This place has a massive amount of fabric, with much of it at a discounted price. Beats the big stores on price and customer service. The owner Asher is very knowledgeable and will go out of his way to provide great customer service. If you have questions about an upholstery project they will be more than happy to give you advice and will even deliver to your home. I found them online and will considering buying online from them in the future.

Beware. Prices are not marked on the bolts and you will be charged by your appearance. The $ 35 per yard fabric that I purchased was available in the internet for $ 19.95. That’s a huge difference!

I was looking for a very tough fabric that I could use to reinforce some high contact areas that were getting worn on my convertible top. I could have easily ordered 1000 Denier Nylon on Amazon (as most people online with this problem do) and called it a day, but I prefer to support local businesses whenever possible.
Sobie went above and beyond for 2 reasons. First of all, the service I received was amazing – especially since we’re talking about as small of a sale for them as possible: 1 yard of fabric for $ 13. I had issues getting to their store during their operational hours, so they delivered it to my office in Coconut Grove at no charge since they’d be in the neighborhood!
Second, this fabric is the *exact* material that my top is made of… I really don’t know what else to say at this point, this couldn’t have worked out any better. Many thanks to Ida and everyone at Sobie for providing an excellent product and service, a combination which is really uncommon.

My boyfriend and I had been looking for a place to reupholster our futon. We were having a hard time finding the material we wanted in the color that we wanted it and then getting someone to upholster it for the right price.
That’s when my boyfriend’s mom helped us find Sobie. She’s not familiar with our area being that she lives in Puerto Rico but she had seen it online and spoken with the owner via phone and e-​mail. When we passed by the store we met Asher, I believe he’s the store owner, and he already knew about out futon and had remembered the photos my mother-​in-​law had sent.
They had a huge selections of fabrics to choose from! We chose a microfiber in a color that we liked, a rustic kind of red. Asher was very nice and outgoing, he gave us a great quote for the upholstery! Every person we spoke to during the process was very nice. I feel like everyone there is always happy, at least during all my visits.
When we finally got the call that our futon was ready, we were excited!!!
When we saw our futon it was exactly what we wanted! It had the same design and even the zipper in the back for easy removal, they even but back all the original tags!!! You could never tell that it wasn’t the original upholstery! And the back of the futon was a triple split back which I know is a difficult upholstery but it was spotless! We are vey satisfied that we were able to keep our futon, it was a really expensive futon we had bought a couple years back from crate and barrel!
I highly recommend Sobie to all my friend and family for fabrics and upholstery!

You get to love this store. the family business very talent of the knowledge’s handsome owner provide a lot fabric from normal, classic, or leather. BUT if you have time please go talk to them to get your solution otherwise you have take luck with you to find the fabric you can match!
