Business Owner
Hello,
My name is Michael and I am a Licensed acupuncturist and board certified Chinese herbalist.
Interseresting job I know. I have always had a strong desire to help people. So, after 15 years as an actor, I decided to follow my gut and go back to school to get a Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine.
Why acupuncture? Great question. I had been a patient first. A nagging case of tennis elbow led me to try acupuncture and I had fantastic results (much better than the shot of cortisone).
I graduated summe cum laude from the College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Northwestern Health Sciences University in 2008. I interned at the Courage Center and finished a post grad fellowship at Woodwinds Hospital. I also studied in a Hospital in China for 2 weeks, focusing on acupuncture and the treatment of stroke.
I hold a second degree black belt in Shotokan karate and love the martial arts. I teach tai chi and qi gong part time and am an adjunct faculty member at Northwestern.
