For Christmas last year my dad bought me a cocktails recipe book. Turns out he knows what his daughter really wants for Christmas.
Fast forward a few months to me planning a game night with my drinking buddies. I decided I needed to try to make something new. And so I decided on Slow Comfortable Screws.
Southern Comfort (check)

Sloe Gin (wtf is that?!?)
Trips to 3 grocery stores and 1 liquor store failed to yield the Sloe Gin I needed for my Slow Comfortable Screws. Panic time.
But I remembered this place being a pretty big liquor store. Quick phone call to the home-​girl Maria G. to ask her to stop and pick up a bottle if they had it. When she walked in my door holding that beautiful unspecial bottle of Sloe Gin I almost passed out in excitement.
If it wasn’t for this spot, I never would have got my Slow Comfortable Screw. It would have been just a Comfortable Screw. But sometimes, you need it slow. ;)
