Absolutely loved the staff there. I arrived an hour before my actual appointment time and was seen right away(about a 5 minute wait) Gigi is awesome, she will make sure that she meets all your comfort needs during and after your MRI.

The staff was very nice, but the wait was very long. I noted the other reviewer said they were in and out within an hour — it was three hours for me. Also, the MRI machine I was put into was closed, and BEWARE if you are claustrophobic — it is extremely tight. My last few MRIs were in an open MRI facility and that was much better. It was a rather anxious experience in that closed machine. Additionally, the headphones with music, while I appreciated it, were not terribly functional. The music didn’t even play half the time, and when it did, it was so quiet that I couldn’t hear it over the sounds of the machine. It was an okay experience, but I do wish I’d gone to an open MRI place instead.

This place doesn’t get 5 stars because no one told me about the free parking available in the front of the building when I called to schedule my MRI and because the carpeting in the waiting room smells really old and mildewy. They have free parking available for patients right in front of the building, and there is also valet parking($ 8 for patients) in front of the UM Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center building, which is right across from the MRI Center. The staff is really nice and friendly. They’ve probably had quite a few people freak out during their MRIs– so they’re really nice about repeatedly telling you that it is VERY loud and that the space is VERY confined. And then they play music in your headphones to help you relax during your half hour of crazy loud sounds. They seem to be really good about keeping appointment times. I arrived half an hour before my appointment, like they asked me to, and I was out of there within an hour.
