I love everything about this spa! From the A+ customer service, the robes, to the beds that adjust to angle the body legs slightly elevated when laying face down or upper body when laying on your back. My therapist was extremely professional and very accommodating, she gave me a great 80 minute massage. I finished off with a great body scrub and then took a shower inside my massage room. As the therapist prepared the water to a perfect temperature. She left the room as I showered and when I was done, she had a nice cup of warm orange infused water waiting. I will definitely be back. Worth every penny!

It’s tough to give an average review for a luxury hotel because service-​wise, they try really hard to make your experience special. The effort of the staff to that extent should not be lost in this review. Staff was great.
So what made it 3 stars? I go to spas frequently and specifically, can compare this location to that in NYC. This spa is smaller; lacks a variety of water treatments; needs updating generally (women’s locker room/​lounge and couples suite); there wasn’t even hot tea in the relaxation room; plastic type chair covers; and generally has no ‘wow’ factor. For example, it does not make use of the gorgeous Miami skyline like the rest of the hotel (or NYC location does of Central Park).i expected the opposite since generally spas in NYC can’t compete with the Miami/​Vegas/​Cal/​Arizona/​etc because of lacking facility space.
It feels as if you’re paying a hefty price tag because of the name, though this location isn’t living up the reputation of the MO brand. That brand is high luxury, WITH style… furthermore, I find it hard that management hasn’t realized this and at least attempted to compensate in some other manner with the facilities.
At this point, I would not return and in hindsight, if I had of known this, wouldn’t have booked. However, I still give 3 stars because I think with a special touch by someone who knows what they are supposed to be delivering, it could be great.

I was recently in Miami for a girls getaway. We stayed at the Mandarin and of course we had to partake of this highly rated spa. I had a facial and my two friends had massages. My facial was wonderful. It included a light peel to help alleviate some hyperpigmentation and a really soothing mask. My aesthetician, Yolanda was very well informed and made sure I was completely comfortable throughout the facial. I also had a foot massage and hand massage as a part of the experience. My skin looks and feels amazing. Everyone we encountered at the spa was warm and friendly. I give my service and the customer service 5 stars. I give my overall rating 3 stars because of the actual physical Spa. I felt like either it was missing something or I was missing something. It has a nice, small relaxation lounge. In the locker room, there are showers, a steam room and a sauna. For the Mandarin Oriental, I expected a more luxurious presentation. No spa pool, no hot tub, seemed a bit basic. You could of course use the general hotel pool and hot tub but a. That’s even small and b. With children and non spa-​ers it just kind of ruins your Zen.

What can one say that hasn’t been said but let me try. It was a stay-​cation, yes people we live where others vacation! So it is our 9 year anniversary and looking to try something different. Well after booking the couples suite I must say its a must do for anyone wanting that spa experience with a twist. Your private room awaits on the 5th floor of the spa, yes this spa has 5 floors. Once inside your private room, um that overlooks Biscayne bay, you are given the royal treatment by the best masseuse on the east coast. You have your choice of treatments and they use only the best skin care oils and lotions!
Thank you for making our stay-​cation anniversary amazing!

The lady who did my massage name started with a G, she went over exactly what I wanted and when she started I felt like I was no longer apart of the universe. Magnificent massage. Mediocre pool side service. The bartender did not have a clue how to bartend and I wanted to have a relaxing, semi intoxicated day… After dealing with him I decided against it. My advice, bring a flask.

The Spa at Mandarin is one of the best spas I’ve visited. While it may seem pricey, I feel the price is justified by the quality service and outstanding amenities.
When you walk in, you’re greeted and taken back to the spa area where you are given a robe and slippers and private locker. Definitely arrive a few hours early and bring a good book. I alternated between the steam room, sauna, and reading in the relaxation room. By the time I was ready for my facial, I was already extremely relaxed and satisfied.
I bought the Hydrafacial treatment available on the Spa Month menu, and while it wasn’t the longest or most relaxing facial, the device they used made my face soft for days. After my facial, I was able to rinse off in one of their giant rain showers, with multiple wall nozzles, light therapy and optional music. I left feeling great.
I will not hesitate to come back and pay full price.

As an avid Spa fan, I have been to many a spa in my day — from Lapis at the Fontainebleau to The Spa at the Biltmore — I’ve been to quite a few. I have to say this is one of the best thus far!
First off, their service is wonderful. Everyone from the valet people to the front desk, to the pool personnel and waiters are extremely friendly and helpful.
The view is AMAZING! Overlooking the river and all of the high rises, the Mandarin Spa is like a quiet oasis in the midst of the concrete jungle that is Brickell. The fact that they have a man made” beach” with sand and bungalows says a lot!
The Spa facilities itself are awesome. It’s dark mahogany wood is warm and inviting. The waiting area is lovely and calming and you have a variety of waters and snacks to choose from. The massage itself was perfection, They have great massage tables that are adjustable to you don’t have to be completely facing down which could make you a bit stuffy at times.
Their steam room is fantastic and their showers are large and comfortable. My only complaint was that there were only 2 showers — not enough in my opinion. My friend had to wait until I was done.
After our massages we went to the pool and had a bottle of white wine and some sushi — all delicious. Later we moved to the «beach» area for a nap and were visited by Brickell Key’s greatest residents — the Iguanas!
All in all, this is a great place for a relaxing massage. I highly recommend it. They accept Spa Finder Gift Certificates and the participant in Miami Spa Month. Our 50 minute massages were only $ 99

This place never fails. Best spa in Miami and the best massages ever. I went 2 days back to back and in heading back next week. I thoroughly take advantage of spa month especially at this destination spa because they never disappoint. I had deep tissue with Beth and Maria. I highly recommend them and absolutely love the service the front desk provides. Don’t even hesitate just book your next appointment and you will not regret it.

My treatment was a Swedish massage and Karla was fantastic! She left me feeling extremely relaxed. Some spas offer only a steam room, but they have a dry sauna as well. Another plus is that you can leave your items in the spa lockers and use the pool and jacuzzi as you please. The showers there were amazing! I had water coming at me from 5 different places! Lol. 3 shooters from the wall, the rain shower, and the shower handle. There were options of station options, lights, and water temperature. Before you leave, be sure to ask for their black plastic bag for your wet bathing suit (the paper one breaks). Service was stupendous!

Haven’t been at the Spa in awhile but not lot has changed. The spot is still a five star spa with several different options to choose from on the menu. Try the sea salt body scrub couples with a massage. Its excellent.
The amenities can be used before and after treatment and are very nice.
The shower in the men’s locker room is the Kohler system that shoots water at you from every angle including the ceiling panel and music plays in the background along with the water system. The sauna and steam room are awesome both very relaxing.
Only problem… It can be quite costly depending on the treatment, but if you are a guest at the Hotel you are treated with full use of the spa, even if you did not schedule any treatment.
Great place to unwind, enjoy.

Had such an amazing time at this spa! My boyfriend and I went for spa month and we both enjoyed every aspect of the spa from our massages to the relaxation area to the steam room and amazing shower. My therapist was so nice and made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. By far my favorite part was the relaxation area. The only bad thing was that there are no gender neutral areas, everything was separate. But other than that we had a wonderful time and would go back.

I love going to spas and I’m always trying different places in different cities. Since I live in Miami, the Miami Spa Month is a must for me to try different places and I’m glad that I went to the Spa at Mandarin hotel.
Starting with the valet service: the guys were very helpful and provided a great service explaining me how to get to the spa. Even better: with the spa validation it was free.
Their service is superb. While you are waiting for your check-​in, they give you a cold tea and a cold towel and the forms to be completed so they are informed if you are allergic to something. One of the questions is your birthday. Then, the lady brings some slippers for you and she asks if the size is ok. You give her your shoes, so not contaminated shoes get into the spa, exactly like the Japanese culture.
After that, the lady gives you a tour of their facilities. Everything is so beautiful and zen.
I had a relaxing massage and it was spectacular. The room was beautiful and the service outstanding.
My only complaint: the facilities are not so big. They have a sauna, steam room, a sensory shower and a regular shower. Good, but not enough to spend a few hours relaxing.
At the end, when I was checking out because it was my birthday month, they gave a card and a beautiful box with two delicious chocolates.
In general, an amazing experience and highly recommended.

I love the Mandarin Oriental hotel chain. I’ve stayed in many of their properties, and, used many of their spas. The Miami spa is probably the best in Miami if you want a relaxing massage, and for deep tissue its really great (Ask for Mari!!). I give it a four stars because while the service, massage and atmosphere is great. there is sometimes noise issues (once construction, once just general racket, etc.) You can tell the therapists notice too because they turn up the music. It’s just a little too close to the action for a spa.

Love this spa. They are extremely comforting and attentive to detail. After a day of partying and hanging on the beach, there is nothing like hitting the spa for a nice Thai massage. if you are in Miami, please make it a point to visit this spa. They valet the car, greet you with Tea and also send you on your way with a glass of bubbly.
Everyone deserves to have this treatment at least once in their life.

The SPA was ambiances was calm and relaxing. From the staff to the service it was impeccable. The best i had in a long time since moving to Miami.
My only gripe was that my facial treatment room was outside in the spa lobby and i could hear everything in the spa lobby. It was not really relaxing at all so i’m taking half a star off for that. But my facial specialist did her best to keep me relax. I think she knew i was uncomfortable with the noise.
The spa is expensive but worth every penny in my thought. I have not yet tried there massage but my best friend said it was good.

I have chronic back pain due to several issues I won’t be getting into, so when my husband schedules these massages for me on special occasions, he knows he’s giving me exactly what I want and NEED.
With that being said, although my favorite spa for a complete spa day continues to be the Biltmore (there’s just something about it that is special), the Mandarin Spa, BY FAR, has the best therapist I have ever experienced! Her name is Liz. She has been a massage therapist for over 20 years and you can tell she KNOWS what she’s doing.
After having a conversation with you about your medical history, she has you choose what oils you want to be used on you, as well as the parts of your body you want her to focus on, and the amount of pressure you want. Then, she goes to town! So many other therapists just do pressure points without actually warming up the muscle enough first. Liz does the complete opposite. My massage was 55 minutes and I could have been there for 55 more. Her massage was extremely effective and I felt relief the entire day.
The facility is definitely a wonderful place. The hotel ambiance is as serene as you get, with beautiful, clean, minimalistic design, where all the senses are taken into account. From the beautiful views, the peaceful sounds of water falling, and incredible aromas, you feel like you’re in heaven from the moment you walk in. However, what made this spa the BEST in my opinion was what I actually came for, which was the BEST MASSAGE OF MY LIFE! It is expensive, but completely worth every penny! If you are considering doing something amazing for yourself (which us moms often forget to do), schedule a massage with Liz!

This is one minute away from our condo so my fiancé booked a couples massage on Valentine’s Day for us which came with champagne and a view over the water (indoors). It was really nice the way the couples room was set up but I didn’t feel the massage was comparable to the price that he paid. We both weren’t WOW-​ed. The champagne was a nice touch. Good luck getting out of here as in the evening it is almost impossible to get your car from the valet. We gave the valet our ticket and 20 minutes later (mind you it’s Valentine’s Day and people have further plans) the same valet attendant asked if he could help us! There was a manager who saw us waiting and said nothing. We then were outraged and told the valet attendant that he had already taken our ticket! He then ran to get our car and the manager could see that we were flustered but said nothing.
No wonder this hotel went from 5 stars to 4 stars!
As far as the massage goes, I don’t personally feel that it was worth the money but we did arrive late (when we parked the car, checked in, waited for them to get us, etc…) so maybe they were rushing a little bit? Still, I don’t think we’d ever return here for a massage.
