Dollar Tree

Just a note for ordering online to pick up at your local Dollar Tree… the people at the store haven’t quite got the hang of that yet. Takes about 10 – 15 minutes to get the manager and then they have to find the order. They must not do a lot of this…

The store is a bit small and unorganized with less items than other Dollar Trees. They rarely have brand name make up. The school section for teachers is very messy and chaotic. They dont have as many things for organizing and seasonal décor. The lines are usually very long because there’s only one or two workers tending to the cash register. But overall, this place usually gets the job done with things I need. But I have experienced other and better dollar tree stores.

I can agree with all the other Unilocalers here that it is did organized. Its messy just like the adjacent Ross, and it is so clean. Me and mom always find our selves admist a long line just to pay for a few snacks or office supplies. Only one cashier when there are about 3 or four EMPTY registers. Come on now…

They usually have what you need however they are completely understaffed on the weekends. They would generate more $$ if they had at least 3 cashiers working at all times… Maybe rotate 4 on any given day so 1 can break at a time. On more than 3 occasions I have seen customers ready to purchase goods and then put their cart down and walk out once they see the line down the aisle of the store… This is very Unfortunate for Dollar Tree but is expected when not properly staffed. This year they had no Father’s Day balloons!!! How is that possible. :/​so I went to Von’s next door to spend $ 20 on 4 balloons.

Wow! Very messy, understaffed, no help! To top it off they ran out of bags. Not coming here again!

This place needs a lot of work. The employees were having a full on conversation while ringing people up. They were clearly too busy to be helpful at all, discussing other employees and their lunch breaks. I heard one lady who was stocking yelling at a customers son. I definitely will not be back.

Definitely just a ok location. The store is always messy. Most employees are nice but not all. Some can be rude. Parking is always ia pain because the shopping center is so busy all the time. Nothing different or spectacular about this location!

Not that i don’t love a good dollar store, but this location in particular is always horribly understaffed. I often find myself waiting for 20+ minutes to buy a simple bar of soap or generic canned meat product.

This store is a absolute disaster. Plus, a Super long line and only 2 cashiers. Maybe cause it was a Saturday nite it was really crazy in the store.

Been here twice recently and I honestly can’t believe this store has a good rating on here. The store is extremely messy, unorganized, filthy and The carpet looks like it hadn’t been vacuumed in years.
It’s also impossible to find what you’re looking for, and even if you ask the staff they seem pretty clueless to where anything is as well.
Of course they have great items for $ 1 but I mean if you want to spend an hour looking for that one particular item you want.

I don’t remember exactly what year but I do remember they had this thing called grab bags. They were so cool!
Anyway, the staff is really friendly here and the place is neat and well maintained and you find the coolest things for a $ 1. I like that they offer helium foil balloons.

Nothing so special about this Dollar Tree other than it’s in the City of Montebello. Store is located in a plaza where you can see Vons, Ross and Marshall. I guess it’s nice to have one near a grocery store because if you end up wanting to buy tools to make or such, dollar tree for you!
Going into a Dollar Tree can be fun and cheap. Each seasons, there’s always all type of decorations for you all to pick from. You can find dog toys and cat toys for a buck. oh, did I mention that you can get parchment papers for a buck compare to Targets and Walmart’s when those two departments are known for cheap items? Now you know where to get some cheap baking tools.

Dollar stores are always fun, and I don’t really run into any beezies at this place like I would at next door neighbor (Ross).
They usually have everything really well stocked and the people at the register are generally pretty helpful and nice as well. PLeasant surprise.

I am a frugal person so this store is just perfect for me. I love the school supply section and if you go at the beginning of the school year, they will have everything you need in stock. But, if you go at the wrong time like towards beginning of summer, the school supply section will be dry. They have a great party and gift supplies which are pricey at Hallmark. Basic home necessities can also be found such as: toilet paper, toothpaste, tooth brushes, shampoo, hand sanitizer, soaps, hair materials, and etc. If you have children, this is a great place to bring them as they have a toy section filled with educational toys and materials for them to play with. Different types of foods, snacks, and treats can also be found. Basically, this store carries almost everything you’ll find at your local store.
I love how they carry everything just for the price of a dollar where as other stores charge triple the amount!
If you have read my other reviews, I am BIG on customer service. In the morning, you will get lucky with a clean store and maybe a worker that smiles but other than that… just stick with the morning shopping trip. Why? If you go around 3pm to closing, you’ll be rummaging through piles of supplies, practically tripping over the merchandises, and rude teens who think they own the store as they open the merchandises, play rough with the toys, and use PROFANITY loosely around young children. Also, during the day and night shifts is when the teen employees clock in providing rude customer service looking as if they really do not want to be at work.

My mom sends me here for the most random of things so I have had to travel every inch of the store looking for whatever it was at the time. This store is small and a bit cluttered with all the crap little kids shovel around the store and what not. Who cares they have a bunch of simple everyday things that are cheap as hell and not as bad of quality that you might expect for a dollar. I love the fact that they have items like lots of different seasonings, worstichiere sauce etc. that they sell at vons next door for ALOT more $$$.
There is ALWAYS a line even if there is more than one clerk ringing people up. This location is always full of people but most dollar stores I have been to usually are, and parking is usually an issue for this place especially on the weekend.

I love Dollar Tree! It’s great for gift bags, tissue paper and random party supplies. They are even carrying scrapbooking items and teacher supplies.
As a teacher, I was going to give out certificates to students. Instead of forking $ 25 over for 10 certificate holders, I went to Dollar Tree and got 8 ½″ x 11″ photo frames. They fit perfectly and were way more functional than those certificate holders.
What I like about Dollar Tree is that they manufacture a bunch of their own items, so unlike 99¢ Store, you can go back and find what you are looking for.
DT is also great for seasonal items. They have a bunch of decorations and supplies for major holidays and celebrations. They also carry «lines.» For example, they have an entire section devoted to wedding items, such as bubble bottles, those cheesy little swans, table décor, etc.
I rarely get food from DT, but whenever I’ve gotten gum or candy or chips, they’ve been good.
Oh, and they play the best music in there. Always wants to make you sing and dance along. :)
Definitely save your money and hit Dollar Tree!

This review only pertains to yarn. Good for most Dollar Tree locations.
I’ll stop by every so often just to check the yarn inventory. $ 1 for name brand yarn that normally costs up to $ 4 – 8 elsewhere! On my last visit, I found Paton Glitter Yarn and Lion Brand Boucle.
The yarn is usually hidden amongst the stationary and school supplies items so you have to look for it. The stock changes quite often so it’s worth the while to go in every so often to see if they’ve got new inventory.

After asking a couple of friends their opinion on some gift bags, wrapping paper, and tissue paper I purchased at Hallmark, I got lectured by them, «OMG I can’t believe you spent $ 15 when you can get these stuff for $ 1 each!» Well after that, I’ve been coming to Dollar Tree for goodies like that. Also, I come here to get items that I’ll be needing to send out care packages to out of state friends, like postal tape, bubble envelopes, and bubble wrap. All for a dollar! I feel like a dumbass spending up to 3x’s the amount for what I can find here.
