One of my favorite things about Miami is discovering pocket parks, hidden green spaces that are welcoming and stunning but known only to locals. In fact, maybe this shouldn’t be on Unilocal because I like that it’s largely unknown but it’s my responsibility as a temper to let my fellow miamians know about all this city has to offer. I’m always looking for dog parks, especially ones with shade for hot summer days. A fellow dog owner told me about this little gem and that was that, I’m in love with how quiet and peaceful this place is, how few people know about it, the breeze and the stunning view of Miami beach and biscayne bay. I also have made some new friends here who also being their dogs to enjoy the shady vistas. Everyone who comes here is kind and friendly and the dogs are all super well behaved. It’s just a classy spot. They provide doggy poop bags but no water so come prepared if you go with your furry friend on a hot day. Most people who go here love in the neighborhood but there is plenty of parking. There’s also a secret walled area within the park that seems to be the remaining footprint of a building that never happened. The walls are adorned with green paint, cute little drawings and Inspiring mantras. It’s just what you need to put a smile on your face and remember how lucky we are to live in paradise.
