Cool little spot in Wynwood that serves yummy breakfast and lunch! The food was fresh and seating was easy for us to get. But be aware the seating is only at the bar.

I really wanted to like this place, but after the completely stale burger bun and watching the cooks use their phones while handling food, I was nauseated.

Dive diner. Service was good, but food was overcooked and lacked flavor. Coffee was blah. Not in favor of how they include tip at a dive diner. I could also do without the smell of garbage as I walk from the parking behind the diner to the front door.

This place is defiantly a dive, it’s existence since 1938 is quite impressive. But other than that I will not be coming back. I have been here twice and each time the food orders are mixed up and taking way too long. First time I came I had the Cajun grouper with salad. It was ok, but I have to question if it was grouper due to the texture and size of the cut. You hear stories of places serving Tilapia instead? Fish filet was from a small filet and you can tell, grouper cuts are large and typically square, rare for you to get grouper cut that has tail piece. Specials board showed lentil soup so I asked for a cup, waitress said we are out of lentil soup. I got chicken rice instead. Next thing you know two other customers got lentil soup after me? Customers that sat after me. Huh? So specials board also show Roasted turkey special on board and Come to find out it’s only on Tuesdays but shows all week! They are supposedly known for there turkey. I love turkey, gravy, stuffing and mash and gravy, so I had to come back. So guess what I come back on Tuesday and NO Turkey special. «Ohh sorry our truck no come yesterday» Ok… So I ordered blackened chicken and salad instead. We will see what happens. It’s basically a old fashion diner that is definitely divey, really divey. It’s in midtown Miami which basically is on the revival. I’m came twice for lunch and unless I’m drunk I won’t be back.

I liked the S&S diner ambiance with the speed of the service. The food was ok. I ordered french toast and it was slightly soggy. I wanted a bigger portion as well. The eggs were good as well as the bacon. I would stick to classic staples of breakfast rather the sweet options. My friends enjoyed the hash. The service was attentive and they filled up our coffee whenever we wanted it. There is some parking available on the street. There are not many diners in Miami so it is definitely a different experience.

Perfect for what it is. Always open when I need it, free parking, hot coffee, grits, around the corner, nice peeps and something hardy to eat. It is so anti Miami, just what I need.

You know all those diners designed to look retro with old school movie posters? Well, this place is what they are trying to copy. Pretty sure the movie posters on the walls going back to movies from the 40’s are real, and were bought when the movies came out. I just got a burger and fries, but fries were crispy and you could tell the oil was fresh. Burger was medium as requested, and the veggies were good. I know seems like something that shouldn’t be a big deal, but it’s shocking how many places can’t make a burger right. Not sure why this is shown as closed, I was here a couple weeks ago, and busy as could be.

Our waitress Monica was not only beautiful, but even more welcoming and personable. I highly(and I cannot stress this enough) recommend the Spanish omelette! Best omelette ever!

Hooray for the small diner!!! Seats only 23 people so you may have to wait but it’s COMPLETELY worth it! Went there for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. Food is exactly what you think of when you think diner. greasy and great! If you want healthy don’t go here… if you want yummy go here! Small staff makes things very efficient. Definitely a Miami hole in the wall landmark. Building was built in the 20s so the restrooms are outside but the character of the restaurant makes up for any«inconveniences» you may think exist. Go. you’ll be happy you did

I came here with a group of 6 people and by some miracle we were all able to get seats together at the weird U-shaped counter. Our server was extremely nice, but seemed very frazzled, and began to stress me out! The food was ok. I got the banana pancakes because all of the reviews said they were to die for… But I didn’t think they were that great. Very BIG– but not amazing. I got a side of bacon which was disappointingly small. We were also kind of rushed out by the woman at the desk where you pay– understandable because it is such a small restaurant. But I’d rather go somewhere I can sit back and relax a bit more.

Let me start by saying, the staff is really friendly… but the food is ehhh. We had burgers and frys… burgers were dry like fast food and the frys tasted like fish. I am assuming they use the same oil. I was hoping for a nice flavorful greasy spoon diner… this is not the case. More like McDonalds with fishy frys

This diner has been around since the 1930s. It definitely has character to it. don’t expect anything fancy. It is a counter with about 20 seats. There are no tables. There are two waitresses manning the counter. It is simple diner food. I had the grilled cheese with a tomato and a cup of chili. Cost about $ 9. The grilled cheese was made on wheat bread from the grocery store. It was nothing fancy… just a plain grilled cheese. The chili had good flavor and was full of meat and beans. The tuna melt had good flavor and had diced celery in it for added flavor. The French fries were average fries. The bathroom is in the back of the building so you have to get a key and go outside to go to the bathroom. Overall, this place is nothing fancy and has simple recipes. They do a roasted turkey and fixins on Tuesdays that I would love to try! There is parking behind the diner for FREE. They have more parking spots than chairs at the counter!

Good food for the price. I had the tuna melt. Small space with 20 counter seats. Bathroom is outside. No bike parking. Staff is friendly. Only two veggies made on weekend. Been here since 1938! Breakfast served all day

Absolutely loved the service and food! Great place to eat before getting into the beach or shopping. Inside is smaller than most of the photos made it look but the posters and furniture give it an Italian vibe. I ordered the Belgian waffle and my sister ordered the French toast. We were both really pleased with how the food tasted and how quick it came out. The place gets busy in the morning but it’s not so busy that you can’t be seated within like 10 minutes. Can’t wait to come back for my next adventure!

A little walk(few blocks) from the ARSHT Theatre but worth the walk this morning. Open till 4pm. True diner inside! Has a u shape counter with attached barstools to the floor. Quaint and filling. Tomorrow is Tues– Roasted Turkey with all the trimmings. We may be back! He he. This morning bday had the meatloaf, mashed potatoes with gravy and salad. It was good. I had eggs Bene with potatoes. Good. We were so hungry forgot to take pix. We also ordered a grilled cheese with tomatoe as a side. Well it came nothing to write home about. Cheese not melted. A slap of Kraft processed cheese… Meh

A cute little diner in Miami. Very kitschy(movie posters, cheesy signs), but it all adds to the old-fashioned diner style. I had the salmon eggs benedict and tried the eggs, bacon, and pancakes of my friends. All were very good and very filling – we didn’t have lunch that day. The servers were very kind and attentive. As soon as the coffee was fresh, I got a cup. That makes them a winner in my book. Only downside: it took about 30 minutes to get our food. It certainly tasted fresh, but I’m glad we weren’t in a hurry.

I’ve been coming on and off to S&S diner for 30 years! It’s like going back in time same menu same people. Like home cooked food l, nothing fancy just plain home cooked basics a must try if you like Miami history Across from the oldest and one of the first Cemetery’s in Miami
