My family has been eating at this restaurant for more than 40 years, and it still does not fail to disappoint. The red sauce is delicious, I’ve never eaten a dish I haven’t liked there, and the family atmosphere is wonderful. It’s a family owned and run restaurant founded by Nunzio and Gilda, and it continues to be owned and managed by their sons. Love it!

I visit Nunzio’s often and they are a good family own Pasta/Pizza place. They were having some issues several months ago, but it looks like they are back. Their food flavor is back! Their pizza can compete with anyone else in the business. I recommend them if your local or if you’re searching for a family owned Italian restaurant.

My favorite Italian place no matter how many years pass by. Such a special place that holds great memories. Food is fresh and delicious! The Lasagna is my absolute favorite!

So we decided to bring my girlfriends mom here for her birthday to have authentic Italian food. Boy were we disappointed! The waitress was really nice but not good about proving feedback. We asked for garlic rolls and I didn’t find out until halfway through out dinner why it was that it never arrived at the table(they were out) when placing the order we had to basically eat the last 3 things they did have because they were out of almost everything we would order something and she would run back and say they were out! –_-. Now I did give it three stars despite all this cause the staff was nice an apologetic about the situation and the food that did come out was good! They dimmed the lights to sing happy birthday with was nice felt like a surprise. So overall it wasn’t a terrible time.

Recommendation: Zuppetta Family own and ran Italian spot in West Kendall. Everything they bring out of that kitchen is just delicious. We started off with their mozzarella bread covered in marinara and if that’s all I ate, I would have been content. But gladly, the meal wasn’t over yet. Going off of another Unilocaler’s post I had the Medaglioni Gilda. It was great and the portion was perfect. This time around we didn’t order the zuppetta(still regretting it), but if there’s one item on the menu that will have you coming back, it’s that.

This place never ceases to disappoint. I have lived less than 5 minutes from this restaurant for over 10 years, and I have given it multiple opportunities to gain my business, but it has always failed. In the past it was the subpar food. This time I figured I would give it another shot… who knows, they might have improved the cooking. Well I had no shot of finding out because we were told the wait for 2 was 20 minutes and we ended up walking out after 45 minutes. Here’s a hint, if your wait is actually 45 minutes, don’t lie to get more tables turned. It results in a loss of cliente that will NEVER give you another shot.

After a decade, I’m officially breaking up with Nunzios… we will not be returning. Too many little things add up… hostess is totally blah and clueless on providing estimated wait time. We were told 20 minutes for a party of 5 and waited 45. We arrive at the table and were barely greeted by the grumpiest waiter… served flat sodas… had to wait for them to find cans… not a pleasant start. A drink refill was never offered. This restaurant is dated, which we can accept but the lack of cleanliness is not acceptable, regardless of how good the food is. This place needs a complete overhaul, starting with the staff. Goodbye Nunzios.

I’ve been to this restaurant before back in 2005, and again in 2015, and the décor has not changed. Not a good 2nd impression. But décor never bothered me anyway as long as the food is good. Decided to try it the second time around after my 2005 encounter because I remembered it to be delicious. Walked in on a rainy Friday and was seated right away. Started off with a Bruschetta. I don’t think the waitress heard us correctly or perhaps we were ignorant with what we were ordering but when it came out, we had a pizza with tomatoes on it. I was confused and my husband was well. Usually bruschetta is a few pieces of bread with oil, tomatoes and other good stuff. But we received a full blown pizza. That’s strange. Never had bruschetta like that before. For our entrée, I order the Baked Ziti and my husband the Fettuccine. They were just eh! Nothing spectacular. I’ve had better, and he felt the same too. We skipped dessert because of our huge bruschetta«pizza» and opted to just get the check and go home. With all the great Italian places in the area, probably won’t come back.

Genuine Italian family owned restaurant. Inviting environment family oriented and romantic. This is a hidden gem! Best Italian food outside of Italy! We will be back!

WHAT. HAPPENED. I’m still shocked at what Nunzio’s has become. My family and I(and many many many other families) have been coming here for ages! So imagine the confusion I felt when I walked in on a Thursday during dinner time to find a completely empty restaurant. Very weird… We tried ordering soup, but they were out of every type of soup. We then ordered the godfather(meat lovers) pizza, to soon be informed that there is NO pepperoni and NO sausage. What?! Ok, dessert time: but shocker, they’re all out of every type of dessert! We got the very last zuppeta out of pure luck. The food, by the way, was pretty bland and far from special, which it used to be. It seems(assumption) there have been some ownership/management changes. It truly truly truly saddens me to see Nunzio’s the way it has become. What once was a favorite to sooo many in Miami has very quickly gone downhill. An extra star because our server was super sweet.

Best lasagna ever!!! Great place and great people. The place isn’t fancy, but it’s all about the food.

Three stars. and I will tell you why. Time and time again, I would go by this restaurant(over the years) and it was always during their«closed» hours. It became so frustrating to me, that I FINALLY jotted down their hours, and caught it at the«right time» for once. Kinda my fault, but still… frustrating schedule for those of us who eat late late lunch or earlier than usual lunch. Food: Showed and ended up ordering take out as there was a huge party(15 – 20 people table) and they were being too loud for my taste. We ordered two meals, portions weren’t as big as we expected for pasta dishes(tortellini was one of them, don’t recall the other). Usually, for the price and it being pasta and all, there is more food, not in this case. I don’t eat a lot, but I usually choose one dish to share with my toddler… tortellini was not big enough for that. There were two things that did put a smile on my face: 1– the service provided by person who took order. Very nice. Packed everything well, friendly, etc. 2-the dessert!!! I cannot recall the name now, but it was to die for. I don’t know that I will ever be back, in a «I planned to come» manner. But if I am ever in the shopping center(I shop there a lot) I might just see if they are open and grab a bite, as long as I am not very very hungry and can do with smaller portion meal.

When you walk into Nunzio’s you get a sense that its probably owned by an old husband and wife couple that has been running it their entire lives. It’s a cozy restaurant in a nondescript shopping center. Honestly, if I had to describe my experience at Nunzio’s it would be that — nondescript. The first thing I noticed is that the place smelled awesome. Think bread, garlic, etc. We stood around for a while because we weren’t sure if it seat yourself or wait for a hostess but finally a server told us to find a table. A server came soon after with two menus and asked us what we wanted to drink. She wasn’t the most friendly server I’ve ever encountered but I also wouldn’t call her rude. She was cordial. She took our wine and appetizer order(garlic cheese bread). It was hard to figure out what I wanted for dinner because nothing really«stood out» for me. It was again, nondescript. In the end I settled on the meat lasagna. Our appetizer arrived right on time, as did the salad for my meal. The bread again was good but I couldn’t help but think that I could(and do!) make this at home. I felt the same way about my meat lasagna. I don’t know if it’s Italian food(which I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite but I can appreciate) or just this place. I think I would come here again if I were in the area and wanted some pasta. PS: when you pay, on the left hand side of the register is a really dusty corner I wrote«hi» on, if its still there the next time I visit, I’m going to be mildly horrified!

A small family restaurant with authentic cuisine. The Trancheti con Spinaci was really good and the lasagna special is amazing! They make Alfredo Nunzio with muchrooms and proscuito, which also is excellent. The food did not disapoint at this unassuming hole in the wall. The wait staff was not as enthuiastic as I would have like so I took a star off, although they were not rude either. The hostess was really pleasent and welcoming though. The food was home cooked, fresh, fairly fast to arrive and cooked to perfection. I will be visting this restaurant again in the future.

My boyfriend and I needed a break from your typical Olive Garden, yet still wanted some pasta. Decided on this place for it’s nice reviews and near our neighborhood. Food. was so tasty! The menu is small and straight to the point. Go here if you want traditional dishes. I had the meat tortellini and my boyfriend the veal, both had good favor and sauce. Oh and the cheese and bread… mama mia! Note: for dessert either go for the cappuccino or actual dessert, do not do both because you’ll end up with a sugar rush. We got to speak with the owner of the restaurant and he is such a nice guy. Showed me all the pictures around the restaurant and told me who were in them(very big family!). My only downside, we had such a small table we had to place things on the side. Also, food came out at once. But other than that, food was delicious! Will go back to try the pizza!

This restaurant is ok. I’ve gone here mostly because its convenient or it’s been someone else’s choice. I have tried the chicken Parmesan, pizza, their lasagna, fettuccini Alfredo and their cheese bread. The cheese bread is what I have liked most … Which isn’t really what should be my favorite from their menu. Chicken parm pizza & lasagna are ok… Nothing memorable about them. I thought the fettuccini was extremely bland, no taste at all… Not even putting lots of Parmesan cheese helped. It was one of the worst I have had. Not crazy about their customer service. They take long even though sometimes it’s been kinda empty & they are not very friendly… Not rude, but not welcoming either. Actually I felt quite unwelcomed, more like a nuisance and I didn’t even have any special requests! Leaving me no reason to wish to come back. I think I am done trying this place out.
