Sausalito Limousines

We hired a Rolls Royce from Sausalito Limos for our wedding exit from Landmarks Art & Garden Center and thought it was the perfect magical ending to our wedding.
Landmarks recommends Sausalito Limos so my husband and I called them several times asking about options and pricing. (We were also thinking about using them for transportation for our guests but the pricing wouldn’t have been worth it since the limo would have had to sit at the venue for the entire wedding). The representative helped us think through it and, despite a few negative reviews here, we hired them. We also communicated with them a few days before the wedding just to make sure we had the reservation with the correct timing.
On the day of, the driver came right on time. As we were driving to the hotel (which was only 10 minutes away), we asked him if we could have a little drive of the area since we had to reserve the limo for 2 hours. The driver — an Italian man whose name I can’t remember — was most accommodating and took us all over Marin County, describing the history and culture of each place, and stopping at several romantic spots (right next to the Golden Gate Bridge, at a marina, and at a secluded beach way up north). He wasn’t in a hurry and although he guided us throughout the drive, he also gave us time to be together. He even popped open some champagne for us as we enjoyed some of the leftover dessert that our caterer provided.
After the highs of the wedding and both being tired from the preparation for it, being able to go on a romantic drive around Marin County together really topped off the evening for us. Thank you to Sausalito Limo and particularly to our driver.

We are torn about this review. On the wedding day in Tiburon, the service was impeccable. Up until that point, well. Sal returned our emails very promptly and kindly up until the point when we signed the contract. Then, he disappeared. He even put us in our place for daring to contact him 1 month before the wedding to straighten up some details.
He told us he would contact us 2 weeks before the wedding to settle everything. Well, WE had to call 4 days before the wedding to find out that he had already charged our credit card (without talking about the details or the extra time that we did not need) and never called us.
We complained and then he was very friendly but, up until the wedding, we were not sure he was going to show up. This whole situation created A LOT of unecessary stress when the service performed was excellent. So, maybe it was a personality issue? Who knows?

These guys are crazy — avoid at all costs.

Just to prove my point as to why I gave it such a low rating: In my originial post/​yelp review dated May 23, 2012, I included my communication with the Sausalito Limo and their ENTIRE response to my communications with them.
The next day May 24^th 2012 I continued to break down their response (almost) line by line and responded with my own comments — again LINE by LINE.
Nearly half a year later, «they» respond to my review by printing out the exact email/​communication that I had already FULLY POSTED posted, … OBVIOUSLY THEY DIDN’T BOTHER TO READ THE REVIEW… if they had, they would of realized I had already posted their response in its entirety and based my whole review on it. DANGER: Would you want to deal with someone who doesnt fully pay attention to you? especially for a special occasion and especially if you’re paying good money for it!
They are really good at sweet talking you into thinking you’re going to be treated so well BUT — THEY’RE LIKE THE SIRENS OF GREEK MYTHOLOGY, ATTRACTING YOU WITH THEIR SWEET WORDS/“SONGS” BUT ULTIMATLY LEADING YOU TO YOUR DEMISE /​DISASTER OF A SERVICE.

We booked Sausalito Limousines for our wedding at Old St. Hilary’s Church in Tiburon and were very impressed with their service. They provided 2 limousines to transport our guests to and from the ceremony and reception in downtown Tiburon and they didn’t miss a beat. The limousines were in great condition with excellent and professional drivers to match. Our guests commented on their friendly service and said it was a joy to be chauferred around the town. Thank you to Sal and the guys from Sausalito Limousines. We would highly recommend your service to anyone looking for limo services in the SF bay area.

im glad that Cheryl R. Had a good experience as she seems to be the only one. Despite continued communication on my part (definitely not theirs) they failed miserably in picking me up for my event and as a result had to catch a ride thus arriving late. After complaining, i received an insencere ‘sorry’ followed by ‘it’s not our fault’ and the all cliché ’ we have over 20 years of experience’. As a result they never claimed responsability or even put an effort to repair the situation. They are unprofessional, lack in customer service and customer care and need to get their head out of their behind with the 20 years experience as that is not necessarily an indication for quality, professionalism, or know how. Oh, thank you for taking my money and overcharging for half an hour.

I booked these guys a year in advance. A few days before my wedding Sal told me they had a «better» deal with another couple and wanted to change my car from the roll Royce to a limo for me, (the bride) and in turn he would give me a better «deal». I told him no. I should not have been having the conversation a few days before my wedding after booking him a year in advance.
When I booked them, Sal told me that even though the pick up location had not been decided (it was a year in advance), I could put down my hotel and change it later. Sal was sent many vendor timelines stating explicit detail where, who and when people should be picked up. On the morning of my wedding, my groom had to hitch a ride to the ceremony as the limo for him and the family didn’t turn up and family members had to try and grab taxi’s in SF on a SATURDAY… we all know how crazy that it is. This in turn impacted my grooms photo shoot session with his groomsmen as he was late to his own wedding and didn’t not have time for it; an opportunity which we will never get again. If it wasn’t for my awesome photographer from Sarah Maren Photography, I would have rode in the rolls by myself without my father due to Sals laziness.
My coordinator tried to contact Sal numerous times on my wedding day asking for the drivers cell number to ensure I was dropped off at the proper entrance so my groom would not see me. Sal told my coordinator that that information would only be given on the day of. When she tried to get a hold of him on the day, he blew her off and didn’t give him my drivers number therefore my groom almost saw me before the wedding.
We also were not offered any beverages and so we should have been able to take the wine with us since we paid for it and never drank it.
When we contacted Sal regarding all of this he blew us off and said that he didn’t receive any emails or timelines from my coordinator. He is a liar. We used his services the day after the wedding and went overtime 30 minutes to which he charged us even after all of what happened on our wedding day. This company is only interested in money. They are lazy and do not care. I will never use them again.

11 111 212 012: Sal, yes you did correspond with my husband after the fact to which your response was «it was not your fault» — you «accommodated» because you were available and we paid extra. I do recall at time of booking (a year in advance) that i told you the place of pick up was not set and would be updated with my coordinator which it was shared to you repeatedly before the wedding. We are very unhappy with your service and will never recommend you.

This was a simply amazing experience, start to finish. If you are looking to rent a limo, you will get the most amazing service from these guys. So, what made it so great? I dealt with Sal, the dispatcher. He was so helpful. We had a last minute time and location change… it was handled flawlessly. The limo showed up a bit early so we could go over our plan. The limo was incredibly impressive… immaculately clean, completely stocked with beverages and snacks, and even had a bouquet of fresh flowers. The driver, Rob, was probably as perfect a limo driver as one could get. It was a fabulously memorable evening… and I give the credit for that to Sausalito Limousines. These guys were GREAT!
