The service deli is awesome, every time I go I have to order with Jeremy, he’s tall and good looking ;) and so are his sandwiches ! I’ve had the other employees sandwiches there and they didn’t come close to Jeremy’s artwork. I recommend him at the deli, nice, sweet, sexy, and good talker :)

Parking lot is clean they have the new baskets all the baskets around up they ask if you need help out to your car all the young kids who work here are friendly smiling and love to see that and the people in the parking lot which is the public for stopping letting people go everyone was acting so polite and friendly here very nice CA, yay to Montebello.
Right next door you have Right Rite-​Aid and there is a Ross and a Chase Bank and a Dollar Tree and a nice Goodwill right here in the parking lot and Wells Fargo ATM and more

The prices are a big high on produce but the quality is there. I come here once in a while because of the convenient location. This location is always clean, and staff is friendly. I have had a problem with their stock probably because the times I have gone were late at night before they closed.
I’m a huge fan of their pastries, when ever I need a sweet plate for a party, this is my go-​to place.

This Von’s had something going on, half the fridges and areas where the meats and fish weren’t working. I asked the cashier what happened and he answered that there were repairs that needed to get done before and now it backed fired.

If it’s a good special advertised price, then they’ll be out of it. This place seems more like a corner market. They are always out of anything and everything. Baked bagels? Small selection. Baked chicken? They’l be out of that 40% of the time. If you need it, don’t rely on this place.

bruh I came in here with the sole intent of breaking a 20 so I could buy something outside the store and I got the weirdest experience I have ever gotten in the course of nothing more than 5 mins smfh

High prices, small selection of vegetables, no one is ever on the floor and there’s usually long lines at the cashier register. The workers are friendly here so it makes up for the cons!

Great customer service, store manager Steve is the best there is! I am a vendor here at the store and I deal with all supervisors and employee’s. They care a lot of there customers and always treat to 110% !

Love the cold food at Vons, thats the only reason we usually shop at Vons. We usually just get the asian salads, When we come here we always get good customer service

The absolutely worse service at a grocery store. The wait was insane, nobody was paying attention to the two lines that were five people deep and struggling cashier in one of them. I waited about 10 mins to check out my six items (with a 3 year old). This is a place I will go to only if I absolutely have no other choice. Sorry to Montebello friends that this is one of the only choices in town.

This store turns off the perimeter lights on hot days in the name of energy conservation. The lights over the higher margin processed food are left on. Corporate has evidently made a decision that a store in this area doesn’t deserve capital expenditures to upgrade the lighting to a system that is energy efficient and lights food. WHY WOULD I BUY MEAT & DAIRY In THE DARK??? Will not come back to pay higher prices in the dark

Great customer service which is why I continue to come here. Can work on the pricing of their products. To very high but some groceries items are higher compared to its competition. No matter, I still come here. Don’t drop your prices to much. You don’t wan to bring in customers that will impact and change the perception of the store. Some customers need to understand that this is not a 99c store.

Stars are for friendly cashiers and stockers, and yummy in-​house baked goods.
Everything here is overpriced. Even on special. Today their mangoes were on sale 2 for 5.00. I didn’t need mangoes or anything, but 2.50 for a mango is not a deal. ALSO, this was super gross: even with two stockers walking around the small produce section, my eye was caught by a tomato in one of those plastic clamshell cases that was almost half gray with fuzzy mold! Gross! I would love to know why no one had seen or done anything about that. A lot of other fruits look just kind of tired and limp. Makes me not trust their produce at all.
I usually have good experiences at the checkout, though once I held up the line because an item I was trying to purchase wasn’t in the computer. The cashier had to send the bagger to the aisle to bring the tag.
I avoid this Vons except when I don’t have a better option, or I need a great loaf of french bread, which they do have.

The prices are a little high compared to food for less or Superior BUT I always buy my produce here now, they have excellent produce and it’s always fresh.
The check out lanes are horrible though, the cashiers look clueless on what they are doing and take FOREEEEVER to ring up a customer. Even the express lanes are slow.
Other then produce, If I need some quick ingredients I’ll shop here I mean if I’m feeling lazy and don’t want to make the drive to Food 4 Less or Superior. (or don’t mind paying the high prices or have some time to spare in the check out LOL)

So three stars because the check out takes forever and the high prices are borderline ridiculous.
Oh one more thing the staff and manager are pretty friendly so that’s a Plus.

The store has some what cleaned up. The cart holder in the parking lot has been ripped broken and torn apart since Thanksgiving or longer. No one bothers to fix things. The lines are always long, some checkers do not know what they are doing and last but not least a person needs to comment loudly to open a new line while the store manager sits in the back in his office, I know because I am usually the one that complains!!!

Martha in the deli is the shit. She’s awesome & cool & always provides great service. If you don’t like her it’s most likely because you’re salty & rude. #TeamMarty

When I was new to the area it was hard for me to make up my mind as to which supermarket to shop at. The closest one to me is vons and after cruising through many stores this one really offers a good value and great service over all. Granted I still shop at other locations due to particular items they don’t carry .
My review is based on a mixture of 20 something times I have had a chance to visit the location. I am excited to be in a location that cares about me as a customer. There is a particular associate who knows me by name now. His name is Jose. He works in the hot food section but has helped me out multiple times through out the store. I consider myself a good cook and love to try new meals. Sometimes I’m looking for ingredients I’ve never used before. One time it was a particular cheese. Jose came and asked me if I needed help. I said yes and explained my problem. He showed me to the gourmet section and I found what I was looking for. He’s very friendly and goes out of his way, sometimes leaving the hot foods, to help me find the items I need. Great guy! I suggest you visit him!
With that there are a couple of items I can only find at a Hispanic groceries store. Other than that they truly do have a large selection of things.
The location is great. The shopping center is great I can stop at all the stores near by and have everything I need for a party or and event I’m hosting.
The cool thing about vons for me is their Friday fives. Items for just five dollars in Friday’s. I also enjoy the club card to earn points even on gas. A great trick is using the app. It lets you use sales and coupons not available in the store. You scan and redeem your personal online deals!

I guess we’ll shop in the dark. An employee says theyre saving energy by turning off all lights from all their shelves.

This is consistently the worst grocery store I have ever been to. The employees are rude and inefficient, the deli is often out of basic ingredients, and I have never waited in line to check out less than 20 minutes. No one here cares about the customers — is there even a manager here?
Today, I was on a 30 minute lunch break. I waited in the «express» line for 20 minutes without moving. They finally opened up a new lane. The lady in line behind me and I both had two items, so we were about to go to the new line so we could pay and get out, and the cashier tells us that we can’t switch lanes and proceeds to let another lady with a cart FULL of items switch to the new lane. Well I got in line behind the lady with a full cart, and when it was finally my turn, the cashier was rude and unapologetic. Aaaaand my 30 minute lunch break was over.
After today, I will not be shopping here again. There are plenty of other grocery stores in the area that are faster and treat customers with respect.

I enjoy shopping here but sometimes it’s a hit or miss when it comes to their inventory. I can’t go too late and not too early.
The area where they serve meals and stuff could do a lot better I tried to order myself a sub and just because I could not make up my mind on the bread the lady who was attending me stopped and went to help someone else. Uhh rude.
What really saves the day and makes it enjoyable to shop here is their VONS APP you can save a lot using it! One deal I got was on limes. The regular price was 50¢ EACH and because off the app, the price went down to 19¢ EACH!!!
