I mean, wow. Wow for bad customer service.
I made an appointment to have someone come and take a look at my computer. Not only did they have the wrong address written down, they kept delaying my appointment. They said they will arrive around 4pm (but with a 2hour window so you got to wait till 6pm, since it could be anytime between 4−6m) so I waited (at the correct address). Then called around 4:30pm to see if they are on their way. They said yes wait around. And then they called me close to 6pm, telling me that they will be arriving close to 7:30pm. At this point I was really tired of sitting around and waiting for them. So I started getting annoyed. Hungry too because I haven’t eaten dinner. I called them again and asked if they can come at 8:30pm instead because I wanted to finish some personal business which I ended starting around 7pm since I had waited for them They said they will check and then they called me back. They had the audacity to ask me if is it OK if they come tomorrow because they can’t make it today. The way they phrased it is kind of funny too… something along the lines of, they said it will be OK if you cancel the service for today (basically they meant that they are unable to make it to the appointment). I asked for them to clarify their statement and they said they can come tomorrow if I want. Why wait till the last minute to tell me that they have to cancel my appointment? And what is up with the fact that they will not offer any compensation for the delayed/​cancelled appointment??? I told them that I will only get their service tomorrow if they will make it free, since I had waited around for more than 2 hours and now they are telling me that they are not coming that day. They told me that they can’t offer the service for free. I didn’t end up using their service.
These people lack professionalism. If it was me, I would have offered to come at a later time on the same day rather than offering to come the day after the original appointment. Even if it is at midnight or at 10pm. An appointment is an appointment and it should be kept by the company. And since this was their fault for missing/​delaying the appointment, they should have offered some compensation. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I was suspicious when the first person I talked to railroaded me into setting up a VPN connection. I asked where their techs were, and they said they were in Miami. I watched them working on my machine (3 hrs), and all they did was run a number of virus scans on my machine, which was something I’d done on my own. When the issue was still not fixed, I asked an operator if they were going to run any system diagnostics or check for issues with the way the processor was working, etc. They ran the same tests again (another 3 hrs), and I found out in talking to the CSR that the guy who was running the virus scans on my machine was in Nicaragua. At one point in time he appeared to be trying to reinstall Office and asked for my MS Office product key. I shouldn’t have given it to him. The whole thing was fishy. Anyhoo, it appeared things were fixed, and I asked them to tell me what they did. They said they would send a report in 24 hrs. A bit later, my computer was back to doing the same stuff. They didn’t fix the problem, I didn’t trust them — or feel they were competent enough to do more than run virus scans. I never received the promised report, either — and the next day, I called in my regular tech guys, who figured out/​resolved the issue onsite right away.

This company is incompetent. I was charged $ 297 today. and was told a tech would be at my home between 5p and 7p tonight. At 3:45 pm I received a phone call from Frank from Miami. He informed me that a tech would be unavailable today. He stated he could not get anyone to accept this work order. He went on about how the closest tech was 55 miles away. When I asked for a refund he said he would hold my money and I could reschedule. I asked again to be refunded and was told I had to wait 5 business days. I did speak to a supervisor who said the same and that it was out of her hands. I should have Unilocaled this company. Take my advice and avoid them!!!

I can see why they have 0 – 1 stars. Their service is below par, they do not honor their monthly servicing to your computer, they take your money and then make up some excuse as to why they won’t service you or give you a refund for non service.
When and if you are stupid enough to call them, make sure that they do not try and sell you a monthly service and charge you $ 25.00 for that service. A service they do not honor and have no intention of providing for you.
In short.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY NO MATTER WHAT. CALL A LOCAL NUMBER OF AN INDEPENDENT COMPANY AND GET WRITTEN GUARANTEES BEFORE THEY DO ANYTHING TO YOUR COMPUTER.
WORST COMPANY EVER THAT I HAD TO DEAL WITH… FLORIDA BASED COMPANIES ARE RIP OFFS.
I AM GIVING THEM ONE STAR. THEY DESERVE MINUS STARS.

Geeks on Site cheated me out of $ 550. They were supposed to be helping me and, according to their tech who came out to my house who was honest and told me the real deal, they just wanted a quick sale and sold me the wrong computer, and they do this to people all the time. They didn’t ask one question about which programs I used with Windows XP, they used scare tactics like «If you don’t buy a new computer (from them), you will get a virus.» They should have assessed what I needed. They shipped me a Windows8 which NONE of my important programs will run on. They refused to exchange it for a Windows7 (which my «Legacy» programs will run on) because it was past the 30 days, I talked also to a supervisor. So I am stuck with a computer I can’t use. I am trying to dispute the debit card purchase with my bank. So do not ever hire these cheats.

It is impossible to talk to an expert, even if you pay the fee. I was charged for an ongoing subscription without my consent and they refused to credit me.

In October 2012 I needed a computer tech to help recover lost files on my desktop. Geeks on Site came highly recommended. They sent someone out who spent 4 hours recovering my data. She was successful, but when I lost it again a month later, I was told it would cost me again as if nothing had been done. When the tech finished her job, I paid her with a check from a Money Market Account. Nearly 30 days later, I received a call from the manager of the Huntington Beach, CA store stating that my check was no good. I told him that was incorrect and asked him to put it through again. He said he couldn’t figure out the numbers on the bottom of the check (different than on a regular bank account check). So, I helped him figure out what numbers he needed. He stated if I didn’t hear from him, that everything was okay.
Fast forward to September 10, 2013. I received a dun letter in the mail stating I was subject to legal proceedings if this wasn’t paid within 7 days of the date of the letter. This was day 7! After holding for 35 minutes to try and find out what was going on, I left a message and looked for another number. The new number I found connected me to a «real» person. I explained to him what was happening. Upon checking his files, he found he had the check right there, un-​cashed and un-​deposited! REALLY??? I asked why and he couldn’t provide me with an answer. He asked for a debit card to take care of this. I told him I would only give him a credit card and that I wanted the original check returned to me immediately. He wasn’t sure that could be done. I told him to figure out how to do it.
This company qualifies for Idiot of the Year! I cannot fathom why anyone would hold a check without cashing it for nearly a year and then suddenly send out a note that I was subject to legal proceedings if I didn’t take care of it immediately.
Trust me when I say there are other computer techs out there. This is not a company that you want to consider doing business with.
