Disgusting, dirty, horrible. How can they stay in business? Refrigerator is so loud you can forget about conversation. Bathrooms not accessible. Horrible place!

This place is disgusting! I am not faulting the young kid making my bagel. He was simply following instructions and working with what he has. I watched him microwave my egg in some old plastic container that sits out when not in use. Disgusting! I knew it was going to be nasty nut i gave the benefit of the doubt. Was a simple onion bagel with egg and cheese. It tasted disgusting… Clean up the place and cook your food, don’t be lazy! Worst bagel I’ve ever had… not to mention the owner comes out of the back to ring me up while picking her teeth, with her fingers. I guess she decided to help the poor kid busting his butt while taking orders and prepping the orders as well. I hope she didnt touch the food… smh. It was a bad sign when i walked in. Some girl was sitting there staring at her bagle with a confused look, hesitant to take a bite. I had to call and complain. Someones gonna get sick. The manager/owner didnt even know what to say…

Worst customer service ever, that comes right after worst«sandwiches» ever. I had been a bagel customer for years. really can’t screw that up — the bagels were good. However, upon my last visit, I happened to notice that they made sandwiches as well — and they SOUNDED so yummy that I had to try them(damn it). So 2 days later, my daughter and I went in to grab a couple sandwiches to take home for lunch. Huge. Mistake. They do not know how to make a sandwich. They do not know what the heck Russian dressing is. let alone a «reuben.» I’m pretty sure the paper bag it came in weighed more than the actual sandwich. I was planning to share this with my husband(LOL!) expecting a large size reuben for that price. So, of course, I pull it out of the bag — it’s on a small 6″ bun(because we deferred the on a bagel option) with 2 thin slices of corned beef, piece of cheese and it has NO sauerkraut. Mind you, the man with thick Asian accent I thought said«do you want sauerkraut? and, I replied, «yes.» Apparently, he said«we don’t have sauerkraut». seriously? why the heck would I respond YES? Moving on, the worst(not) Russian dressing ever. It was sooo bad, I felt compelled to call and complain directly to him. Afterall, 2 friggin sandwiches and 1 coke were OVER $ 18 dollars. I was pissed and hungry. Back to the so-called Russian dressing… it was spicy as hell. So when I call, I complain. and tell him that is NOT Russian dressing it’s way too spicy and the sandwich is miniscule, like a toddler size sandwich. He said. «Russian dressing is spicy,» wrong. it has a tang to it not hot burn off your tongue spicy. He then added, they put Tapatio in it?!! like, this is normal. wth. And, he continues to argue that this the way Russian dressing is. No apology, no new sandwich, discount, nothing. Total Jerk. My first clue should have been: the owner(with severely broken English) taking an order for a sandwich he clearly does not know what it is and a woman(also with broken English but very nice) preparing this type of food was a mistake. You’d of thought, they were preparing for brain surgery vs. making a stupid sandwich. UGH. They should stick to bagels and nothing else and try to learn some customer service skills. Steer Clear of this jerk and his make-believe versions of overpriced«sandwiches.»

I go here all the time and the past three times I have went my bagels have been burnt. I like when the outside is a little crunchy but when the bagel is almost black I would rather just not eat it. They also need to work on the customer service. A customer walked in and they got her bagel ready before the three customers that had already ordered.

Average. Sorry to say but more than a few times when I get bagels there they are undercooked. Not raw but ½ way there. Not very appealing. I’ve been to other east coast bagels. I wish they were closer to my house than this one.

It’s Christmas and I’m about to complain. Sorry! But, this crew is rude and slow and unorganized. I won’t be back! Not okay with how rude the crew was today, and I waited about 30 mins my bagel is cold and gross, it just sat there done and no one was giving out orders when done. I saw several orders done wrong and the lady was giving people old cold bagels after they came back to get their right order.

I came here for my first time around lunch time after shopping in the nearby stores and ordered their tuna melt supreme. After ordering thr cashier double checked to ensure there was enough tuna and proceeded with my order. Due to another customer complaining about their chicken salad bagel(which they had to order because they were out of tuna…) the cashiers switched and my new cashier asked me what I ordered and when I said thr tuna melt supreme, she gave me a very perplexed look, stating they were out of tuna and only had chicken salad. I thought, no big deal, but I wished the first cashier who double checked to see if there was tuna would have caught this(strike 1). So I proceeded to order my now chicken salad bagel and asked 3 seperate times for it with no tomato, but I saw a lady putting tomatoes on my bagel — c’mon now(strike 2)! After she removed the tomatoes, I watched her scoop the chicken salad on my bagel, apply cheese, and WITHHERBAREHANDS(while her colleague was wearing gloves) smush the bagel together(yuck and strike 3!). I probably would have forgiven my nitpicking above, but the bagel was gross! Full of mayo that dripped everywhere and just sloppy. The place looked good from outside and smelled good when we entered, but I’ll be sticking to Bagels and Brew for all my bagels in south OC.

This place is disgusting awful unsanitary and disrespectful staff. I came to this bagel place to enjoy the The lemon pepper special and we ordered two bagels specials both with tomato avocado lemon pepper with No onion because my girlfriends allergic so we waited a long time for the food then when it finally got brought to us I double checked to ask the worker to make sure that there’s no onion and he said that there was not I open the box and both bagels had onion in itso I brought it back to him and told him that there was onion in it and he open the boxes and with his bare hands with no gloves picked out the onion off of the bagels and close the box and handed it back to me I argued with him to tell him that that was not right that he would first off just pull out the onion with his bare hands and that he wouldn’t even make a fresh one. Other customers in there overheard my conversation and knew that this place is unprofessional rude and disgusting and so other customer started yelling at the business saying for me to have a fresh made me ill and so they made me the bagels the right way but the bagels are burnt and they’re just sloped on there Half butt. I would never recommend anyone to come to this location.

THREEBLACKCURLYHAIRS I normally don’t write reviews but i think you should know that I found three black curly hairs in my bacon cheddar egg bagel. It’s my first time eating at this place so I would recommend hairnets and better sanitation. I don’t think I’ll be back so try at your own risk.

$ 10 for a dozen bagels. They raised the price since my last visit 6 months ago. For the price they set up now, I just go to next store Ralph to get bagel for 65 cents each. What the diff of the taste. Yes, Ralph doesn’t have some many choice like Bagel shop, but I can live with that the plain 65 cents bagel, lol

My favorite bagels! I come to East Coast at least once a week and I am happy with the service and food every single time. The ladies that work here are always so sweet, and they make the best bagel sandwiches and latte’s! My favorite things to get here are the Latte and Bagel BLTCC but instead of cream cheese I get mayo because I am a BLT purist and my BLT must have mayo(Not hating on the cream cheese though). It is perfect and whenever I get a BLT bagel from anywhere else I am sad because it is never as good as East Coast’s BLT. Their lattes’ are better than Starbucks and cheaper as well. Very good espresso and delicious creamy milk and froth. Also, my dog loves their whole wheat bagel and he’s picky. :P Haha(He rarely gets a bagel or any human food for that matter so don’t worry lol)

This small bagel store is located in Portola Plaza. During the school year it can get pretty busy because of foot traffic from the high school across the street, but other than that, service is usually fast and friendly. I am a fan of their spinach parmesan bagel. I also like their plain bagel as well as their scored garlic. They always add a hearty helping of cream cheese, which I love! Customers can have butter or lox if they prefer. They have a nice selection of fresh bagels and even a small selection of croissants. They do sandwiches as well. I haven’t tried anything other than their bagels, but the bagels are definitely worth coming back for.

This bagel place is hidden in a strip mall in a Ralph’s shopping center. After my major disappointment with the Einstein Bros across the street, I decided to give this place a try. I ordered a lox sandwich and was told that with any bagel sandwich purchase you get a free 16 oz. beverage. That was awesome since I was planning on buying a cold drink anyway. Service was very friendly and prompt. They had a very large selection of bagels when I stopped in also. Glad I found a good go-to place on my way to work to get my lox sandwich and free beverage as an added bonus :)

East Coast Bagel is a small cozy bagel shop near the Ralph’s shopping center. We met here for lunch to discuss wills and trust and green household cleaning products. The café is tiny. The tables and chairs were stacked, not sure why so we had to eat outside which we didn’t mind because it was actually a nice day out — 82 degrees in December. Go figure. Gotta love SoCal. Inside, it was like an oven. The place is stocked with refrigerators full of a variety of beverages. I didn’t see a fountain soda machine but I guess it’s located behind the counter. Everything you order is made on a bagel, no breads or wraps here and by the time we got there for lunch the bagel selection was limited as is their menu. They have a handful of items for breakfast and lunch. I got the veggie sandwich that came with avocado, cheese, lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, mayo, and mustard on a sourdough bagel. It wasn’t a bad sandwich. I just don’t know about mustard on a sourdough bagel though; the taste was kinda off and I expected them to get a little creative and put some cream cheese on it. In all due respect, it’s not bad eats. Not the best, but decent if you’re looking for a quick sandwich.
