Great people, service and good. Can’t ask for anything more. It was awesome. There are the typical fast food places around but the parking lot was full here and that called to me. The French fries are crispy and traditional. Love the curly fries.

What A great lunch. On our drive across country we decided to look for somewhere different to eat rather than your regular chain restaurant right off the highway. Magic Grill had great reviews so we figured we give it a try even though it was further off the highway then we really wanted to drive. We definitely made the right decision what a delicious lunch. The ribeye poboy was outstanding and the gravy is just to die for. Hubby had the shrimp poboy that was delicious as well but I liked mine better. The owner Mike was working the front and even offered and brought us out some mashed potatoes and green beans on the house for our little baby girl. As we were leaving he also grabbed my husband on the way out the door and gave us a cup of ice cream, mmmmm. What outstanding service and excellent food. I think we’ll stop there on the way home too.

My favorite place in the world for poor boys and hamburgers. Outstanding service and value with specials around 6 bucks. Very clean! But it is all about the gravy… the MAGIC gravy… rich and so good to dip the fries in.

Succulent and delicious, with a apparent attention to detail, Magic Grill sets the standard in indulgent, made-with-love food. The turkey poboy is my favorite, but I’d take a bath in that gravy. Ice cream is beyond indulgent. Treat yourself to this Monroe specific icon.

Best place for Roast Beef Po Boys! Great staff, you will probably see the owner! Tip: mustard on the fries, then pour the gravy all over. Good stuff.

Great roast beef sandwich! It’s definitely hard to beat, great for lunch dinner or whenever! It may not look pristine on the outside but it’s a great hometown restaurant.

Wow… just wow. Militantly friendly service and a roast beef Po Boy that’s on par or better than Ray’s PeGe. You have to check this place out.

We came here on a Saturday night right before closing time and service was friendly & courteous. My friend & I split the ribeye poboy w/curly french fries & gravy. The ribeye was sandwiched in between toasted french bread, mayo, lettuce & tomatoes. The ribeye tasted a bit oversalted but OMG… I was in ribeye & gravy heaven!!! The gravy just made everything taste a million times better. I could probably die happy swimming in a vat of that«magical» gravy! And I was wondering why the french bread tasted so good – it was buttered up, making the poboy even more unhealthy but gosh darn it, who cares about calories when it’s fingerlicking good! You know that the messier a poboy is, the better it will taste! My other friends had the burger and hamburger steak dinner & they seemed happy with their meal selections. This is a very casual & relaxed take out/sit down eatery offering good food at affordable prices. Magic Grill does offer«magical» poboys! Insider tips: 1. Portions are HUGE so unless you have a really big appetite, two people can easily split a whole poboy. 2. Make sure you get gravy for dipping the poboys & fries!!! Trust me!!! 3. They serve Haskells Donuts during the morning hours.

You should know that I only ate here one time, but it was good enough for me to vote five whole stars. This place is not at all fance, no table service, or anything, but the food is AWESOME. I have never enjoyed gravy so much in my life. I actually ate what was left from dipping my po’boy with a spoon. THAT good. It’s cheap, incredibly tasty and you get LOTS. I can’t wait to go back.

This is a second generation Ray’s PeGe which is a famous local eatery serving burgers, po-boys, etc.. Great local food consisting of burgers, poboys, homeade onionrings and the like. Friendly service and great prices. A real ‘locals’ hangout.
