Kenneth came out to look at my house and some bugs; crane flies. They are everywhere. He is so trustworthy because I had thought they were actually crazy mosquitos. he could have sold me a service that I didn’t need. The next time that I do actually need pest control, I’m calling Clark because they sell with integrity! Thanks Kenneth, made my day!

We have had used Clark’s for many years, with multiple properties in the South Bay. Always great service provided by the technicians that come out. Jose and Robert are true professionals, we will continue to use them for our primary residence and rental properties. Recommended without reservation.

We have contracted with Clarks for over a year and just cancelled our contract. Scott was very nice to work with but not too effective. The latest «supervisor» who came to our home was extremely rude and condescending. My husband is disabled and the supervisor berated him for not securing a piece of wood to keep rats out of our home. When my husband asked him to leave he not only left without resetting traps, but took the traps with him! Scott’s service has been consistent but not very effective: a rat lived in our home for weeks and we had to find holes and suggest where they should be filled in. Yes, they caught some rats but did nothing we could not have done ourselves if my husband were not disabled.
We are not pleased, especially with the lack of response from office staff, and do not have to tolerate rudeness.
You should find a company that not only traps rodents but commits to excluding them as well. Clarks is not the company.

Don’t do it. I hired Clark for rats problem in my attic. They came out the first time after I made the appointment, made me signed a one year contract. Then they continue to bill without actually showing up for the service. They also send different people so there is no accountability on who didn’t do what. They bill the work that they promised but never perform and I have to call the office every time to dispute the bill before anyone will actually come out. This operation is close to a fraud. If you don’t want the hassle of dealing with bad service or feel like being taken advantage of, don’t hire this company.

In the spirit of the holiday season let me count the ways I loath Clark Pest Control:
1. The WORST service (they hardly ever show up)
2. Rude (why are the technicians so condescending and why is it always someone new)
3. They don’t follow through on their contract– They have done nothing and its been months
4. Shady (they schedule appts and then miss them and then try to drop by unannounced)
5. Unprofessional– if you ask them for updates, Clark becomes upset and tells you to let them worry about it
6. Mediocre work (they don’t return to pick up traps or maintain their account)
7.They blame the client.
8. They never call back
9.Our pest issue was not fixed
10:Wast of time and money
11. When they do come they do rushed mediocre work
But in all seriousness. I caution you all about this company. There are way better companies out there.

They are very responsive. I originally had a guy named Scott. He was wonderful. Then they switched him with another guy that was kind of rough around the edges. I called and asked if Scott could be my exterminator from now on. He comes out every two months even though it is not his regular neighborhood! A few times I have forgotten to leave the gate open for him and he just leaves me a note and comes back another time. He has never complained. I can’t speak highly enough of Scott.

Terrible. They promise but can not deliver. I have been a customer since 2008 (with a year or so break in between), their guarantee was to come as often as needed. I am on the quarterly plan. In the last year, I’ve had major spider infestation. Clark’s only came once every quarter. I had to call them multiple times during the quarterly timeframe because it seemed like the treatments did nothing. A supervisor came by last week to inform me (in these exact words) «it is not worth it for Clark’s to keep you as a client because you’ve called too many times during your quarterly cycle». I was offended! He was also very rude about it but just brushed it and thought I’d called and talked to upper management instead. I called today to speak with management and for a service request because I’m having a new pest issue and they told me my account has been cancelled!!! No notice. Absolutely ridiculous.

HOUSE TENTING BREAK-IN’S — I am sure when you decide to get your house tented that you don’t realize that you are giving someone the opportunity to come steal your life. I am sure Clark doesn’t tell you that someone will be breaking into your house upon you leaving and will go threw each drawer in your house and steal personal information for example social security cards, checking accounts, jewelry, clothing, keys, computers, and anything that they think is worth stealing! but San Jose Police Department will tell you different. 98% of people that get their houses Tented will be broken into… and the only response from CLARK

Let’s start off with «Chris» — He told my mom not to Worry that his guys would lock the windows and clark double checks everything before they put on the tent. She has safety locks on all her windows so, they can stay open a crack but are locked. CLARK left the kitchen window open even after my mom told them she would go and lock it but they insisted that they would handle it. SOMEONE BROKE INTO THE HOUSE WHILE IT WAS TENTED.
The FUNNY part the window that was open that they say someone came into the house «NOTHING» was moved but the entire house was torn apart and every room in the entire house had everything removed from ALL the drawers. SO, my question to Clark if they decide to read this review. How does someone climb in a window and not knock down the two tables over and the refrigerator not be moved to get into the house? but the ENTIRE HOUSE EVERYTHING WAS TRASHED!!! DOESN’T ADD UP?

The police came out and dusted for fingerprints. They say it happens all the time and that Pest Control Company’s should tell their customers that 98% chance your house will be broken into. They don’t do this for the obvious reason !!! They are not breaking into your house you gave them your «KEYS» and there is no way to trace it back to them and they are not responsible for your missing items.
Clark’s response was to my mom that’s why you have HOMEOWNER’S INSURANCE!!!
CLARK’S RESPONSE BACK TO MY MOM TOOK 2 DAYS!!! SHE KEPT LEAVING MESSAGES AND FINALLY SOMEONE CAME OUT. HE SAID HE WAS THE OWNER AND FIRST HE WAS VERY NICE AND SAID TO WRITE A LIST OF WHAT IT WOULD COST TO REPLACE THE ITEMS MISSING.
HE THEN CALLS BACK AND SAYS THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE MAKE A CLAIM WITH YOUR HOMEOWNER’S INSURANCE CO.

Andy has been fantastic to work with. His inspection was thorough, borderline backbreaking but he came out smiling and was pleasant the whole way through. Gave me all the information I needed, took the time to break it all down and generally exceeded my expectations. Dispatch is in Lodi but they are remarkably nimble so if you call them, they can reach their guys out on the field quickly to give you a good estimate on when they’ll be there.

We’re under contract for a house that needs to be fumigated. I wanted to get a few fumigation quotes, and I called Clark because, basically, they apparently bought a lot of ad space on google. They refused to give me even a ballpark number and insisted on an «in person» inspection that entailed access to the interior of the house.
At first I thought that this was just asinine, and that maybe they were ashamed of their high prices. But after reading other reviews, I see that this is actually part of Clark’s business plan. It’s not based on offering the highest quality of service or the best value, but rather on forcing customers to come in contact with their high-​pressure salesmen.
No thanks. There are lots of other, very capable fumigators out there. FYI, every other pest control company that I called was willing to give me a ballpark quote over the phone, based on the square footage of the house and a few other quick questions.

Cam is the best. I can get same day service and he is always super helpful and courteous. Cant say enough great things.

Nothing can describe the moment of sheer terror when you realize that you have a «pest» problem. «I am clean!,» «I keep a clean, tidy home.» «How could this of happened?» You feel like it is your fault, like you have done something wrong. Truth is, it can happen to anyone. All it takes is an pregnant invader to crawl through a crack under your screen door. This is what happened in my case as this particular pest was confirmed to have came from outside.
The second I realized that I was in trouble I called Clark. Hours later, a tech was out to assist. He (Anthony) was great, but this review is for the tech that is assisting me permanently, DAVE CORONADO. Dave was absolutely professional, but that is not what compelled me to write this review. Dave has dealt with me with a sense of compassion that goes far and beyond average service. It sounds corny to say, but it almost felt like my brother was helping me out with this issue. Turns out my problem is NOT a bad one. I caught it right away. Still this is one of the scariest experiences I have ever dealt with.
I hope management at Clark reads this. This review was actually embarrassing to write, but I had to. My experience with your company has been 5 stars all around. Dave on the other hand gets a million stars. Give this guy a raise, some recognition, a pat on the back, something… because he is awesome. Bravo, Clark!

We have had ongoing ant problem and finally I decided to call in a professional and get the job done instead of continuing to use retail products from Home Depot. I checked with my neighbors and one shared that his company couldn’t come to his home for a similar problem for 10 days.
So I went to Clark’s website and submitted a request for quotation on Saturday of Labor Day weekend. Sunday, I got a call from their call center and we scheduled an appointment for Tuesday after Labor Day.
Tuesday morning on schedule, Thomas came and spent about 45 minutes with me walking around the home, inside and out and told me what they would do. He also notice rat droppings that I hadn’t seen and shared how I could keep them out.
I signed up for their service; Thomas treated the home while out on this call. They will be back next month for a second treatment, then we go to every other month treatments. With both our next door neighbor and us served by Clark, I expect to chase the ants away to other homes that aren’t treated!
I was pleased with the professionalism, the service and the willingness to answer questions that my wife and I both had.

Giving 5 stars for Ray Tatarka out of this office. He covers the Santa Teresa /​Snell area. I had Ray come out for several years to spray the yard for Ants, Wasps and Black Widows. Then tried to handle myself for a couple years. Called Ray today in the morning and he was in the area. Came over when he said he would. We developed a huge Wasp and Black Widow problem. Again speaking for Ray, he is professional, on time and works his tail off. Removed the web’s, sprayed the yard (big yard) and where the wasps were nesting and so on. I don’t like long contracts either, but sometimes it is what it is and because I had Ray in the past, I signed up. Plus adding up all the sprays from Big Box Stores, didn’t really save. Ray’s a grey haired gentleman in his 50’s, about 6′+. So no imposters :)

Clark rep Larry Bragg is best, He & his team has done very good job for Fumigating our house in June, I got bid from 5 – 6 fumigation comp but Clark bid very reasonable
provided us with lots of bags to store food & when they came to work they check all bags & some of them re tight, actually check everything even vacuum pack food also bag (not required) subcontractor Mission fumigation comp employees were honest
& done very good job house was clean, no damage to plants, even they took care of roof top antenna (which most company do not do it) nice polite workers I recommend them.

Please do not sign up for this service! Not worth the money, you will also have to sign up for a year and this cannot be canceled even though they have not done the job. This was not explained to me, called and talked to the supervisor and he explained to me that it was the same as buying a car and tht I was obligated to fulfill my contract with them for the year. don’t waste your money.

Never again! I’ve been with them for quite some time and today was finally the last straw!!!
I actually quit another service to try them out a few years back and it was great, but I don’t know if they have a change in management or what happened because within the last year, their customer service has gone down the tubes!!! To say the least, they increase your rate without any kind of notification and they do not call back when they say they are going to.
I just no longer have the time to babysit for their service. Going back to my old service company who has provided me with a better rate and has always been good with their service.

The San Jose /​Silicon Valley area is served by the Milpitas Branch of Clark Pest Control, a branch office of Clark Pest Control of Stockton, Inc., the parent company. Problems with this branch are problems with the company.
Clark Pest Control’s claim to guarantee 100% satisfaction on every service they perform is simply false. As a result of their treatments in our home, we have incurred more than $ 60,000 worth of damage, and Clark refuses to accept any responsibility. To add insult to injury, we just learned that last December Clark, unilaterally and without telling us, terminated our post-​treatment termite inspection and warranty.
Last fall Clark fumigators tented our home in San Jose, and in the process blew throughout the premises massive amounts of highly toxic Rapid Set Cement powder that they had dumped in our attics «to track termites». The cement dust permeated every crack and crevice in the house, and our eyes, noses and throats burned from the exposure to the chemicals. A massive cleanup effort was needed, and we could not live in our home for more than two months, which included the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
Despite many requests to Clark, we were forced to clean up a good portion of the mess ourselves. The two contractors hired on Clark’s behalf (Anderson Group International and FRSTeam) refused to clean up some of the damage, and the services that they did provide were abysmal; in addition to not cleaning up the home very well, many of our personal belongings were damaged or destroyed during the clean up process, and some of our belongings were taken and not returned.
Throughout this ordeal, Clark has steadfastly refused to accept responsibility for the faulty services that they provided, or for the poor performance of the low-​bid contractors that they hired. To date neither Clark nor their contractors have reimbursed us for our loss, which totals more than $ 60k.
Clark’s ads state, «Clark, we need you,» and «We guarantee 100% satisfaction on every service we perform.» We beg to differ — no one needs services like this, and we are anything but satisfied.

So the Clark sales guy knocks on my door and says they are going to come through my neighborhood spraying tomorrow and I can get on the group discount. Starts to sound good, right? Well, half way through his sales pitch he starts spitting into my garden every 10 seconds. Hella nasty. He must have been chewing tobacco. Here is a hint Clark, don’t send your people out to spit all over the place on peoples property.
Needless to say, I told him to go away.

When you contract an exterminator to get rid of termites, there is very little difference between them for tenting your house. The contractors you find in the yellow pages (I got bids from Orkin and Clark’s Pest Control, Milpitas) really just subcontract their work to local fumigators who use the same product (Vikane), so you get the same results. That’s why I’d recommend that you go with the lowest bid which in my case was approximately an 11 percent difference in Clark’s favor.
The actual fumigators who did my work was Mission City Fumigators of Milpitas which I didn’t know until they showed up. If you really care about details, you might want to ask the salesperson/​estimator who they subcontract to so you can research for yourself. But basically, you’ll just wind up with a couple of laborers and supervisor who’ll tent and gas your home.
I was pissed that the fumigators were late and I had to wait in a cold house for three hours after PGE shut off my gas. I complained to the fumigator and he unapologetically said that kind of scheduling is difficult to control. After we returned to our home in 2 days, we found a few broken branches on plants (this is to be expected as we were warned by the salesperson). But the fumigators also broke a couple of drip heads which I took the time to mark with brightly colored flags. We also had a few bent shingles on our tool shed and a displaced roof flashing. Overall, I would consider all of these very minor damages, but I wished they would have informed me instead of having to discover them myself.
After a couple of weeks, a QA person from Clark’s called to see if I was satisfied with the work, and I told him how peeved I was at the fumigators’ carelessness. So what does the QA person do, he gets the same fumigator to call me and come by to take some pictures to CYA. There will be some verbal reprimands and they said they try better in the future. So overall, the fumigators did their job albeit a little sloppily.
