Hostess was really nice
Jesus the waiter was nice and accommodating and brought bread and food right away
Grilled cheese excellent
Tomato basil soup good better than a lot of places
Place clean not too crowed
Overall great experience

I like have dinner occasionally at Coco’s. This location without doubt is the worst that I ever been in it. The host was a little bit bitchy acting, place looks old and kind of dirty, the food taste like was sitting there for a while. Really disappointed.

This weekend was supposed to be fun with all that Monterey Park had to offer… Carnivals, rides, celebrations, plays, etc…
We decided to order dinner from Cocos and take it home so we could celebrate with family!
What we got was a complete disaster!
We were missing an ENTIRE prime rib meal and the pecan pie was like a gigantic hockey puck! I kid you not you could NOT cut it at all! It was as hard as a rock and when we took a carving knife to it it still would not cut! Please see video!
I feel so stupid trying to give hem another chance after the last experience.
Worst restaurant experience!

I am really pleased with this place. I ordered the spicy Asian chicken salad and it was DELICIOUS. I also ordered the double chocolate silk pie. So tasty. The service is great. Everyone is so friendly. Even the other customers. Everything is nice and clean. Also, I came in when I was really hungry. And they brought my food out right away! I will definitely be eating here again, and i recommend you eat here too if you’re ever in the area.

My sister and I love coming here for breakfast. The food is better than Denny’s, however the wait staff is terrible. Every single time we are there, the waiter/​waitress forget about us. They never come check on us and see if we need anything. And it’s so hard to get there attention. There is usually always something missing on the plate. The staff isn’t rude, but they really need to work on not neglecting their customers. The only person who gives great service is the cashier/​greeter guy. I always forget to check his name tag, But he is very friendly every time we go. They staff could learn a thing or two from him. If the waitstaff was more attentive then I’d definitely give this place 5 stars.

Went for dinner last night and food not very good. My plate was bland and looked like an appetizer not a dinner as the pictures on the menu. Two other were disappointed with their dishes as well as their portions were also that of a diet plate and the food was terrible. Actually the best tasting items for our sit down came from the bread baskets. How sad is that??? We’ve been coming to this location for years and sadly to say our last three experiences have been flops. I will say the service was good and the manager helped too but hearing an explanation about proportioned and premade food gave us the answer why our food wasn’t what it use to be… we even passed on the pie which looked great… I hope for their sake they make a change before my write up is followed by others confirming and people will either end up at Denny’s or Hometown.

Had an early dinner with my kids and a good friend of mine. This was our first time there, and i have to say i loved it. The service was awesome, great attitude, politeness and friendly & the food was great!!! Im not sure why i have never tried this place out before. As i was leaving even the cashier was sweet. When you get service like i received today it just makes you want to go back again. I know i will go back soon. This will be my to go to place on my next dinner with my friend, for sure. Although im going back to take my mom :) next week.

The manager was super cool and accommodated my pregnancy and opened the back part of the restaurant for us so I can sit comfortable. Our waiter Patrick was awesome! Our food was freaken good! They have the best coffee compared to Denny’s.

Food is alright to say the least. The place is well lit and clean, however the staff can you send some help service is slower than a snail and they never went to check in on my table once the food was serviced.

Everything is great as soon as you walk in and by the time you walk out to pay every employee has big smiles. Service is awesome and my kids love it.

My daughter and I had lunch here. I was impressed in how fast we were seated and served.
I needed coffee! Two cups and i was ready to face the world.
My daughter ordered parmesano chicken with mash potatoes and a side of fries with BBQ sauce and I had the New York steak with grilled veggies, side salad.
The parmesano chicken was delicious. I stole a spoonful from my daughter. My veggies were good, my salad was delicious. I was not very fond of the steak… it had a weird taste to it.
I didn’t eat the steak, I only finished my salad and veggies. BETTY our waitress noticed I didn’t eat my steak. She immediately offered another dish. I declined… I had gotten full with what I had eaten. The manager removed the charges from my bill which I appreciated very much. I didn’t even have to ask…
Betty our waitress was great… she served us complimentary bread, gave us 2 kinds of creamers and never let our drinks go empty… I’d definately be back because of her!

Food and service was very good and timely, went back again to coco’s it was excellent, Idis provides awesome service and never disappoints

Positives — This is the 3^rd time in about 6 months that we dined here. They have a $ 20 deal for 2 8 ounce Prime rib servings + a couple of side dishes + one dessert to share. I was actually quite impressed with all that you get with this deal — so we came again to get it.
Negatives — regretfully the place was not well maintained. The bathrooms were sadly showing their age and lack of maintenance. The dining table was slightly STICKY — yuck?!
Neutral observations — service varies from good to not so good. Staff seem attentive and concerned — but they often seem tired and over-​worked. I actually feel sorry for them.
Recommendation — go and get the $ 20 Prime Rib deal — however — if not for this $ 20 deal I’d probably not want to visit again. Sigh…

Spicy Asian Chicken Salad is my favorite menu item. I ordered to go. When I got to my hotel and opened the container, I noticed there was very little chicken and no wontons. I checked the bag to see if possibly the wontons were separate so they didn’t get soggy. No such luck. This was a pathetic salad! Sounds like, from other reviews, this Coco’s location is in need of some work.

After dropping from my Focus at Ford of Montebello, my wife and I went to have breakfast at Coco’s. We know the restaurant will be pack but surprise it wasn’t it was busy. We got seated order our drinks and look at the menu, we saw what we what for breakfast.
My wife order the Chorizo and egg hash I order the Nutella pancake combo, this is will be my first time to try Nutella on pancake with bananas. Our food arrival at our table my Nutella pancake looks delicious and my wife Chorizo and egg hash looks very good.
The Nutella packcake was so good rich with flavor combine with the bananas and Nutella and the whip cream on top on the Nutella pancake it was so heavenly… My wife enjoy her chorizo and egg hash and raspberry pancake but I delete the pictures by accident my apologies.

Took a while to get seated and not many people being served. After getting served, was greeted and received our coffee and ordered pretty fast. Food came out fairly fast and was OK. As I noticed, while we were eating, a huge crowd was waiting for seating and noticed there were only two waiters. «Management problem here» Felt sorry for the servers. They made the best of it.
As we checked out, it took about ten minutes to pay our bill and I saw customers being seated slowly into an uncrowded Coco’s.
Bummer for the lack of management skill to operate a food chain.

I hate writing reviews, I really do. That’s why I only have one review written from all these years of Unilocaling (ONLY WHEN I’M PISSED OFF).
So it took 10 minutes to be seated even though no one was in front of us and the restaurant was half empty. Then after we finished and were too full for our pie, we had our server pack it to go which took another long wait as our server had to clear the line at the cashier. When the line at the cashier cleared I decided to go up and pay first and maybe my pie will be ready, then this woman just cuts in front of me and the waiter takes her check and ignored me. ok…
Well, sure if you’re going to treat me with bad service then I’ll just give a bad tip (12% which is not even that bad considering LeSean McCoy leaves 20 cents tip on a $ 60 check). When I write the tip and the waiter said in a passive aggressive way «$ 3 dollars only? okay thanks» I totally lost it. It would’ve been fine if he asked why I’m only leaving a small tip so he can make note and do a better job next time, but no, he just basically shoos me away. WTF dude, I’m still waiting for my god damn pie.
K my rant is over, I will not be back even if they offer free meals.

I just sat down to order and I already want to leave.
Our server, Benjaba” Becky” K is rude. She didn’t make eye-​contact. Didn’t smile. She gave my dad who speaks okay English attitude when he was confused by her question. I cut in to make the order faster since it looked like he couldn’t say certain words in English (he speaks Spanish). She seemed so upset she just left without taking our menus. I’m never coming back here and I’ve only sat here for 10 minutes. These eggs better dance for me or I’m walking out.
