Millbrae 76

I don’t always rate gas stations but I have to give these guys props for having good prices. No matter what anyone says there are many gas stations that seem to crank up the prices and although most people in the bay area seem to put up with it, its still wrong.
The fact that one station can be so much cheaper while another one across the street or down the block can be 40 cents more across the board tells me there is a lot more flexibility in how they charge than what they claim when the news talks to them.
Anyway this station has consistently lower prices, friendly staff, access to bathrooms without begging for a key attached to a hanger or some nasty PVC.
Its also a service station with a good reputation for auto repairs.

Anytime you need a mechanic you know it’s going to cost you money. But taking my car here I never feel taken advantage of. Deborah is awesome and manages their busy schedule very well. The mechanics are very knowledgeable and friendly. I like that they hire mechanics who have gone through the excellent Skyline College automotive program. They always take the time to explain clearly what your car needs to repair and help you with any options you might have. I highly recommend them for any automotive service.

Always a great attitude in helping out people in need of a fix. Always willing to help, no matter what. Him and his team are great at communicating what’s going on and the best way to fix it at a reasonable price. I would definitely go back!

Called first to see if they had any time to do my oil change. They were fast, although they were busy they got it done in less than 3 hours. Wayyyy faster than actually taking it to Chevy and having them keep it all day! Will be back next time.

first time customer they gave great service and were very honest, oil change and inspection was well worth the price, as a complete vehicle check was made this will be my place to service my cars from now on.

These guys are so real and honest with their business. They’ve been accomidating to my busy schedule on multiple occassions when i was trying to schedule appointments, coming in on days off and what not. They also do their work with efficiency, once i brought my mini cooper here and had a tube that was old and cracked pretty bad leaking fluid everywhere. it was super hard to get to because how these euro cars are built. With ease they figured it out and helped me cut costs on replacement parts. Also shout out to rob and dhebora. They are some of the best people here lol.

I came here to get my smog checked and it was fast and easy. There was no wait at the time I rolled in, was assisted very quickly and done in less than half an hour.
I have to say I was intimidated going solo without my husband, but was quickly put to ease as Deborah made the experience less intimidating. She is awesome! I believe I met the service mgr (sorry, can’t remember his name) but he was just as friendly!
They are a full service shop and I plan to take all my service needs here based on their great customer service!

Great customer service, always quick and easy when I bring my car in. Definitely faster than other shops I’ve went to. They don’t try and sell you anything you don’t need which is also nice. They take very good care of your car as well. Never had any issues or problems. Would definitely recommend coming here if you need a oil change, new tires, etc. !

This is such a disappointing review to write because i thought i had finally found an honest and reasonable place to bring my vehicles to since the automotive industry seems to be so sketchy to begin with. First time I brought my car in was a year ago for a fuel pump issue, The service was great, Debbhie is an outstanding person and is very fair. however this year my car broke down with a bigger problem which they were unsure of what it was. (that ranged from changing my battery to my valves blown to loose bearings in my camshaft… whoa.) regardless i was advised to pretty much get a new car. when i went to go pick up my car the following day after it had been there all week i noticed black smudging on the car. i went and wiped off one side but since i had my 6 month old baby with me i didn’t bother with the other side and i felt this shop was worth trusting since Debbhie was so personable. WRONG. when we got the car home my car had been hit and a big chunk of pain was missing along with the black smudging as if my car had been scraped against something on my driver side fender. as you can imagine being upset since not only did they not fix my car there is more damage on it than what it came in for, i called the manager Rob who pretty much told me to prove it. completely in shock at what he had told me i insisted that it was not there before and that was my proof (although lesson learned for me i will now be taking pictures of my car before i bring it anywhere. gold help us if that’s how shitty the world has gotten) so then he asked me to bring the car down to take a look. since i work full time i had my fiancé bring my car in for him to look at. from what i was told by my fiancé who just left his shop he wiped off the smudged told me to grab some touch up paint for him to put on the fender (um aren’t you a mechanic. not a painter?) and that if he fixed every scratch that happened on his lot then he would be out of business. WOW. apparently The Bureau of Automotive Repair needs to talk to this guy. smh. on top of now finding another shop to take my car to i’m gonna be dealing with the complaint of the BAR. but after Rob’s response i dont think i mind putting that complaint in. Way to treat your loyal customers Milbrae 76!

Where’s the 0 star option?
Told the attendants I’m trying to catch the 10 pm cal train. It’s 950 and they tell me to wait 2 min. 5 min passes and they tell me better luck next time.
Those two guys at 10 pm on 10÷20÷15 are useless and need help with their social skills.

Came here yesterday to get my smog checked since I recently moved back to CA.
Fast and easy. Just a short wait. No problems.
If you’re looking for a smog check station. I highly recommend.

An extremely disturbing situation happened today at the 76 gas station.
I manually pumped $ 8 on pump #5, and then drove away.
Just 10 minutes later after checking my bank account balance,
I FLEW back immediately to the 76 to complain that my account details showed a pending transaction of $ 29.38 from the 76 gas station. I was furious because there clearly was a mistake seeing as I pumped $ 8 in to my tank and not $ 29.38. The cashier explained that it was not a mistake, but just something banks do, and in the next few days the remainding $ 21.38 would return. What’s wrong with this picture?
CLEARLY, there is something wrong with the system at 76, and it’s horrible that the rest of my money in my bank account is untouchable due to their unusual policies of witholding extra money upon what your purchase is.
I’m never going back here again. I sure do hope the owner of this repulsive business replies with more valuable information regarding their negligent system.

Had our ’96 GMC van here for a tune up and brakes. They took care of us and have always been happy to help if anything is wrong with our aging van. They show the old parts to you after being replaced and have put us before others when we are in a bind. Thanks for great service. *UPDATE* Millbrae 76 comes through again! Mass airflo sensor went out on the van and they got the part in 15 mins. Back on the road.

So I knew I needed to get an oil change. Deborah at the front desk was very helpful. Always so hesitant to go get car worked on because I have no knowledge with cars.
I found out my roller needs to be replaced, my transmission fluid needs to get flushed and I have a nail on my tire. Luckily rob explained things to me in layman terms.
I have no choice but to get it fixed. Rob is also going to fix my tire. Yay!
Will definitely come back here. First check in gets you a 5% discount.
Deborah was also amazingly helpful.

I needed to Smog my car. I was trying to find a place that was open at 8 since I had to be at work by 9.
Until my service was done here and they gave me a business card and receipt, I didn’t notice I came to the wrong 76 that I thought opened at 8 instead of 8:30.
Turned into the «right 76» after the great service Rob gave me. I asked this guy, who was Rob, «I thought you guys opened at 8. That’s what it said on Unilocal.I needed a smog :(«. He told me 8:30 and his smog tech doesn’t get in until 13:00. Ugh, just my luck. Then he said, well let me check if my machine is up. It was, and just out of the kindness of his heart, he did my smog for me in about 20 – 25 minutes, right then and there! Plus I made it to work on time.
I understand this was a special case, and he pushed back stuff he needed to do in the AM to help me out, but I greatly appreciate it! Thanks Rob!

This place is a REAL DEAL! Reffering to auto service. I’ve been working on my car for a months trying to figure out whats making my car not running, been to several shops including dealership. I got couple of mechanic friends thats trying to work on my car too… And they still cannot figure out” they told me to come to this place and let them diagnose my car. First of all i dont wanna go to auto shops cuz im on a «BUDGET» i dont wanna pay too much, thats why im figuring it out my self. I know how how to work on cars too! I usually do it my self. But this guys is really nice, they gave me a good deal they let my car stayed with them for couple days to diagnose it.
I was scared that they might charge me so much” cuz dealership asking for $ 140 for a quick diagnose! Thats why i took my car out right away… And this guys (reffering to 76 auto service) they been communicating with me the whole «time» while they working with my car for 2 days. They waived off my diagnose fee plus they checked my alignment for free! Their cheap but 5 star service.
I’ve been a customer of firestone for 5 YRS!!! And i was never been treated like this. So i highly recommend this shop to anyone.

This is an overdue review for Millbrae 76. Rob and his crew are top notch! The services is quick, affordable, efficient and customer service is excellent. They also got the top of the line alignment machine, which i had my rx7 aligned because it was drifting to the right. It was a rainy day and they offered me a ride to my work and picked me up when my car was done. WOW!

This review is long overdue. This shop has got to be the best place for serious mechanical work. I’ve been here many many times. Roy, the service manager is very nice to work with and is very knowledgeable. They will not overcharge since their charges are based on preset rates listed in their book for rates on different jobs. I’ve had two timing belts changed on two different cars, entire set of brakes and rotors changed, and various fluid changed here. Their work was always outstanding. Especially for timing belt work. They actually torque everything according to specs with a torque wrench just like the dealers. I saved so much money coming here instead to going to the Lexus dealer. The sad thing is that I cannot find a shop in New York City that is half as good. Keep up the good work Roy and the crew. Will miss the quality work that you guys do.

Do not go here for anything auto related besides getting gas. Dishonest people. Never consistent. Do not do your smog checks here either.
