Always great food ever since I could remember. I have a regular set of items I order from. Never really tried anything new. It’s either Portuguese fried rice. Chicken eggplant. Pork watercress soup. fried saimin. Yup that’s all I get. Gets kinda pricy if you want it all but don’t have anyone to share it with. Got their number by memorized by heart so I always call my order in and it’s always ready when I get there.

One of The Classy Waiters a there is Jeff.
He is Always Friendly Knowledgeable and Fast.

The fish on the fish and chips is alright. The regular fish & chips nets your two large pieces of beer batter deep fried white fish, mac or tossed salad, a bed of thin cut prev. frozen fries, and tartar sauce. The fries are terrible. The mac salad is alright, so is the tartar sauce. The best thing about the meal is the size. The flavor of the fish is alright, other than the size, nothing special.
The beef stew was not good. It tasted like the beef was stewed in one pot and the carrots, potatoes, celery, & onions were boiled in another pot. They also give their carrots and potatoes a scalloped cut. Wish they would spend more time creating a stew instead of trying to make their root veg. «fancy».
Other irritating thing, Mililani Restaurant seems to nickle and dime you for everything, which is surprising since their portions are so huge. You fill your own soda, BUT refills are $ 0.52 each! You want some mayo on the side, that’s $ 0.58!

I absolutely love the noodles from here. I come here just for noodles! I tried the chicken katsu and the crispy won-​ton, its ok. However you can’t go wrong with the noodles!

Mililani Restaurant is my five-year-old’s favorite plate lunch spot. He is in love with their «crispy chicken with the sauce» aka mochiko chicken. Mochiko chicken is hit or miss because sometimes they can be over battered or oil drenched. MR does it JUST right. It is topped with a sesame teriyaki sauce which he absolutely LOVES.
I recently ordered a tray of rice because I needed to make about 30 spam musubis. Instead of using my own rice and cooker, I ordered a full pan of white rice, which set me back a mere $ 19.99 + tax. I called it in for 7:30 PM but was ahead of schedule (for once) and arrived about half an hour early. Most places would make a big deal about being there early, but the staff here was very accommodating. I didn’t wait longer than about five minutes. Overall this restaurant provides good quality local plate lunches with large portions at great prices.
Their house fried saimin and fried udon are my favorite, and the eggplant tempura is unlike any other!

I hadn’t been here for a while because the last time I came, I ordered a mini beef cutlet. For the prices they’re charging, I would expect sliced beef with a coating and fried. I got frozen pre made beef patties (like the pre made veal cutlets we used to get in high school). Bad vibes. I ordered a mini beef stew tonight as I’ve had that before and it’s been pretty decent. Well, I guess it was closer to closing (maybe 7:30ish and they close at 8:30) and I must have gotten the bottom of the pot. 4 – 5 carrots, a small potato piece, some celery, lots of «gravy» and maybe one or two pieces of beef and a whole lot of mush.
Oh, they also charge extra for brown rice (which I think is hogwash), fried rice (which I can understand) but what made me do a double take is that now (because of the increase in the price of beef), they have a SURCHARGE if you order certain beef dishes. Surcharge depends on what you order.
Not going back for a long time.

Forgot the reason why I haven’t been back for many years until tonight. Ordered my food via telephone and no proper etiquette at all from the guy on the other end «okay»…“okay”. strike one. Went inside to pick up my food and the customer service was even horrible! Strike two and three. I guess they fail to understand the customer buys food from there hence putting revenue into the business in turn they receive a pay check. Ugh, yup!
If the owner of this business reads this, you really need to put your employees in check, all of them including the old timers, and inform them (and yourself) that they need to treat their customers with respect and kindness and not as if we are bothering them… really! Customer service can make or break a company or business. Since there are more places to chose from, take that and make a note of it and act on it! I’ll never eat there again and support a business that treats their customers the way your employees do!!!

The fry rice plates are the bomb. Eggplant plates are always good. A lot to choose from. The food is always made to order so its nice and hot. Customer service is fast and friendly. Been coming here for years.

Decided to give Mililani Restaurant another try. Wanted to get the turkey special, but it was discontinued. Got the pork adobo special. A little pricey, but large portions. It was so Ono… Flavored just right.. Like Arnold says, «I’ll be back».

I used to get the chicken katsu regularly a few years ago. Went the other day and ordered a plate. Good amount of chicken, rice, mac salad, and katsu sauce. Taste wasn’t the same as I remembered. Probably not coming back for it again for awhile.

Used to love their Portuguese sausage fried rice so I was excited to be in the area. Sadly, the rice wasn’t as good as I remember. Perhaps they changed the brand of Portuguese sausage they use? The portion is still huge and I like that it comes with 2 eggs any style but was still disappointed in my fried rice. Guess I won’t be coming here anymore being that the fried rice is the only thing I eat here :(

Food isn’t very good. If you like quantity better than quality this is the place for you! Ate here numerous amount of times and always regretted it, like a night of heavy drinking! The final straw is when i got fried rice for my husband and the rice was spoiled!

This resturant is located in Mililani. You will find the shack and foodland next door. Also within that shopping area, located is 24 hour fitness. I use to come here with my family whenever we were down Mililani side. I use to love eating their beef fried rice. The portion is a good plate lunch size where you will need to share with someone else or you have enough to take home for later. Nothing can go wrong with their fired rice.
Another time I came here I had the meatballs. Didn’t really care to much for this because it was a little bland that day. Another time I came I wanted to try the noodles. They adversities it every where and it looks very good. So why not give it a try. We can on a Sunday around 10:00ish. When I got my noodles, the portion was big. There was no way I could finish it all by myself. When I took the first bite, the temperature was a little warm/​cold. Not to sure if they cooked a big batch of noddles before my order and took it from there. Because when I got my order it was kind of fast. I wish I could have gotten a hot batch of food. The taste was a little bland. I had to put some tobacco on it.
Overall I just come here for the fried rice!!!

I love this place! Ever since i was a kid and first moved here. Love how big their portions are. Of course, their menu is huge. But I stick to my favorites here. Their shoyu chicken is AMAZING. It’s not like a typical shoyu chicken, but the meat is so tender and the sauce is so good. They are also very fast at making the food and I swear, a single plate can feed probably two people. It’s THAT huge. Good bang for the buck! Stay awesome, Mililani Restaurant!
Oh by the way they changed their policy, it’s over $ 11 to do debit. Bring cash. Or order for two and you’re good to go.

Growing up around here, I never gave much thought to this spot amongst the many local favorites but when a friend and fellow Unilocaler insisted we stop here, I gave it another try.
Dude! Noodles, noodles, noodles — how can you compete with a place that makes their own noodles?! It was so good! Now when you order here, plan ahead — cause one plate will likely last you for 2 – 3 meals. No joke. We ordered bbq chicken and fried noodle plate… it was a MOUNTAIN of deliciousness!
As we sat and ate, I noticed almost everyone was ordering some kind of noodle dish. And there was an extensive amount of catering & takeout trays heading out the door too! Super fast, delicious and cost effective too. Winnahs!

Workers are awesome, and so on it. Order is always fast and they give a lot. My husband and I always split a plate with enough to eat later too. Put it this way, the serving is enough to get a growing teenage boy full. Our usual is the chicken katsu, sometimes the katsu is over fried and very dry, like hard to swallow, and sometimes, the rice is dry too. But most of the time, it’s prepared to our liking, the katsu sauce is just the way we like it. My son’s usual is the fried saimin, which I think is enough to feed 4 or to feed my son. I also love their jello cream cheese square, or actually a giant square.
A friend of mine, made a 1^st birthday party for almost 300 people. Apparently the caters got the date mixed up, she had to scramble for food and Mililani Restaurant came to her rescue without any problems they cooked everything up fresh and plenty!
Mililani Restaurant is located next door to Foodland Mililani, or close to The Shack. Depending on when you are there, parking can be a challenge.

[Location & Parking]
Mililani Restaurant is located in the Mililani Shopping Center. Parking is free however it can get busy at times during lunch/​evening hours due to people eating out, going to the gym (24 hour fitness), or going groccery shopping.
[Interior & Ambience]
Inside it looks like your typical plate lunch restaurent with booths. It can be noisy at times because you can hear the kitchen staff cook and converse. The dining area is also near the cashier counter so you can hear the phones ringing.
[Service]
I’ve never dined here. I’ve always done phone orders. If you order by phone, they have a separate line for you to stand to pay so you’re usually helped immediately. Another plus, is when you make large orders they give you a box to carry your order and they help you carry your items to your car.
[Food]
I always order their fried saimin noodles ($ 8). To me, they have the best tasting fried noodles on the island! It tastes even better when you drizzle the shoyu mustard sauce over it.
[Overall]
I’d travel across the island to get a bite of their delicious fried saimin noodles ;)

Fish and chips were the bomb diggity, but i’m not sure what happened with the chicken katsu. The service is always good, but consistency seem to be an issue. The fried noodles are also really yummy, and it’s a huge serving.
I keep coming back to the Katsu, which is why I only gave 3 instead of 4 stars. There was a time that the Katsu was really yummy and juicy with a nice crunch, but that’s not what we got this time, which is disappointing because that means there is a consistency issue, like food roulette, which is no bueno.
Definitely loved the fish and chips though, so we’ll continue to come back for that and the noodles.

Hmm. I didn’t realize this was the place with the television commercial until I went inside and saw their cups and recognized their logo. Irrelevant to coming review, but just a comment.
I didn’t really expect much when my boss and I came here for a lunch break. I mean it looks old from the outside, and the menu really needs a refresher. It looks like it’s been that way since they opened. I know they’re a staple in the community or whatever but I really didn’t enjoy my experience here.
When we walked in, one person said hello, and the other cashier didn’t really look at us. We were still deciding what to order on the menu so we let a couple people go in front of us, but when we went up to order, the woman wasn’t very friendly. I didn’t get a good vibe, there was no smiling, no pleasantness apparent. My boss asked if they had a mini size for their fried saimin that they’re *famous* for, and she said «No. Only one size.» Stern and almost angrily… I’m over here thinking, «Ooookay. That was totally a normal question.»
I should have known from the picture on the menu that the chicken katsu was not going to be chicken katsu. I opened my mini plate, and there was one scoop of rice, a container of katsu sauce, and a mound of… lemon chicken? Without the lemon sauce? What the… where’s the panko flakes? What is this, amateur hour?! You can’t just fry chicken, throw some katsu sauce in there and call it chicken katsu! Has no one ever corrected them? Are you serious right now? Such disappointment. If I wanted bland, fried chicken, I would have ordered bland, fried chicken. No. Just… no.
My boss ordered the «Mini Meatballs» and he said the meatballs tasted like the frozen ones you buy at Costco. LOL.
The food came out rather quickly, but it wasn’t great. Staff doesn’t seem to care about customers, and aren’t nice or friendly, and I just felt uncomfortable in there. Idk, probably won’t ever be going back. Not that they would care.
