We have contracted Hugo for the last two years to photograph a corporate group in Miami. Hugo is professional, personable, timely with deadlines
and his photography talent is unsurpassed! He captures fantastic candid shots of the participants and creative, beautiful photos of the evening events and resorts.
I have been hugely impressed with Hugo’s photography skills, and enjoyed working with him. Big thumbs up and I look forward to working with him for years to come!

I’ve watched Hugo’s career and his photographs are amazing and get better with each time I see his works… from his fashion editorials to his portraits and clients’ events. I’ve only heard great things about him and will use him for my upcoming buildings and interiors shots.

Very professional and talented

Just read the two reviews below and suspect it must be the same person. Not sure what happened there but I have used Hugo Lopez twice, the last time on July 22^nd to document my parents’ 50^th wedding anniversary celebration and can attest to his professionalism. Hugo was a joy to work with and produced beautiful photographs that captured the magic of our celebration. I can highly recommend him.

As a marketing consultant with a portfolio of clients needing headshots, product shots and event shots, I’ve hired Hugo on 6 occasions. He’s talented, easy to get along with, collaborative, punctual and reasonably priced. He also spends a lot of time in post-​production making sure all the shots are color balanced, consistent in lighting and appearance, cropped and Photoshopped. In a town full of flakes, Hugo always delivers and I’ll continue sending work his way without hesitation.

Hugo is the most unprofessional photographer I’ve ever dealt with.
I contacted him well in advance of a 6-​hour corporate event to schedule his services, made a ¹⁄₃ deposit of $ 100 via PayPal and received confirmation of receipt.
I followed up with him the day before the event to ensure that we were good to go – he assured me that he would be there and all was well.
Four minutes AFTER he was scheduled to arrive for the event, he sent me an email informing me that he was having «health issues» and couldn’t make it.
When I responded to let him know how unprofessional this was, he replied back saying that his conduct was «nothing but professional» and threatening to «report your company to the business bureau» if I gave him a bad review.

He also claimed that he tried to call me the day of the event, but couldn’t reach me because he didn’t have my correct cell number. However, a quick review of the company phone logs revealed that he didn’t attempt to call anyone in the company .
You can add «liar» to the terms that describe this guy.
Edit ⁸⁄₂₂:
Hugo sent a private note to the owner of my company begging him to order me to remove my above review, claiming it was «false.» In the next breath he threatened «potential damage» to the company if it wasn’t removed. I asked Hugo to send me his business address so our attorney could contact him regarding such «potential damage.» Hugo wisely declined.
Hugo has now enlisted nine of his «friends» to write reviews in response to my detailed, factual account of what happened. One of them feels the need to allege that Kevin’s review is fake. That speaks to the quality of Hugo’s marketing efforts. That seven of these reviews by his «friends» have been filtered out by Unilocal speaks volumes about his business practices. Unprofessional and dishonest… that’s Hugo’s mode of operation.
Note that in Hugo’s response to my review he contradicts not a word of what I wrote above, choosing rather to try and deflect blame b/​c he claims not to have been able to reach me by phone. Even if he had bothered to pick up the phone, it was too late for us to find a replacement.
His mysterious «illness» that he came down with when he should have been in the car driving to the gig still remains unexplained. Miami + photographer + Sunday morning + illness that makes one too sick to go on a boat… hmmmmm… draw your own conclusions.
