Tim is AWESOME! He stayed open late so that I could pick up some ski rentals after work. Even when I arrived after he had closed, Tim took the time to help me find a comfortable pair of ski boots.

Came in on a Sunday, didn’t need any rentals until Thursday night… we needed snow gear. gloves pants jackets boots… the owner was the most helpful person I’ve ever met he let us take everything early without charging us extra… I experienced the best customer service with him very attentive and patient

Tim is great to work with! He got everything I needed for my ski trip (snowboard, boots, googles, helmet) and the price was the cheapest (compared to Sports Basement and resort rentals). He and Joe were very attentive and patient even though the store was packed. I can tell he’s a local favorite, everyone seemed to be long time customers. The whole experience was just wonderful, thank you Tim and Joe. We will be back~

Tim has always been awesome to work with. I’ve been going to him for the past 6 years. I bought my boots, goggles, and pants from him. He always try to gives a good deal and will be honest with you. After getting my gear, I use him to wax my board before the season starts. For novices, he’s a great resource to help you get fitted with what you need. For more experienced athletes, he’s a fun guy to swap stories with while picking out new equipment.

Needed to get bindings installed on a new set of skis. Tim was happy to help and was able to turn around the skis in one day. I can’t comment on the rentals or products he carries in the store, but I’d come back here for service again.

Highly recommend this place! So far one of the best places I had tried for services. Tim definitely one of the best, he always made my skis feels like new, fixing all dents and core shots.

I was in need of a quick wax and Tim pulled through. I showed up probably 30 minutes before closing the day before I was supposed to leave on my trip. He doesn’t actually have a machine wax so it does take some effort to apply the wax. For some reason I thought he wouldn’t be busy so I could show up so late without a prior appointment. He was pretty busy but he said that he would be able to do the job. He told me to come back in half an hour. Came back, picked up my board, and went home. Easy, and my board looked beautiful. I’m always down to support local shops. I suggest you do the same, this guy knows what he’s doing.

What a pleasant rental experience. First off Tim and Joe were extremely friendly and helpful right when my girl and I walked through the door. I haven’t been snowboarding in a few years, actually it’s been five years. Everything that I own besides my board are packed away in a storage unit. So I was without boots, pants and jacket (honestly though I have packed on quite some weight so my clothing probably doesn’t even fit anymore). Tim had me setup in a matter of minutes with everything I would need. Pants/​bib, snowboard boots and jacket all for $ 36 for three day/​weekend rental. I was floored and couldn’t believe how inexpensive it was, and the gear isn’t crap either! Next time I need anything regarding my snow equipment this will be my first, last and only stop! Tim and Joe, if you read this I can’t thank you enough for the help today!

Not only did Tim have a set of youth skis that we searched the whole peninsula for, but he welcomed us into his store when closed. Amazing service and an amazing guy. Found our go to shop!

I took my snowboard here for a tuneup after practically destroying it on rocks, and the improvement on the board was unbelievable! Tim was very friendly, and the price was really fair. I will definitely go here every time I need service.

I cannot say enough nice things about this place. Seriously the best customer service I have ever experienced. I bought a full set of skis and boots here and the boots never really fit well. Tim allowed me to switch them out TWICE and even gave me some skiing tips about my form. If you are thinking of renting, buying, even getting those skis/​boards waxed; this is THE place to go. Remember to call beforehand to get his hours.

We have been rented here several times a season for many years. The service is exceptional, the selection of equipment and prices are reasonable. They have also been very accommodating on the pick up and drop off days.

When my old ski boots started to feel too tight, I shopped around in Tahoe a bit but didn’t feel like paying $ 300+ for new ones, so I tried this little place near home.
True to the Unilocal reviews I had fantastic experience. The owner pointed it out right away that he could simply adjust the bindings (for FREE) instead of selling me new boots. I decided to trade in my old one for a nearly new pair he has on sale anyway. And he gave me an extra $ 25 discount without prompting!
Wow, what kind of businessman is this? Felt like this place exists only to help skiers/​snowboarders with their equipment instead of selling stuff. I also noted the very reasonable equipment rental price. Consider the level of personal service and condition of equipment here, I’ll definitely rent here for my out-​of-​town visitors before heading out to Tahoe.

Tim is a great guy and terrific ski mechanic. I trust him to tune up my gear and do my binding/​ski mounts. This is a small shop, but with the best service anywhere. You can trust Tim. I wouldn’t think of having any other place do my ski work.

Tim is the epitome of a great business man. I want to be like him when I grown up, really I do. So two winter seasons ago, I wrecked my board (it wasn’t my fault, skier ran into me, I’m okay thanks for asking, no major injuries). My board was clipped by her skies which damaged my board which put me out of commission for the rest of the season. A moderate — sized steel piece had flipped up near the edge. Great as a defense mechanism.
This January, I brought my board to Tim and he fixed it up in no time, I needed it the week of and he finished it in a couple days. It was polished, smooth as a baby’s bottom and had a nice finished poxy over the once damaged area. It was also waxed for the first time for a small fee. Tim is attentive and is genuinely concerned about your needs. He cares! He really really cares! The turnaround time is short and quality, fantastic.
That week, I brought in five friends to rent equipment from his store and the transaction was seamless and experience quick and simple. Great little shop to attend to all your snow slope needs. Great inventory at a very decent price. Will visit again. TIM– YOU’RE RAD!

The owner Tim is very hands on. He’s been doing this for decades. Service is attentive and the equipment is up to date. He doesn’t charge for travel days. You need to go early since he’s very popular and easy to deal with.
Tim rents skis, snow boards and other ski accessories. All up to date. He tunes and sizes each piece of equipment before you walk out with it. I never had a problem with his equipment.
Ample parking at the city lot between La Cruz and Victoria.

Tim is awesome and super helpful. This is the real place to buy and service skis/​snowboard unlike the big box store where they only want your money.

I went in there with no idea about snowboarding and I was out and happy in 15min.
