Scenic/mike’s Towing & Auto Care

Needless to say I had a horrible experience with a different tow company. So after waiting over two hours in an abandoned parking lot at night I had called to cancel with them and called Mikes/​Scenic Tow. They were out to help me in just 10 minutes or so! I was very relieved that they were so prompt and the guy who helped me was very professional and kind. I will only be calling this tow service for now on!

My family and I got stranded on the 152 and we waited for 3 hrs. Our car company sent the tow company and well according to the girl when we called she says, oh he had gone (have you we was exactly 93miles away) and supposedly the guy came didn’t see us and left all in a hour! Wtf! Kidding me! I say dude never went in the first place! They never even called us back to make sure we was picked up! I was lucky my brother drove by to take my 5&6 year old home for me while I waited for another tow truck company I had to call. Don’t call these guys if you don’t wanna get stranded!

car died in the parking garage at work and the shop I called recommended this tow company. i called and they told me that it would take 45 or so for them to send a smaller truck out because the bigger ones won’t fit into the parking garage. they came in almost exactly 45 min. matt, the driver was quick, professional, and drove safely. they towed me 6 miles for a reasonable price.

My key wouldn’t turn my ignition anymore, so I called AAA to send me a tow truck. The guy they send me was Todd from Scenic Towing and for that I am thankful. In waiting for Todd to get there I walked to Auto Zone to get something to see if it would make my key turn the ignition, but that didn’t work, then I had also called a locksmith in the mean time who told me lies which could had made my car situation worse. Todd called me when he got there and I directed him by phone about where I was and he came right to me. When he got there he let me tear up and tell him everything I had been through and then went to assess my situation. He then reassured me it was no where near as bad as the locksmith had convinced me it was because he had a car very similar to mine which in turn made me feel so much better. He also gave me a business card of a locksmith to go to just in case. He was very convinced it was my key had worn out and asked if I had my spare at home. When I told him yes, he hooked my car to the tow truck, drove me home, and got my spare key. He stood with me until I turned the key and my spare worked. I am thankful that Scenic Tow has a man like Todd working there and I would definitely wait many hours for him to be available to tow my car and I would even spend the 45.00 to pay him to tow my car in the event I didn’t have roadside assistance! Thank you Scenic Tow!!!

I understand how flusterating it can be when your car breaks down and your day basicly goes down hill. I have worked with Scenic both professionally and as a client for over 25 yrs. You have to understand these guys are hustling all day trying get to their customers. If they have to sit and wait for you to get to your car or try to find you because you have no call back number and the directions are too vague. You are causing a Domino effect. Someone else is waiting too. For the driver to finish helping you and come help them. So if you break down stay with your car. If you can’t, tell dispatch where you are so driver can pick you up (disabled, too hot/​cold,) at nearby restaurant or business where you are safe. These guys work really hard, in the heat, rain, snow. They are the ones changing your flat tire, bringing you gas cause you forgot to stop. Unlocking your car (remember the car designers are making it harder for thieves/​makes it harder for the good guys too) give them a break. Everyone has a bad day, don’t let yourself be the reason.

For the first time I had Great service from this place. I called AAA for a tow. A very pleasant young man name Pete showed up and greeted me with a smile and hooked up to my car with extreme care. I was blown away to say the least. Last time I used this place I told the rude driver to unhook the car and get off my property.
I sure hope Pete trains the rest of the drivers in customer service. I sent a letter to AAA about Pete and the awesome job he did.
Never loose hope in a tow service as long as people like Pete work there.

I’ve been going to Scenic for all auto repair and maintenance, because they are knowledgeable, trustworthy, and their work is quality and thorough.

Had a tow yesterday from Salida to Patterson. The driver was nice and on time. We would use this company again if we ever needed it.

I like this company, all these other reviews can’t be true. Seriously, if half of this crap was true they wouldn’t be in business. Anyway, it’s a tow company, they are always getting people in a bad mood, because who isn’t mad when their car breaks down?! Any time I’ve had a tow my driver is always polite, courteous, and quick. Even if I have to wait a bit, it’s not a big deal, I am not the only one in Modesto needing service when I call. I try to be nice to the drivers, it isn’t their fault I’m having car issues. I also tip my drivers too. Think about it people, if you worked in an industry where your customers were ALWAYS mad, you might come off a little grumpy too! 5 stars for scenic towing and auto care!

I have not used them and I don’t think I will, very rude. I understand customer service but not at everybody else’s convenience. park right in the middle of the gas station so i could not get out until he moved… 5 min just watching yeah thanks for that …

I have used this company many times throughout the years. Never had a problem. Experienced drivers, fast response and always a good experience.

I broke down near Ripon on my way to work in Modesto and I called my insurance for a tow. The tow truck driver from Scenic Towing was prompt and courteous and he worked fast. I opted to use their auto care company to repair my vehicle which needed a water pump and a thermostat. The price ended up being lower than they quoted because they said it took less time than expected. They called me with updates every step of the way and when they realized it wouldn’t be done until the next day, they gave me plenty of notice. All in all, they helped me and did a good job and they thanked me for my business.

I was coming back from Turlock on Saturday night, driving in the second lane and towing a car carrier trailer. all of the sudden I was out of control sliding back and forth across the freeway. I realized The trailer had been hit by Scenic Towings big diesel tow
son and I were almost killed. I pulled over and asked what happened and the driver «Jerome» said he sneezed. I called the owner and he told me that the driver told him that I veered into him. What a liar, this guy was totally unqualified to be behind the wheel. I get the feeling that they are going to try to screw me over on the damages to my 2008 trailer. I have begun an investigation with triple A because I do not want this to happen to anyone else. This guy needs to be removed from his driving position immediately, he is a danger to other motorists and a bold face liar. I will pursue this until the wrong has been righted. Would give it a negative 1000 if I could, that’s just how bad they are. Unfortunately AAA uses them, and doesn’t decide to go with another company considering all the bad reports I’ve given them. They have a mid 40’s guy who works there that is hella cool and totally professional, wish I could remember his name, but that’s it. I’ve had one of the guys make me push my own car to get it out of the driveway. Then when they towed my car from Modesto to San Jose, something on the road flew up and hit my car leaving damage to it. They claim they aren’t responsible for it, but then why are they insured for situations like this? They originally told me to get an estimate, but when they heard that it would cost around 1,300 to get it fixed, they started acting like I was making everything up. They claimed that since my car was not new and already had some dings on other places of the car, (mind you no where near where the new damage was) that my claims were invalid. I am filing a complaint with the BBB since they were not willing to help out in any way. I had to get my battery replaced today, and AAA wanted me to go through them for it, I spent a little more money to go somewhere else to get just because I couldn’t possibly give these people any of my money.

Would like to give this towing service a negative star, but I can’t.
Long story short, while I was waiting for a tow for a rental car I ran for some breakfast. Driver was forced to wait 10 minutes for me.
I let the driver know that I needed to get into the back of the car for luggage he walked up to me, looked me in the eye and dropped the keys to the floor and just stared at me.
The rest of the time he was filled with so much attitude I couldn’t stand it and went inside my hotel. He then called me to tell me he fixed the car. In 5 minutes he fixed an alternator?!
After arguing briefly with me about keeping the car he finally left.
He was by far the rudest person I have ever met and would NEVER allow someone I know to use their service
