Great place to live. The building is true to the MIMO aesthetic(1964 Architecture) People LOVE their QUIETTIME. This place is a sanctuary where you will regularly see Manatees and Dolphins, along with a huge variety of tropical birds due to the wildlife reserve just off shore. Units are typically dated but can be fixed up and well worth it! There are many places in Miami where neighbors crank bad trance music and«fist pump» until 5am. If you are looking to impress people with your leased BMW and leave the top 4 buttons of your shirt open when you go out, look elsewhere. I hear the Flamingo on SOBE is a good place to check out.

Penthouse has a nice view. Lived here for about a year, everybody is nice. People are awfully quiet however. If you are young, I would definitely not recommend living here however. Although this place is close to a lot of great restaurants, the people that live here really do love their quiet time. We would often have parties in the apartment but by 10pm i was already getting calls to keep the noise down. Great place if you just like to keep quiet though.

Prior to the Clipper we lived in different places on the Beach, Design District and Little Havana. I can say w/o hesitation that this building(and the surrounding neighborhood) blows them all away. The apartments are big, parking is easy and the views of the bay, downtown and South Beach are overwhelming. Residents are a good mix of young and old, and all seem quite averse to hassling anyone else over building rules. So if you plan on moving anytime soon, move here. …unless you’re uncool. Don’t screw things up for the rest of us.
