This restaurant is located in the Hyatt Regency. They have a really great buffet for breakfast where we have eaten during our stay. There are also daily special thematic buffets for dinner but we did not try those. The breakfast buffet is quite extensive and high quality. The cost is $ 20 a person before tax and tip. I think it is worth the cost because there are meats, eggs, salmon, pastries, fruits, cereals, and other goodies. If you don’t leave full, there is a problem. Service is very accommodating and polite. I would highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast if you are staying in the hotel.

I was expecting typical overprice/mediocre hotel food. It’s not the fanciest restaurant; however, everything here was absolutely fabulous from the butternut squash ravioli to the pecan crusted fish. I was thoroughly impressed with the service as well. The food was a little pricy(although not by hotel standards) and the service was impeccable — I was at Morton’s the other night and the service at this hotel blew the service there away! Gabriel was a fantastic server and all of the busboys/help were always available but not intrusive. I would definitely recommend coming here for dinner. I saw that they have daily deals as well — will definitely be back.

So restaurant in the Hyatt. Breakfast catered for my conference has been ok but a bit of strange menu planning(like pot pie, mashed potatoes and cornbread all together) so I was not sure about eating dinner here. Though their AM breakfast in this café looked divine compared to ours… Well due to a rather funny mix up w hotel staff who made me into the conference breakfast crasher the hotel comped me dinner. It was really good! And not just because it was free either people. I had conch soup which was ok but the chimichurri steak was something unexpected. A nice garlic vinegar marinate w a little onion and parsley and cooked perfectly medium. I like rare but thought flank steak would come out tough… This kicked the PANTS off Guapos in NOVA. The plantains were not too sweet and not greasy at all w Some Carmilization. Rice seemed a big t on the instant side but e that vinegar-garlic marinade it was fine. Ended w key lime pie which I’m taking to the room bc that piece of steak was not little, folks. And try a holy mackerel beer. It is high octane and as good as a Belgian beer. Thomas was adorable. All the wait staff are quite nice here. It was a real pleasure and a very nice surprise for a hotel restaurant.

Good service, Denny’s quality food for $$$ prices. And worst of all, when I ordered a glass of wine that I was familiar with, they brought out a glass of cheap nasty wine. Not only it wasn’t the bran I ordered, it wasn’t even the right type of wine. When I sent it back, the second glass was the right wine. This is very common practice in Miami bars and restaurants, but I wouldn’t have expected it from Hyatt.

Checked in at our hotel and needed something quick n easy for dinner so came here only out of convenience. Nice atmosphere, but our waiter seemed less than thrilled to be there. He walked up to our table and looked at us and just said«yes?»…they have a special for every day of the week written on a chalkboard; today was«burger Monday». So I asked our waiter about it, which he shortly replied, «there’s only one burger.»…stared at us, and he then walked away. He was very short with us and kind of rude. After perusing the menu(there isn’t a ton of options for sandwiches and things of that nature and most entrees are rather expensive), I decided on the burger. It came with fries and it was pretty tasty. I suppose you can only get a burger on Monday since it’s not on the menu. I wouldn’t come back here, unless it was for a burger.

Great restaurant. Went on a Thursday night after flying in from LA. On Thursdays they have a 3 course dinner for $ 25. Cannot beat this deal; had a garden salad with a white balsamic to start, Argentinian steak with chimichurri, fried plantains, rice and beans… absolute perfection, finished the meal with a dark chocolate tart with caramelized bananas and fresh berries, delicious. We also had the ribs and chicken Alfredo and both were very good. For dessert tried the skillet chocolate chip cookie with ice cream and the caramel flan, both were very good. Only issue is that they took automatic 15% gratuity but since the service was excellent I did not mind.

If you’re feeling nostalgic and craving cafeteria food from your old school days, and don’t mind paying as if for 2-star cuisine, this is your place! And wow, the service is faster than McDonald’s…my Fettuccine Alfredo was delivered to my table literally less than 50 seconds after ordering! I don’t remember my school cafeteria ever serving Fettuccine Alfredo but if they did, I’m sure this is how it would be — clumpy and flavorless… Riverwalk nailed it! The only thing that breaks character a bit is that the that servers weren’t grumpy old ladies… they were quite pleasant and attentive. But if the institutional vibe is what you’re after, the food will not disappoint!

Stopped in for an impromptu lunch today as we were attending my son’s HS mock trial competition at the Hyatt. Located in the lobby of this hotel. We were greeted and seated promptly. We were advised of their all you can eat salad bar buffet for $ 16.00; however, we wanted something quick and we went ahead and order off the menu. For starters we ordered the hummus which is served with pita bread, celery stick, carrots and olives. Yummy! We proceeded to order a lobster roll which was huge, plenty of lobster meat and a crunchy bacon strip to top it off, the roll was accompanied by crispy delicious fries. I forgot what my husband ordered but he said he liked it. Overall the food was great, nice location, definitely will go back with the kids. We stay away from the downtown, brickell area due to its parking situation but will definitely venture back.

Not a lot of choices on the menu for a picky eater like myself. I am really writing a review because the wait staff was just so extra friendly and made my dining alone memorable. I ordered the chicken Alfredo which was yummy but I felt like it could have used a little more garlic or something. I did order dessert and the Flan was very very yummy I wish I just skip the dinner and just got dessert it was that yummy.

we got to the riverwalk café a little late on a saturday night when they had the special buffet night on. not worth it for $ 22 but this was totally our fault for choosing it so late, should have ordered off the bar menu which looked delicious! there just wasn’t that much left once we were eating. the chicken and pork they brought out was just ok, a bit cold and you could tell not very fresh but again we shouldn’t have left it so late! it was about 10pm before we went down. the only think that was really bad was the number of times that the same 2 waitresses came to our table to ask how everything was. we counted at least 10 times during one meal. it was completely unnecessary and ridiculous. i know she wanted to make sure we were ok, but we told her the first 3 times that yes it was fine, she was incessant and it really made our dining experience much worse than it should have been. we couldnt wait to get out of there purely because we were sick of her asking us how we were. it was 9 times too many. the view on the water was nice, and the hotel was still quite busy that time of night which added to the atmosphere. the drinks came quickly and there is also a tiny little café to the side of the restaurant which serves coffees, nice looking pastries and a delicious quiche!

The service is very friendly, but the food is absolutely awful. I had a stale bagel($ 3.50) for breakfast, gave them a shot for lunch and had a cold chicken sandwich that was barely edible($ 10), and then had to give their lobster bisque($ 8) a try for dinner because lobster bisque is my favorite … big mistake … no lobster, a couple of chunks of shrimp, and barely thicker than a chicken broth. The people working the counter are fabulous, gave me a side of garlic bread with my soup that might have been the best thing I ate out of all listed above. Only giving an extra star for good service, but the food is so terrible that I would not recommend eating here.

I will start by saying my 5 star review is based on SERVICE and not the food itself. I was at the Hyatt Regency with the Crossfit Tour. I did not encounter the amazing customer service until I walked back towards the river walk café to grab breakfast on the Morning of March 7, 2014. It was approx 9am so I was still half asleep. I passed a small coffee bar(I’m assuming) in the front and was greeted a very warm welcoming«Good Morning» by a couple of employees. As I walk into the café I heard 3 more Good Mornings from 3 more employees! This is all within 30 seconds! Everyone was so friendly and happy. The buffet food selection was average(I wish they had pineapple at the fruit bar!) and the food itself was so so. The fruit french toast was amazing, that was my favorite. We had multiple servers checking on us the ENTIRE time. Refilling water, offering more orange juice, bringing coffee, checking on the food. They were incredible. I think we had to mention how great the service was 3 times while eating. I was so impressed. I’ve worked in the service industry for years and still do. It’s rare to walk into an establishment and feel so welcomed and taken care of. I wish I’d gotten every single person’s name to specifically praise them, but it’s safe to say was the entire staff at Riverwalk Café.

The serrver Massel and his helper Veronica were the best. The food barely ok. The buffet is a joke. Talk about a food safety nightmare… I saw the ungloved employee putting spilled food back on the dishes instead of throwing it it. The oatmeal is in an open pot with no lid… This food is just disgusting… I would expect this place to be so much cleaner being inside the Hyatt Regency. The prices reflect an expensive location that should pay more attention to detail.

Open until midnight and serve fair size meal even after 11pm. I enjoyed their Stake Salad a lot. I personally do not appreciate a sport bar type of setting, but the view from this restaurant and the quality of meal made me happy.

Man, thank God Joy and I got complimentary vouchers for breakfast. How did we come to get this? Well here is what happened. When we arrived to the hotel, the desk clerk said that they had good news and bad news… The bad news was that they didn’t have our room, so they offered us a temporary half suit with a «Murphy Bed». If you do not know what a Murphy bed is. its a bed that pulls out of the wall. The deal was that we would sleep there for that night, and the next day we would move to the better, original room. The good news was that the desk clerk«Shane», really helped us out. The room for the first night was free, and he gave us free meal vouchers for the rest of our stay, which was good because the breakfast was not good, or worth the money they would have charged us. Now the dinner was better and redeemed the breakfast flop. They offered all you can eat paella, and it was good! If we would have to had pay for all of our meals this past weekend it would have gotten expensive, if we had to sleep on a Murphy bed the first night with our feet hanging off the edge, just to have all our meals free and one night free, then so be it… LOL we had a great weekend.

The brunch was expensive, but good. We didn’t go for the buffet, instead opting for some normal dishes. The corned beef hash was very good, coffee was ok. The orange juice comes from a Tropicana bottle behind the scenes… we were expecting a bit more for a expensive breakfast in Flordia.

I’ve worked across from the Hyatt for 13 years, and I’ve never eaten here before. Recently, my firm hosted a seminar at the hotel and I ate lunch at the hotel’s café. The food was very good, but it took a little longer than I would have liked to be attended to and served. Other than the slow service, I have no complaints. The restaurant is off to the side, so you are not in the middle of the Hyatt’s bustling lobby and the food is excellent.

My wife and I tried their steak last week and liked both the food and the service. They offer a nice blend of American-Latin cuisine. For the dinner plus one bottle of wine and appetizer, we paid a little over $ 100 that seemed very good considering the high quality of the place, service and food.

To make a long story short… my friends and I had free breakfast buffet tickets for this café inside the Hyatt Regency Downtown because they overbooked and we had to relocate next door to the Courtyard by Marriott hotel. I’m not much of a breakfast person so I wasn’t as excited as my friends were to get free breakfast buffet coupons. The buffet is normally priced around $ 20ish but don’t quote me on that because I didn’t pay for my meal & I glanced quickly at the menu prices before we were seated. The buffet had a lot of options for a simple hotel buffet but they lacked Latin food items that I assumed would be available since we were in Miami. Anyway, there were plenty of typical American food items like: waffles, pancakes, eggs benedict, cereal, yogurt, pastries, fruits, etc. I particularly enjoyed the eggs benedict because the eggs were poached just right & is wasn’t smothered in hollandaise sauce like some others I’ve had. The service is pretty great here too. The staff is very attentive & very quick. I remember going in for another helping of the silver dollar pancakes but there wasn’t anymore syrup so I walked to the other side of the buffet to grab some fruit & when I looked up I saw the restaurant manager refilling the syrup container. I also love when my cup never reaches the empty mark because the servers are super quick with refilling your cup with juice or water! We even tried to make a game out of it but failed miserably because the servers were always on it. I’m not sure if I’d want to deal with this Hyatt location again because I’m afraid that it may get overbooked again since it’s neighboring the convention center but I will definitely stop by the café.
