If I could give half a star, i would! This was the worst nail salon experience I’ve ever had! They not only told me the wrong price on the phone and I had to pay more than I thought when I got there. BOTH my Mani and pedi ladies made me BLEED. They need to work on their customer service and have nail menus visible. As for the actual nail job, let’s just say I’ve had waaaaaay better at zen nails in Laguna hills by chuckie e cheese.

This is the only nail place I will go to, staff is super nice and they really take care of you. Kim and Helen are always my go to. Prices are great and they have a huge range of gel colors.

Went here for the first time today. Décor has been updated and I found the service friendly. Very busy in a Saturday morning. I’d recommend an appointment.

Love this place…3 for 3 great royal pedicures… I’ve been to many salons around the area and this is the best…

I came here to get Pedicure Jel service and they charged me $ 34.00, and when i asked why it is so expensive they said it’s because i used Jel instead of regular nail polish which was $ 19.00. It is ridiculously expensive. I always get my nails done and maximum price differentiate for Jel VS regular is only few $$ NOT double price. I never come back to this place for my nails.

It was my first time getting my nails done here and I seriously love it! Everyone here is so nice and they took me right away. She even made sure I was about to sit next to my friend. Everything here is affordable and perfect! Defiantly coming back here!

Worst customer service ever! Waited and the lady who came in after me got her nails done first.

I have been to a lot of nail salons and this one has been the best so far! I have really dry and cracked feet and she did not even hesitate to spend as much time as was needed to remove the dry skin — she didn’t cut me and she didn’t make up for it by skimping on the foot massage either! Wow — I am relaxed, my feet feel great and my toes are pretty! Thank you Hollywood Nails and Mylee!

I came in here on a great recommendation and brought my two sisters to check this place out. There was a small wait, which we were fine with because we were walk-​ins. I asked for a manicure and pedicure and was sat in a spa chair. The lady that did my pedicure came over and you could tell she was in a bad mood. The pedicure took her maybe 10 minutes and the massage was maybe a minute. I blinked and it was over. She filed my toenails down so short. I asked if I could soak my nails for my manicure in an oil and lotion mixture thinking it would make my hands soft. Well I think I struck a nerve because she then told me the definition of a manicure and that is not a polish removal. I did not ask for a polish removal, I asked for a manicure. She told me to wait and I said ok. The next lady that came over to do my manicure was fast as well and not anything great. I left with clear polish all around my toes and nails and was bummed that I wasted 45 minutes of «mommy-​free-​time» on that.

The ladies at Hollywood nails are the sweetest bunch of gals. Holly (the owner) is such a sweetheart and I was so impressed at how she knows her customers by name the minute they walk in — I’m a stickler for customer service and they have mastered this to a tee!
When I lived in San Diego, I went to my «regular» nail gal for over 10 yrs. I’m very, very, very picky about my pedicures and I’ve had to kiss a lot of proverbial frogs in order to find my prince or in this case, princess of pedicures. It took me another 10 yrs to finally find Vivian, who is an absolute gem. She always does such a thorough job. I just adore her and hope to keep her for at least the next 10+ yrs!

I called for an appointment, yet they still made me wait 15 minutes when I walked in. I said I wanted a regular manicure & pedicure but the next thing I knew was I ended up paying over $ 70 as they apparently charged me for a «Deluxe Pedicure which they said had exfoliation that I had mixed up with what I thought they meant Callous removal yet was up charged for that as they added some cooling gell etc. then they talked me into Gell and moving off the massage chair so they could clean up as they said they wanted to close as my appointment was at 6 pm but since they were running late or busy they cut the foot massage short etc. The Girls seemed rushed as they were trying to up sell me chatting or calling back and forth between questioning me… I reiterated that I just wanted the regular Mani-​Pedi that I reserved over the phone but they showed me a laminated paper that did not offer that so the Pedicure was $#0 plus $ 8 Callous then another $ 15 up for Gell but kept changing the price and talking amongst themselves so it was distracting & was not very relaxing as I felt harried to get my flip flops on as soon as they were done as they didn’t allowed to let my nails dry on the massage chair so they could «clean up» even though I was paying over $ 60 for the upgrades… Then the receptionist said she didn’t have change for my $ 20 bill as I guess she though I was NOT going to tip or something and joked that she too wanted a $ 10 tip as I tipped out to the nail girls so gave her a buck even though she didn’t really honor my reservation… They were friendly but as soon as I drove off with my wet toenails, I started to feel as if I had been had…

I usually love my manicure no matter where I have my nails done. However, I had a gel manicure here and they turned completely yellow. When I came back in to show them, they said that I would have to pay for a new manicure $ 25. I will not be returning here because of the customer service (…or lack thereof).

I love coming here, they always do a great job and are so friendly. The prices are great and they offer a wide variety of services. I love that they do an excellent job quickly as I am usually in a hurry. I get my eyebrows done here as well as my nails and all their services I have sampled are excellent. I recommend this place to my friends and it’s my go to place.

Hollywood nail is number one. The owner is super nice. Good price. My girfriend has been coming here for years and it is her favorite bacause of the good prices and friendly environment.

I have been going to Hollywood Nails for the past year for my gel manicures. I have tried a few other places throughout the past year and always find that I want to go back to Hollywood Nails. Holly, the manager (possibly the owner?) is very friendly and my favorite manicurist is Helen. She is very sweet, fast and does a high quality job. She’s the reason I keep coming back. The price is reasonable and it is a clean, upbeat little shop.

I must’ve jinxed myself since writing my initial review. The two times I went after the review, the services did not include the exfoliation and callous removal. Both times it was offered to me as an $ 8 upsell, bringing the cost to $ 25 ($ 18 for basic pedi).
So I’m not sure if the items included in the basic pedi depend on which lady u get (both recent times were with ladies I’d never worked with before), or if their packages changed, or my writing the last review messed things up for everybody by calling attention to the fact that the ladies are supposed to charge extra for things that they’d been lenient about. :(
However, they still do a great job as far as workmanship. Polish lasts and lasts. It’s just that now that their prices no longer set them significantly apart from the competition, I have no qualms about looking for closer salons and not using Hollywood exclusively anymore.

I drive out of my way to go here. The ladies are so nice and every one of them is totally into the little details. They double check their work to make sure it’s perfect. I have been going here for many years and don’t understand the other poor reviews.
The brand new spa chairs are amazing.
Prices are great too.

I tried a few nail salons in the MV area and after a few tries, I found a wonderful little retreat that I’ve been coming to for over a year now. All the ladies are nice and treat me with wonderful respect and professionalism and the salon has been recently remodeled including all new equipment. Compared to other MV salons, the prices are better and the service is definitely much higher.
This is the kind of place where people come back and I often see customers bringing baked goods and gifts for the ladies to enjoy. That tells me that these ladies are super sweet and connect to their customers.
I come in for gel manicures and pedicures. Make an appointment to secure a time slot on the weekends (though walk-​ins are always welcomed, if they can fit you in). Mai is the absolute best and the new owner, Holly, is always so attentive and sweet. This group is always adding new features to create improved customer experience and they do it with great success (e.g., heated lotion and hot towels).
If you like a no-​nonsense, no fuss nail salon without all the pretense, then I recommend this as a great place to come get your nails done. You’ll enjoy the service and appreciate the quality of the work. I read the other reviews and quite honestly don’t know what they are talking about. I’ve only ever been treated with integrity and professionalism and I’ve never been overcharged– EVER. I have seen customers come in and behave quite badly or be angry when they have no appointment and can’t be seen absolutely immediately (as if there is an arsenal of manicurists in a back room just waiting to be of service).
Now I bring my daughter and she just LOVES coming to get her nails done because she is treated so sweetly by the ladies. I love coming here and being made to feel welcomed and appreciated.

I am translating comments for the girls in my life… and thusly entering this review for them…
Title of this review… «Insult me once, or insult me thrice times… the result will be the same. I shall leave… pocketbook in hand.» (I know… sounds pretty prolific and stuff… I made it up, and I like it! Maybe I’ll do T-​shirts?)
My wife is… no, make that WAS… a regular here, and came in as a walk-​in for what could have been a quick nail repair. She was put to the side for «bigger ticket» walk-​ins. She was yelled at from half way across the room with the question… «Someone help you?» (This isn’t a fish market… don’t yell at me from forty paces, OK?) She waited nearly 25 minutes, with available technicians passing her, and she then just walked out, and will not return.
Our oldest daughter, also a regular, came in for a pedi and manicure. She also had her two daughters with her for manicures only. Because the kids only needed a simple manicure, several «bigger ticket» clients who walked after they walked in, were taken first. She also left, and will not return.
Oddly, all I saw in previous review issues here were about the sanitary condition of the salon. This would be the first, primarily, customer service based review. The other bizzare thing about most of the nail salon reviews I’ve read in the MV area, is that customer service, via that «cultural divide», seems to be a recurring backdrop for all else that might ail these nail businesses.
Based on my quick education on Unilocal,looking for other nail joints in the area… I’m guessing that just finding a «mediocre to OK» shop near one’s home is the new criteria for «best nail salon ever?» It’s like that T-​shirt we saw in San Francisco last week that explains how we’re allowing our life-​standards to fall apart like a cheap suit… «Staying In is the new Going Out.»
