My daughter went in for her 1^st class few weeks ago. The instructor and owner, Peter, was a very nice guy. He did not allow parents to stay in while class started. I fully understand and respect that. However, it was my daughter’s 1^st class, first 5 minutes in class, new environment, and Peter simply said, «just leave her here for 2 hours and come pick her up! I have many students who wants to come to my school. If your daughter likes it, she stays. If she is not ready, you can bring her back when both of you are ready. I’ve been teaching art for many years. My wife teaches piano. I am never worried with lack of students attending.» As my daughter was eager to learn and attend an art school, I left her there for her 1^st 2 hrs class. During that 2 hrs, I thought… Hmm… Something did not feel right. What was missing from Peter’s introduction was, if I just met you as an owner and instructor for 5 minutes and is expected to leave my kid here for 2 hours class session, why wasn’t I asked to fill out an IN CASE OF EMERGENCY card? Why was I not even asked for my NAME as the parent? Not even a CELL Phone number? That just did not sound right. So if there was an emergency or anything? How are you going to contact me? Can you and your business take that risk and liability? Doesn’t matter how many years you have been in business and how your wife is a piano instructor, SO WHAT!!! If i do not feel safe leaving my child there, I could care less from all the years of experience you have. It’s simply meaningless to any parent!
Environment in there is not the best. No windows and lack of air flow. This is very important when you have a group of coughing sick kids in one classroom. It’s definitely not a place you want to leave your kid there for 2 hours!
Tuition is approximately $ 110/​month. One class a week. 2 hours per class. Average tuition pricing.
Not an art school to go back, definitely not recommended.
