome spot. The shakes are sooooo good. I got a nutella shake with milky way pieces and marshmallows. They have so many damn flavors from cereal to fig newton; they also have mix ins. The base of the shake is a mixture of milk plus what ever flavor you order (mine was nutella), and that’s combined with a delicious vanilla soft serve frozen yogurt that tastes better then ice cream. Then added to that is your choice of a mix-​in (i did milky way pieces and mini marshmallows). Definitely check this spot out, you won’t regret it!

A lot of choices. But expensive. Basically you pay for your cup. Any flavor and topping are charged. The price should at least include one of each. The place is funny decorated but the location in a bit far from the beach. The staff is friendly

Went in Sunday afternoon. The girl behind the counter explained to me how it work: While she was making my shake, Mike, the CEO, was telling me about the company and its origins in England.
Here’s how it works:
1) choose a size — regular or large — of fat free yogurt
2) choose a from the many flavors — categories include: chocolate, candy, cookies/​cakes, cereals, fruit
3) choose your toppings, such as whipped cream, marshmallows, almonds, and more
4) pay — $ 4.95+
5) drink and enjoy!
I wanted a Cinnabon, but thanks to the distributor, that’s not on the list. I chose a large Skittles sour and after a few sips, I wanted another shake. I’M HOOKED! I wanted to go back later that night.
Besides a shake, you can simply buy candy by the ounce. Lots to choose from.

The cow décor is reminiscent of the aforementioned ice cream shop, except they only have one flavor of fro-​yo, vanilla. By contrast, the wall is covered in 230 kinds of chocolate, candy, cookies and other sweet things. You can buy the candy in bulk or mix it into a milkshake.
It seems kind of odd to me to order a shake blended with laffy taffy or jelly beans or cotton candy so I stuck to my standard Reese’s cups. I don’t think they put much in because there were only little specks throughout the shake, instead of big chocolately, peanut-​buttery chunks. At $ 4.95 for a regular and $ 5.95 for a large, I would expect more filling.
Since there is a severe shortage of Sonics in SoFlo, I might come back if I’m craving a cold, creamy blast.

This place has a very good bulk candy selection! The idea is to buy your candy and then use it in a «milkshake.» I write milkshake, but it is really more like a flurry or Blizzard (too thick to drink from a straw).
In addition to the bulk candy, they also have candy bars and other treats to use as well. Interesting mix-​ins like cotton candy and granola are available, as well as staples like Oreos and M&Ms.

Btw– this place originates from England (this is their first US location). According to the owner, they should be receiving European candy and chocolate soon (including Cadbury Flake!)
